  1. I avoid this altogether by binder UFC rocker switch to arrow keys. Then MaV stays SOI at all times.
  2. Fair enough but once you are in the kill box, at least 75% of your time should be spent looking at the TGP for threats. And it should be on display at all times until your weapons are on safe. The more streamlined your procedures are, the better pilot you will become.

You seem to be doing a really roundabout way of setting up MPs to fire on with Mavs. First why don't you have both TGP and Mav on your MFDs instead of switching between TGP and Mav displays? 1 Set up markpoints with TGP (ensuring AAP STEER PT dial to Mark of course) 2 SPI to steer 3 Mav SOI 4 Cycle MPs using the UFC rocker (which I bind to my arrow keys to avoid using the mouse) 5 Lock target and fire repeat 4-5 until all units destroyed by doing it this way you can fire 6 mavs very rapidly, in your videos I am losing track as to what exactly you are doing.
  4. Yes it is possible to fire multiple mavs using markpoints. I bind the UFC rocker switch to my arrow key so I can cycle STP without changing SOI.
  5. wow I thought this issues was acknowledge by ED a long time ago. Yes this is only on MP and due to some major netcode issues. Can't remember which update caused it (possibly Jan2020??) , but it started happening the moment MP servers updated. PvP PvE doesn't matter. I am quite disappointed by BIGNEWY's response. I only get this issue in MP but it is possible it is also an issue in SP, but I don't experience that at all. PS forgot to add this happens to more than 1 module.
  6. to be honest I think those AP buttons get pressed maybe twice within the entire flight by a real KA50 pilot.
  7. I am going to say with 99.99% certainty you have the zoom or center button are double bound. What are your zoom buttons? are you using a slide? what are you using for Trackir center?
  8. ^^^^^ The damage of the HARM was calculated to be around 1%! There is a PG mission on a popular PvE server that has the russian cruise, which is is the most dangerous unit in game. It will engage jets from 40-50 nm and will shoot down everything thrown at it.
  9. can you provide a track? you won't see massive explosion unless it destroys something, but you should still see fragmentation type sparks when the bomblets detonate (although it seems underdone in game than IRL)
  10. Autostart is a script that runs assuming no payload attached to help those learning the aircraft. It is not a dynamic script that changes depending on payload. It is a learning tool. A good pilot will always use his checklist prior to taxi to ensure all procedures have been followed.
  11. It does the same thing with 120C X 4 and 120B X4 It will show 8 AB or 8AC depending on step selection. I think it's just a shortcut to let the pilot know how many missiles are left, without making the distinction between the variants and avoid cluttering the HUD
  12. ILS is not a requirement of IFR nor during instrument meteorological conditions. As long as you have the required flight instruments and follow ATC you can land. Now in game we do not have a proper ATC so IFR with IMC landings without ILS are a lot harder as we do not get feedback, unless a human GCI is on. DCS is lacking in ATC/aifield interaction, but it is supposed to be improved on in the future (properly working runway lights, better ATC). For now, white knuckle it till touchdown! To be honest I don't remember the last time I used ILS in game...
  13. Chuck's guide page 4,5 and pages 45-50 will give you a good rundown of how the HOTAS works in the A10C. This is not an easy module. But one of the best once you get some of the basics down. Even after a flying it for a couple of years you will still learn some of the nuances of the systems.
  14. Look under TMS FWD LONG in the keymapper. I don't know how many 4 way switches there are on the T Flight but use modifiers to create more using the same switch. I did this back when I first started out with the 3D pro. You should really invest some time into trying to map out these 4 way buttons: TMS, DMS, Coolie. There are some good A10C Graphical HOTAS config charts to help. Each of the way way swiches could be either short or long and will vary their command depending on what sensor is SOI. Ex: TMS FWD short could either be Hook (TAD), Area/Pnt (TGP), Stabilize (HUD), Scan (aim9), Track (Mav) TMS FWD LONG however will always be Set SPI regardless of what is SOI. It seems very daunting at first but it is key to using the A10C effectively.
  15. TMS FWD long. It is Set/Create SPI (Sensor Point of Interest). It is similar to target designate but can do so much more and all systems can be slaved to this point. You should really read up on SOI and SPI as everything in the A10C evolves around this concept (Chuck's guide or manual). SOI is the sensor, and SPI is the point it creates.
  16. I never suggested Tacview does such thing. Tacview almost certainly does not have the most up to date missile information for the AKG. The current Tacview version is almost 3 months old. These things happen with Tacview. Give it some time and they will update it. No there is a lot more to it than that.

  19. Seems to be a tacview issue and the person you turned to is trying to pass the buck. if it doesn't behave the way you describe it in game and only in tacview, then it is most certainly a tacview issue. Has Tacview even been updated with AKG ?

  21. It only happens in the 3rd party campaigns. I don't want to promote one over another but yes it happens with some heavy scripting that currently can only be found in 3rd party missions/campaigns
  22. Yup confirmed on my end as well. I usually toggle between TWS and RWS to break lock.

  24. Can you elaborate? Is the TGP supposed to snap back to designated point after you cage/uncage? I've never heard this before.
  25. so now you are contradicting your initial request to have new modules released on stable version. You now want new modules to be only released on closed beta??
