  1. The Virpil product ordering process is not a pleasant one. You can have all the items you want in your shopping cart and I can almost guarantee every time you try to order from one of their restock sales you will be unsuccessful. It's always a pain and they know what their customers/prospective customers think - check their forums,
  2. Hi Yogi. Is the collective base enclsure/boot going to be available to order from your web page? I have been trying to get a price via email but have been unsuccessful.
  3. Uncheck/Untick the full screen option in the graphics setup menu. That stops you from clicking on the game menu whilst using spanning.
  4. They are used to lock the rudder effect on the pedals and turn them into car pedals. They slot into the runners with the dimple facing up. One in each side, rounded end to the back of the recess where the pedals slide. So effectively the toe brakes work as brake and accelerator pedals.
  5. Ok, managed to solve the problem. That doh! moment. I was running DCS in full screen mode and switching to windowed mode solved the problem. I hope by updating my message it may help someone else in future!
  6. Hi there I have just set up a triple monitor gaming PC. 2 x 970's with a triple monitor setup. If I try to run DCS with surround I get a BSOD. I have tried to run the 3 screen setting through the options and whilst the background appears in synch across the monitors I cannot actually click on the mission start GUI. I cannot select anything on that screen. I am confused with the lua editing at the moment with regards to how to achieve a 3 screen setup. Could anyone advise me how to add the clickable mission screen please. I have tried looking at the various tutorials but without success. I understand the screen positioning etc but not how to make a screen clickable over the background screen(s) I have set up MFCD's and didn't find that a problem, but this is just confusing me. Thanks Regards - Ian
  7. Even though I never win a thing I'll give it a try! Count me in. I'll even submit my pathetic picture! lol
  8. In my opinion the modules are worth getting. You do not have to remember loads of keys, only a few really. The various modes are switched by the numbers keys. If you want to make things really easy you can use a voice recognition program like "voiceattack" and speak to your aircraft! I don't play the Russian aircraft much, but I can say I find the A-10A & F-15C quite easy to operate. I have all the aircraft so far and I enjoy them all. Just get FC3 and you'll get all of the easy aircraft, but a couple with the advanced flight models. They are all easy to learn, especially if you've taken time to learn the A-10C.
  9. Is this what you are looking for? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70716&highlight=a-10+mfcd You need to edit the ViewportHandling.lua file. It switches the MFCD's in the cockpit off and displays them externally to other monitors. I hope this helps?
  10. Try changing the UH-1H entry to CockpitLocalPoint = {2.34, 0.37 , 0.0}, It works for me
  11. Tigershark - no problems, thanks - your tutorials helped me. So its good to be able to help others in return. sifhanar
  12. Hi Trueno When a button is assigned it is written to a .lua file for the device in use. You will need to edit that file. Example - for my A-10C config using a C.V.P joystick controller The lua file is saved as: c:/users/myname/Saved Games/DCS/Config/Input/A-10C/joystick/C.V.P Joystick{loads of letters and numbers in these brackets}.lua Opening the file using notepad++, and searching for "laser" I find on line 449 the command line {down = iCommandPlaneAHCPLaserArm, name = "LASER switch ARM", category = "Armament HUD Control Panel"}, Which tells me that in the down/closed position the switch assigns the command "iCommandPlaneAHCPLaserArm" to DCS Also I note an other laser command "iCommandPlaneAHCPLaserSafe" which is essentially the OFF command When I assign a physical switch to the laser arm switch in the program the command line is changed slightly by DCS to now read {combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN65"}}, down = iCommandPlaneAHCPLaserArm, category = "Armament HUD Control Panel"}, Returning the swith to its open i.e. OFF position we need to tell DCS that when the switch Isn't thrown (i.e. in the "up" position) that the command "iCommandPlaneAHCPLaserSafe" is sent to DCS, so I add the command "up = iCommandPlaneAHCPLaserSafe" into the line like this: {combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN65"}}, down = iCommandPlaneAHCPLaserArm, up = iCommandPlaneAHCPLaserSafe, name = "LASER switch SAFE", category = "Armament HUD Control Panel"}, Basically I just copied the command from the other line setting the switch to safe! That's the way I do it and it seems to work Ok. If there is another was can someone please enlighten me? I hope this helps? sifhanar
  13. Hi overpro, thanks for your reply. I did look at the diagram but unfortunately my knowledge of electronics is severely limited. I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of an idiots guide on how to connect to the device. The only electronics construction I have done is to build kits that have instructions showing me where to place components on a board! Thanks
  14. Thanks for the info in this thread. I am new to the simpit building and would like to follow this route to build my first panel. I am Ok with the software side of things but ignorant with the hardware side. How would I wire switches to the arduino? If someone could point me in the right direction I would be obliged. Examples of how to wire a switch or a button in simple terms would be great. Thanks.
  15. I am in the UK and would definately be interested.
