actually I should correct myself. The split S is actually a "complicated" maneuver when it comes to G force acceleration. because you start off inverted it produces positive Gs. Someone more knowledgeable would be in a better position to explain the rest of the acceleration forces throughout the maneuver. (I believe it it goes from longitudinal to lateral back to longitudinal ) The point is, you can't compare 2 different airframes doing two different maneuvers. DanielNL try and redo your test with both jets doing hard sustained turns at the same speed. If anything I would bet that FC3 jets are actually too forgiving than the fullsim jets.
-
You might have misunderstood what I meant. speed will dramatically increase the G forces on a maneuver. Again you cannot compare two different maneuvers at different speeds. A split S will produce negative Gs (which is MUCH harder on the body), while a hard bank turn will produce positive Gs) The one thing this game does not really model is redouts under negative Gs. It uses the same GLOC effects (greyout, tunnel vision, blackout) as positive G effects.

SA-19?? they don't intercept missiles. SA10 TOR avenger and patriots do. none will engage the LD10
-
What units engage the LD10? Cause I haven't seen any engage it yet As was pointed out from a previous post the LD10 has the same RCS as the SD10 AA missile.
-
Actually let me rephrase, both AKG and LD10 have very low RCS which makes them invisible to SAM. Thereby making the JF17 the best SEAD platform in game.
-
none. it makes the JF-17 the best SEAD platform in game.

please make ground crew able to connect air + power while refueling
Dagger71 replied to D4n's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Actually refueling is one of the most dangerous jobs for ground crew, so there would not be any other tasks going on at the same time. -
Intercom radio menu popping up for no apparent reason
Dagger71 replied to Razor18's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
If you have none of the three bound to anything then I'd suggest running a repair. There is something wrong on your end for sure. -

do you have "HM press" bound to anything? "INT press" and "Rotary selector INT" would be the other commands that might bring up an intercom dialog box. -

"hidden" FARP becomes visible on mission start.

The track is fine. Working as intended. You have it set to hidden (on map), it is not visible on map. It does exists in the 3D world, and no you can never make that or any unit invisible. Any unit added will have a 3D collidable object representation. . And it would be very silly to ask ED to make units invisible in game. If you do not want that FARP to be visible you must delete it from the ME! There are no cloaking abilities in DCS. I know you want the ability to be able to re-arm/refuel without having heli pads, that is a completely different issue which is in fact a wishlist. Definitely not a bug! -

It looks like he thinks “hidden” means invisible in game world. -
I think it sounds great but maybe turn off the "hear like in helmet" so you hear like the recording ?

HAhahaha! What??? That's not how it works.

There is no way anyone's PC would be able to run DCS if every town, village, wadi or Bedouin settlement were included in the PG map. They absolutely had to cut out the vast majority of these areas (would be over 1000s in our PG map alone!) and what we have now is fantastic and a excellent compromise between realistic and actually playable map. Caucasus is also missing hundreds and hundreds of smaller towns. You cannot use google maps which is only a picture, to compare to a DCS map with manually placed objects. You need to have realistic expectations.

why does worldwide disasters sometimes bring out the worst in people? First someone suggesting a "corona virus sale", now this???????
-
But why ? It would make no difference. It's about the number of bogeys you shoot down, not about how many pilots you kill. Historically when pilots put kill decals on their planes (from WWII to modern) they only put the number of planes destroyed. You could have shot the same pilot 3 during the war... it doesn't matter. You still get 3 kill credits. No need to add pilot deaths as it is completely irrelevant. Yes it's one of the problems you seem to have when posting in the bug sections when there are not bugs at all. In just the past week you posted no less than 6 "bug reports" that are not even bugs at all!
-
why is that so shocking? It's been like this since day one! I should expand on that and mention Multiplayer. In single player campaigns you actually have to survive to continue. In MP if your plane is destroyed, you get a loss counted against you and the person who shot you down gets the kill credit (regardless of if you ejected or survived the crash). Either way, if you survive a crash that destroyed your plane, you cannot interact with the menus.
-
It wasn't heavily damaged, it was destroyed because you could not access any menu. DCS does not differentiate between destroyed aircraft with a live or dead pilot. Once destroyed (whether or not the pilot lived), you cannot interact with any menus. The loss counts against you, and if there were kill messages on the server it would show up. TAC commander can see a damaged friendly plane but cannot see a friendly destroyed plane because it is essentially removed. Again this is to eliminate any exploits. If you want to use CTLD, don't crash your plane so bad it gets set on fire!

[NO BUG]Settings-window won't open with "Esc" when in spectator
Dagger71 replied to D4n's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
When were we ever able to access the settings window in the server lobby?
