  1. Sorry if I'm a bit dumb, I want to use sone of the modules under the free to play off, how do I go about that. The only option I am seeing on the store is Buy. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  2. Fair play, I could probably have worded it a bit better to be honest, so if I have caused offence then I apologise. Its purely that as I mentioned, your first two products were so good and diverse in terms of what they offered, that I wanted things to carry on in the same vein (I dont think I am alone in that wish). I understand that you need revenue to carry on and that FC3 provides that, I just enjoy the DCS Series and want to see more of it (I dont think I am alone in that either). Again, sorry for the slight bout of grumbling (I am British and we arent allowed to grumble, its the law apparently)
  3. Frankly, any ACTUAL DCS aircraft would be nice, rather than faffing around with Flaming Cliffs reworks and WW2 fighters (not enough of those around apparently). I really had high hopes when DCS was announced and they released the superb Black Shark and A-10C, as they were aircraft that were different and not the usual target of simming companies. After that it appears ED that are relying on 3rd party developers to provide the excitement. I bought that Huey and that is excellent, I just dont get why they seem to focussing on FC3 at the expense of more interesting fayre. Ho hum.
  4. Frankly I would just like ED to actually stop retereading old ground with things like improved fm's for the Su25 and A10a and start making proper DCS level aircraft again. That was the point of it all in the first place wasnt it? I had such high hopes after the A-10c that there was finally a company that were into making high fidelity study sims, and now they seem to have gone off in all sorts of directions involving ww2 aircraft (not enough wwii flight sims obviously) and making new models for flaming cliffs. The only saving grace is that there seem to be a few other smaller companies that have taken up the slack making interesting aircraft like the mig 21 and the huey.
  5. Brisse I have supported the company since it started out and bought Lock on, FC, A-10 Beta, Black Shark 1 + 2 so I think I stand in a pretty good place in terms of how much money I have thrown their way over the years. Six months down the line, I could staomch, but 1 sodding month is a kick in the nads from where I stand.
  6. Well frankly I feel more than a bit jipped by the Huey being $19.99 when I paid full price for the frickin Beta. Won't be making that mistake again with any modules from now on!
  7. Think I will pass on the F15 and S-27, shame as I was looking forward to them, but I think I will wait for a High Fidelity fighter, be it made by ED or someone else.
  8. A decent Gulf map would be great, as would Korea.
  9. Its been 3 years so far I believe and quite frankly I would make a suggestion, but by the time it comes out I will be too old and senile to remember what I suggested.
  10. Will the F15C be the updated model with the newer radar APG-63(V)2 ?
  11. From the newsletter it seems that the f-15C is going to probably be the next DCS Aircraft, which interestingly is the aircraft that came last in the Wishlist vote. :noexpression:
  12. From what I understand, they cant model the Longbow as its radar is still highly classified and they wont model systems that they cant replicate to a very high degree of fidelity (admirable, but frustrating) To be honest, the lack of any real info at all regarding the next offical aircraft is getting a bit old to be honest, but ho hum it is what it is and all that.
  13. Right, i seem to have lost thread somehwere between all the tooing and froing between Weta and Alfa. Can someone clarify what version of the SU27 ED will be modelling?????
  14. Rough Timeframes would be nice. All the thrid party add ons with a couple of exceptions are going to be 1-2 years off probably, hoping that the next offical ED DCS plane turns up sometime soon, and I just hope that they are not prioritising the FW190 and CA development over the next Jet. Of course its up to them, its their business, its just my personal feelings.
  15. Which is a fair comment. Although I personally would appreciate more realism in systems etc, I do realise that this will take a bit of time to get there. This does look like a good starting point though.
  16. Probably, If they havent even picked an aircraft you are probably looking at a year or more.
  17. Its not a whine, more of a comment but its a bit dissapointing that they mentioned the new DCS Jet many months ago and now it appears that they still havent even decided what it will be yet Still, its up to them and I you have to live with it. Worse things happen at sea and all that.
  18. I dont really get the secrecy thats involved with the new aircraft. Its not as if a competitor would immedietly jump on the bandwagon and start making their own version to be realsed before the DCS one. They wouldnt have the development time to do it. ED dont owe us an answer, they dont owe us anything quite frankly, but it would be nice to know all the same. Dont flame me, its just a passing comment and not a whine or a rant, i'm just a little puzzled, thats all.
  19. Share what, he knows nothing more than any of us do (which incidentaly is absolutely bloody nothing).
  20. F-16 would be a big turn off for me. Already played Falcon to death and am looking for something that is a bit different. F18 or F15E would be my choice to be honest.
  21. Sod this, I'm going to wait a couple of days, its soul destroying watching the torrent limp along at 1.3kbs. :(
  22. At the moment the torrent is runing at 2kbs and will be finished in 6 weeks.
  23. Hoping its either f15e or F18. Weve already had a falcon sim and Lock on modelled a pretty good f15a so something a bit different would be good. Wouldnt be overly keen in just revisiting aircraft (I know the a-10 was in lock on, but it wast the C).
  24. I work in the Defence industry and recently went for a site visit with BAE Systems at the facility where they design and build the Helmet mounted display system for the Typhoon. They showed us a finshed version and it was incredible. They project the display onto the underside of the Visor rather than use a monocle like the apache system so the pilot can see virtually all the instrumentation even if he isnt looking at it. Each one costs about £250K.
