I wonder how the Rb-05 will play out in the sim(if its included) since we dont got anything like it(AFAIK) For those who dont know, the Robot-05 is a guided missile you guide with a joystick and by visual. It got a flare attached to make it easier to see it and smokeless fuel.

The AJS dont have a cannon but it can mount 2x 30mm cannons but there were only for A2G and Im pretty sure the radar do not support A2A with the gunpods

If we would get a new map with a bit of swedens coast etc, it would be fun with some "fantasy" missions with tomcats escorting viggens from a carrier against asoviet invasion

Here is a video of SK60(a Swedish training jet) excising a typical Viggen attack maneuver where the plane is coming in at low altitude and then do a steep climb, roll over, then back again, fires of the armament quickly and then RTB. [ame] [/ame] This is what the Viggen was designed for and its why it did not have any cannon :)

Awesome news! Hopefully you will see this Cobra, I can probably get access to a Viggen in Västerås Flygmuseum if you guys need some HD pictures if there is any small thing you guys are missing. Just wondering if there is an interest and if so I can contact them(got some good contacts with the guys taking care of them). Just want to help. Especially now when I got free time over from school :) Btw I believe there is both an AJ and a JA there.

Hello How do you use the Mirage in the most effective way in pure A2A combat? As a noob dogfighter when it comes to jet and missiles I would appreciate every tip for both offensive and defensive such as avoiding missiles. I know how to use the systems(however I dont know what the range are for the S30 and where can you see the range of enemy planes on the radar?) but need help with just how to act in combat since I get shot down every time as soon the enemy got missiles :joystick: I have been sticking to mostly ground combat but I would like to get better with my A2A skills especially for the Mirage since its an amazing A2A plane :) Regards T0x1s

Do anyone have some tips on just dogfighting and using the missiles? I know how to use everything but not in an effective way and as a new A2A pilot its even harder. No matter what I try I always get shot down. Would love some tips and how you guys do it :)

Sorry for not being clear about the links. There were many hangars and parkings on roads close to real airfields where you could protect and hide planes easier. Most of the roadbases are connected or close to real military airfields so in case the airfield got destroyed you could hide the planes in hangars or parkways connected to roads that were connected to the airfields. A good example is the 2nd google link. It shows a hangar connected to a road. It was active a lot during the old days and it was operated by Tunnan and the Draken. Its going to be really interesting attacking ships with the radar missile Robot-15F and Robot-04E. Both of them are freaking huge. 2 anti ship radar missiles can be equipped on the Viggen. I dont know if this works on the 04E but on the 15F you can actually change target for the missile after launch. Some more info how the Maverick will be used: It will work like in the A-10 except that the monitor is in the tube looking thing to the right of the hud. The mavericks camera can be used up to 30 degrees to each side however it is only allowed to fire up to 15 degrees of angle. So you will basically have the same look as in the A-10. You also aim the Maverick with the radar joystick The robot 05A is the most interesting missile on the Viggen. You fire it and then steer it with a "joystick" to your right bye eye. It has low smoke fuel and a flare attached to it so you can track it easier. The manual also mention that you can use it against slow moving air targets but its mainly for sea and ground targets. 2 can be equipped at the same time. Sprängbomb m/71 - 120 kg bomb. Chute can be used on it. Lysbomb m/71 - flare Akan m/55 - 30 mm pods. 2 can be equipped at the same time.
