Since NTTR is open Alpha release right now, is it free to everyone or do I still have to purchase it to try the Alpha? Thanks. (Sorry for super dumb question)

Like what spawn said, i think it's because it's PFM modeled so it's much easier to hit something and for something to go wrong. But also, I do think that it needs to be a bit tougher despite it being easily damageable; the A-10 is known to be a very tough aircraft and I don't think the MFDs or HUD etc. should go out with a simple hit of a .50 or 12.7mm etc.

yes, but interestingly, searching on Google will find you many pictures of Razbam's F-15E development in the past. They actually said that the avionics are almost completely finished and there are pictures of the MFDs working etc. Althoguh it's modern, it's still a 80s to 90s plane and there are enough information i would think (hopefully)

but I think prc still have a long way to go though. First of all, they don't have much history for making "gamechanging" aircraft and secondly, there could be many factors that affects the development of their new jet (political instability or even maybe labour force despite having so many people). Not saying that the US or Russia doesn't have this problem, but at least they have reputation, history and they can learn and develope from past expereicnes. (I am Chinese by the way :) )

Yup, agree with you except basically Russia and USA are the only big jets manufacture... all other countries buy their jets (no hate, I know it's overgeneralization) :lol:

I agree that we need more Russian planes at high fidelity. But most people do want to have Western planes though. YOU KNOW WHAT WE NEED ALLLLLLL OF THE PLANES! But we do still have some nice Russian planes, 21, 15, su25, 27, 29, 33. Just not too many at clickable, A-10C levels yet.

The idea of an 117 would be awesome, but I don't think we're there yet. The role for the 117 as others have stated is for strategic bombing and in real war, this is very important because you can strike specific ammunition depots/supply lines...etc. This doesn't matter as much if at all in DCS so... My first priority aircraft would be F-15E. Just my two cents.

But the F-15E is the countered by just about everything that counters the F-15C in terms of air superiority. For ground attack and CAS, I would say the 29s and 27s still counter that role as well because they also can deliver bombs and rockets...etc.

I was curious and I searched up "DCS F-15E" on Google and I was surprised to find that there were many pictures and threads about F-15E model by Razbam. I was really excited, then I looked at the date the posts were made and realized they were like 2 years old and then I got sad... so what happened to the F-15E module? I WOULD KILL FOR A MODULE AND PRE ORDER THE SHIT OUT OF IT :pilotfly:

Yes, the 15 is known for being able to fly with one wing. In fact, it's LIGHT WORK, especially if you are lucky and your hydraulics didn't get shot as well. The A-10 on the other hand, is a WHOLE different story, from what I've experienced, flying it for only a few days so far.

But 120s can hardly reach a maneuvering target 10 miles or farther. Really, I think what ED should do is improve the electronic warfare complexity and make it much more realistic, because then ECM and chaff would be effective up to realistic standards and so then they will be able to increase all missiles' range, energy efficiency and the such without having to worry too much about being overpowered and unplayable. :music_whistling:

My dream of the DCS collection would be full fidelity everything that we already have in the sim (Mig 29... I'm looking at you) along with F16 (basically from BMS) an F-18C or above (probably no higher than Charlie because of mil restriction) and F-15E, but once again, probably never gonna get that anytime soon due to mil restrictions, so I'll settle for a very high quality F-15C. Oh yeah, leatherneck is also working on an F-14 which is truly amazing, but I'm still slightly afraid that it will throw off the balance of the sim because of the 54s xD

Does anyone know where the manual reversion control is? Maybe this will help when all the hydraulics bleeds away xD

So obviously we know that in real life, the A-10 is built like a tank and it's SUPPOSED to be able to fly with half of one wing missing according to wikipedia, but several times I've had my wing ripped off pulling too many Gs and a clean half of one wing was gone, however, I couldn't control the aircraft at all, maybe a little bit, and eventually I end up crashing. So what's the secret? What am I doing wrong? I also see some players on YouTube occasionally, landing the A10 with 1 wing, so I know it's definitely possible. All I want to do is make fights more survivable. Thanks.

Damn, really well explained. I know that the SPI is just basically whatever the SOI is looking at, not an actual target, but the rest of the information is ultra helpful. Thanks a lot!

Which then begs the question... WHERE'S THE F-18? xD I remember receiving a news letter last year talking about the development and progress of the F-18. We haven't really gotten any more information ever since.

Hmm, so do I set the target as SPI with my TGP, switch to Mavericks, slave to SPI, then switch back to TGP and move around using TGP?
