  1. Absolutely! According to what you describe, you are flying in DCS World. So as long as the export for DCS World option is enabled, any aircraft you are flying (or not) in DCS World is going to be properly exported (including FC3 aircrafts). You can ignore the other export options which are for older versions of DCS/Lock-On.
  2. As you can guess this is a false positive. I have no idea why Chrome flags it as a malware... You can right click to accept it anyway. Tacview's installer is digitally signed. If you look at the properties, Windows will tell you that the signature is valid, which means it has not been infected or modified by a virus. (obviously I have no virus on my computer and Tacview is a nice program which does not do anything to the host system ;))
  3. Tacview 1.2.7 is available! http://www.strasoftware.com/download/tacview The tactical view has been noticeably improved in this version. Thanks to a lot of tweaks of the auto scale-up feature and more than 40 3D meshes used to represent the battlefield units, it is easier than ever to understand quickly what happened! The great DCS MiG-21bis add-on is obviously officially supported and you will find all the usual tweaks and fixes based on your feedback in this new release. Feel free to read the documentation about how to add and to replace the 3D objects offered by default: http://lomac.strasoftware.com/tacview-3d-meshes.php Enjoy! Vyrtuoz ADDED 3D meshes for world objets to replace the old triangle objects ADDED Support for DCS: MiG-21bis ADDED Support for DCS: Fw 190 D-9 ADDED Support for DCS: F-86F Sabre ADDED Roll-rate to the telemetry data and charts ADDED Added support for rollback in time in CSV flight recording files CHANGED Improved auto-scale feature CHANGED Improved support for CSV flight recording files (including files from Microsoft Excel) CHANGED Improved camera behavior CHANGED Improved shift/ctrl+click to select active objects in the 3D view FIXED DCS World export script installation was not working on a fresh install of DCS FIXED Fixed a bug in the 3D renderer which was triggering a crash with some OpenGL drivers
  4. First, thanks for your support and feedback! Please note that the merge feature is still in development and in a preliminary and experimental state. It will be improved in the coming releases. This first version is mainly supporting non overlapping data from different aircrafts. You can try to merge data from different players for the same network mission, but you may end with duplicated objects. The event log will output the proper initiator for hit events, even if it has been destroyed before the conclusion of its strike.
  5. Tacview 1.2.6 is available! http://www.strasoftware.com/download/tacview This version offers a preliminary support for file merge. This is mainly useful to merge recordings coming from different planes in real life. You can also import CSV files. This format can be easier to generate than GPX files in some cases. Target hit events recognition has been improved and you can now export the flight log in a CSV file very easy to read and inject in your leaderboards. The replay has been improved too: You can now display the aspect angle between selected objects. The long awaited auto scale-up option will give you both an excellent tactical view while keeping everything clear at a dog fight scale. I will try to offer you constant improvements like in this release while I’m rewriting step by step Tacview to reach an awesome v1.3. Any feedback is welcome! Enjoy! Vyrtuoz ADDED: Support for file merge ADDED: Option to auto scale-up distant objects ADDED: Support for flight recordings in CSV format (require at least Tacview Home) ADDED: Flight log can now be exported in CSV format ADDED: Aspect Angle can now be displayed between selected objects ADDED: Attacker is now displayed and exported for has_been_destroyed events ADDED: You can now scroll in time with left+right mouse buttons ADDED: A clear error message is now displayed in case of invalid command line ADDED: /? Command line option to display the command line help CHANGED: Improved the flight log XML export to be as easy to handle as the new CSV format CHANGED: Improved hit events detection to give more accurate results CHANGED: Falcon 4 BMS terrain is now selected by default while opening "Falcon 4.0" VHS files (instead of selecting Falcon 4 Old terrain) CHANGED: Slight improvement of objects auto-selection when opening a file FIXED: A crash when opening or merging files which are taking place over several years FIXED: XML dates more accurate than one second are now properly handled (improves GPX files support and XML debriefing export)
  6. Hi Fire 1) You don’t have to enter again your key. For every new release of Tacview, you can (re)enjoy for 21 days advanced features you can upgrade to. 2) I was in a rush to release this new version of Tacview so the release note may be wrong about that. The main improvement was about the added support of the Mi-8M, TF-51D and UH-1H. Sorry for the confusion. However, see the point 3=> 3) For now it is not possible to get such kind of information for the other units. However, I’m planning to replace the LUA script by a C++ add-on for DCS. If I succeed, Tacview replays are going to be million times better! (faster, more accurate, all the information of your dreams). I’m working on something else right now, so I didn’t have the time to check yet if there is an official documentation about that. If anyone can help me about getting the necessary authorizations or SDK, I will appreciate greatly!
  7. The 21-days are only to demo the advanced features of the home and professional editions. The rest of Tacview is free forever.
  8. Tacview 1.2.5 is available! Here it is! Tacview 1.2.5 for DCS World 1.2.8/Steam is now available http://www.strasoftware.com/download/tacview Release note: ADDED Advanced telemetry data for the Mi-8M, TF-51D and UH-1H ADDED Added support for Steam versions of DCS World ADDED Doubled max trail length to 2 minutes (instead of 60 seconds) ADDED Australia to DCS countries list ADDED Local plane data is now exported even when the host has disabled data export during a network game (not tested) CHANGED Imported latest terrain from DCS World 1.2.7 CHANGED EULA (removed repetitions and obsolete conditions) FIXED Advanced telemetry data for several aircrafts FIXED The strange cube attached to the Mi-8MT is now discarded (and so not displayed anymore during playback) Sorry again for the delay, I should be able to release more frequent updates this year and work at last on the v1.3!
  9. Absolutely: You can export the flight log in XML with any version of Tacview. You can export any telemetry data in CSV with Tacview Professional.
  10. @VJS161_Fire Unfortunately the radar locks are available only for the local aircraft in DCS. A long time ago, I asked the developers to make this information available for all the battlefield units, but apparently this hasn't been done yet… @Rongor Of course you can regain your key! Just send me a private message and give me your name and the email address you used to buy Tacview.
  11. Tacview 1.2.5 is on its way! Hi everyone! Sorry for the radio silence… I had familial problems to take care of during the past year. Now it looks like the end of the tunnel. I never abandoned you or Tacview and want to make it even better than it is! So here some answers to your questions: Often, when a new version of DCS is released some LUA export features are modified without notice and it takes me a bit of time to improve my export script so Tacview can work as perfectly as before. However, new releases of DCS rarely break the Tacview export script. I’ve tested Tacview with the USA enabled under all versions of Windows and 99% of export problems are because in multiplayer the host disables export capabilities. Please, remember that when you are playing online, the host often disables the export capabilities to prevent cheating. This is why Tacview is not able to get any data. As a workaround, you may replay the track file of you online flight later and Tacview should be able to record all of the data in a nice .acmi file. If you are the host and cheating is not an issue on your server, please follow the instructions provided here: http://lomac.strasoftware.com/tacview-dcs.php to authorize data export. About the FPS drops: A long time ago, I’ve done some tests with Flaming Cliffs and the first versions of DCS. The impact on performance was negligible. However, one can imagine that with the latest versions of DCS, playing huge missions with a lot of details can indeed generate a big load for the export script (LUA is far to be as fast as a native C++ code…). I’ve done some optimizations over the time. I will continue to do so in coming releases. Meanwhile, if the FPS loss is too much of an issue for you, you can still record a track file with Tacview export disabled while playing. Then after your flight, re-enable Tacview and playback the track file to record your data in a nice ACMI file. I’ve noticed that some of the advanced telemetry does not work perfectly with some aircraft like the P-51D. I’m currently working on it. This is not obvious for me because there is no documentation and I have to understand where to find the information by exploring DCS files and testing a lot of possibilities… The strategic view feature is planned for Tacview 1.3. I’ve taken the technological decisions and I’m working on some prototypes right know. The real time flight recording is planned for Tacview 1.4. It requires a huge rework of the export script and the way Tacview is managing data. Right now, I’m working on Tacview 1.2.5 to fix the export script installation and features. I will release more intermediate releases like this one to fulfill minor but useful requests from the community without making you wait for Tacview 1.3… By the way, I’m also working on a new dedicated website for Tacview. Something more modern and clear to answers your need and questions faster. As always your feedback is much appreciated! The best way to improve Tacview is to let me know about your personal experiences. What you wish to see added or improved. And if you see something strange in a playback, do not hesitate to share me your original .acmi.txt file (the text format is important because it is the original produced by my export script) and I will do my best to help you. Vyrtuoz
  12. Tacview 1.2.4 officially support DCS 1.2.3.10201. Please note that older versions of DCS will not be supported anymore. This is too much work for no benefits...
  13. I’m currently improving the automatic install for DCS World 1.2.3 export script. I should be able to publish a new version this week.
  14. I'm currently working on a solution for those who moved their "Saved Games" folder. I should publish an improvement in coming week.
  15. Of course you can go from Home to Professional! Just send me an email and I'll reply with the procedure to upgrade.
  16. Sorry for the late answer to your questions about script installation for DCS 1.2.3, I had a pretty busy week! Here the detailed steps you can follow to manually install the export script: http://lomac.strasoftware.com/tacview-dcs.php Please let me know which step was not completed by Tacview, so I can improve the automatic installation.
  17. Hi HiJack, Please ensure that you have installed Teka Teka Glideslopes in the appropriate folder. For example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stra Software\Tacview 1.2.3\Data\StaticObjects\Glideslopes.xml I've just tested it, and this is working fine with Tacview 1.2.3. Vyrtuoz
  18. Tacview 1.2.3 is now available! http://www.strasoftware.com/download/tacview It is fully compatible with DCS World 1.2.3. Before installing and using it, please remove any script you may have installed manually to avoid a mess! Enjoy!
  19. Indeed, I’ve already planned many improvements regarding the xml objects. In future version, it will be much easier to create new objects of any kind and enable/disable them. For example, it may be like in Google earth.
  20. You only have to install this new version. You product key will continue to work with it.
  21. Tacview 1.2.1 is out! http://www.strasoftware.com/download/tacview This version can displays turn-rate and turn-radius like in Falcon 4! I’ve also added support for static objects of type ‘border’ so you can create more user-friendly debriefings. Enjoy!
  22. Sure! This is a good idea. I'm going to see if I can do this in 1.2.2.
  23. Yes, this is one time purchase. All updates up to v1.999 will be free.
  24. Hello HiJack, Actually: With the home version you can: Display advanced telemetry (when available) like radar locks, IAS, gear, flaps, … Load GPX files See a worldwide map With the pro version you can: Draw charts Export telemetry data to csv files In coming releases: With the home version you will be able to: Do online debriefings (sharing your 3D view with teammates) With the pro version you will be able to: Display a global strategic view See a flight in real time, while recording
  25. Hi Slayer, You don’t have to buy a product key per simulator for Tacview. You should be able to read Superbug data with the same Tacview you are using to playback DCS data.
