  1. I have a really hard time slewing to the target when using the CH products throttle slew button. It seems like the slightest adjustment slews it way off the target after using slave all to SPI. By the way also since I slave all to SPI why can't I just fire my Maverick then instead of using the slew button to move off target just to have to get back on it before I can fire? I have adjusted the Mav Slew down to 2 and also 1 with no improvement. I have also gone into the DSMS and adjusted the slew rate there. Is anyone using a set up in the controls dialog that works really well for them?
  2. Today I was watching a DCS you tube video and the pilot called inbound for landing and the QFE given was 3857. How is that even possible?
  3. Yes that seems to be the only work around, to set the TACAN first thing before pressing any mouse buttons. Thanks for the replies. Frustration level back to zero now.
  4. I use the CH Products Fightersick USB and CH Pro Throttle USB. There are close to enough buttons to use as HOTAS. They have great software for programing and they both seem to be pretty robust in their design and manufacture. The price was less than $200.00 as I recall. Never using anything other than extreme 3d Pro which I would not recomend due to its lack of buttons and hats for HOTAS the CH Products seem to be the best fit economically.

  6. Anyone know of a work around for this TACAN problem? I can't set the TACAN because the ones and tens numbers don't respond to the mouse input. I have tried a USB mouse I have even keyed both dials to keyboard keys but have had limited luck with any of it. Makes it hard to practice finding a tanker and ILS landings. I read that a fix is in the next upgrade but I can't see having to wait for the next upgrade everytime something gets screwed up.
  7. It is called refuel.miz that I thought I had downloaded from this site. I have flown up to the tanker through TACAN and hung out in pre refuel position.

I started a thread the other day that dealt with the Tanker not responding to me on its set frequency but the bigger problem that I need help with is why when I hit mic forward the F-6 options don't show up in the radio options window. I get F2, F5, and a couple of others but never the tanker options. Anyone know why this might be happening this is in easy radio on and off and radio assist selected or not selected. Thanks in advance for your input.
  9. Anyone know what I am doing wrong with the VHF radio. I set it for 150.00 for the tanker and when I depress the forward radio button for VHF AM, only ATC, Ground crew and exit shows up in the radio call window. Why does the tanker F9 options not show up? Any help is appreciated. By the way thanks for your help with setting the TACAN frequency that now works.
  10. Does anyone else have a problem setting the TACAN Frequency? I can get the X and Y to change with a right click of my mouse but can't get the numbers to change with the left mouse button. The dial just spends for about 1 1/2 revolutions and then stops without changing any of the numbers. Any thoughts out there?

  12. I downloaded FC3 and when I start it it asks for the activation code. I have not received any email with an activation code. I did have problems last night downloading it and posted about that but this morning it said it was ready for download but got no activation code also if I hit exit it loads the program but all of the plane is not there and no cockpit. Please help me with this.
  13. I'm trying to download FC3 and before the download starts I get an eror message which reads= 550 /dcs/software/DCSWORLD/FC3_1.2.6.17746.255_263.exe: No such file or directory. I have DCS world, A-10c and Lock on Modern warfare installed. This appears to be a server problem. Is there any help out there for me? Pinefang
  14. Can someone tell me what start up requirements there are to engage the EAC switch located behind the throttle quadrant. I attempt to throw the switch but it moves back to the off position. I usually take off and try it later in the flight and it will usually stay on after awhile. Is there a time requirement for activation?
  15. So I've been trying to build a mission to practice A to A refueling. So I create the tanker and try to add advanced waypoint actions of, start TACAN, set frequency, and orbit. I must be doing something wrong cause I can't get the tanker to do all three functions after it takes off. I can get it to do two but never all three. Should I be setting these triggers up in advanced waypoint settings or the trigger set up? I would really like someone to post a picture of the setup for the tanker that works correctly. I would even download a mission that someone else has built if possible so I can dissect the build. Thanks in advance.
  16. I once found the page to select different munitions loads but can no longer find it can someone direct me to it? I read that it is in mission planner but I can't find it there. Please help, I want to set up a training mission and train with certain loads so I would like to change the load outs. Thanks in advance.
  17. I have learned to use the X & Z keys only to steer up to 80 knots on the runway then I use the stick to control direction until lift off. Sure do miss my last controller that had a twist stick that controlled steering, but it doesn't have the needed buttons that my Fighterstick has.
  18. Thanks guys I did some searching and found that some use the X&Z keys which is a bit weird but have found no other option.
  19. For those that use the CH Fighterstick what control do you use to control the nose gear up to 80 knots. My old Extreme 3D pro rotated for the nose gear but my new Fighterstick does not, Any help out there please.
  20. You must be an Englishman. Yes Woodbridge does have all of the amenities. I recall many of my friends had to make sure they had plenty of p when they went home at night to feed the electric box and don't forget in my house the weekly filling of the propane tank for the propane heater we had to use and eight people piled on a couch to stay warm. They were glory days. It was different there than here but a positive experience.
  21. Will someone that is associated with designing of the software please fix the swaybraces on the A10 picture that is shown as the mission is loading. As an old Weapons loader it bugs the crap out of me every time I see that picture and all of the weapons are hanging on the bomb racks with all of the swaybraces in their stowed positions. It may not be obvious to many but it is to me. Thanks, perfect game otherwise.

  23. Yes I was at RAF Woodbridge from 1979 thru 1981 when all of this supposedly went down. I can tell you that absolutely no information about this event was released to anyone on or off base within unofficial channels. I didn't here of it until just a few years ago from a Discovery channel special and was as surprised as anyone that this allegedly occurred while I was there. Woodbridge was a small base with one runway and at night when the base closed the back gate road was very dark and went about 3/4 of a mile north from the aircraft parking area with the forest on either side. I can tell you one thing England is the darkest place you will ever see at night and I used to walk down that road and jump over the fence where my wife would pick me up after working the swing shift and it was spooky but I never saw or heard anything of this report. Sorry.
