In consideration of your sim experience forgive me as I don't want to appear to question your knowledge of the A-10C but are you switching Anti-Skid on before using the brakes? I too use a button for my brakes and have never experienced this problem.

Hi all, I was unable to attend the training session but would like to keep up on the reading so where can I find chapter 9 that is being referred to? I've looked in the A-10C flight manual and the DCS World manuals and they aren't divided into chapters. Help please.

A10C MFCDE on the IPAD This thread has gotten so huge, can any one tell me the easiest way to get the a10c MFCD on my ipad without having to read trough all of these posts? I did try but after reading a few I get turned around and confused. Anyone want to post something simple that a commoner can understand?

I've been working on the CDU triangulation all afternoon, sat and watched the video 5 times and wrote down every button push and direction the plane flew in. Then I made my own mission with just me and an SA-10. Yep, got shot down before I could get the coordinates input into the CDU. Then when I finally got it all in, my track lines didn't even cross. I will get it and I think it's a lot easier than A to A refueling.

Not the green plane symbol. I am flying Dragons weapons training HARD and when the JTAC sends coords to my tad and I make it my SPI then go to TGU and china hat forward long, a predator UAV appears in the MFCD screen flying around in circles. This happens every time I try to make the red triangle my SPI. I will try the TMS right and up long to see if that works for me.

Thanks guys but I don't think you have to input the coords in the CDU when they are sent directly to the TAD from JTAC. I will try doing the TMS up long with the cursor but so help me if it locks on that darn UAV again I'm going to shoot it down.

Here's the scenario, JTAC sends target coordinates to my TAD I return with wilco and the red triangle appears. At this point how do I make that target my SPI? I have tried slewing my cursor to it and doing a TMS up short then TMS up long but I keep locking on to the UAV and not the transmitted target. So is there another way to make the target my SPI? I know I can input the coordinates and the UTM into my CDU but there has to be a better way to do it from the TAD. Thanks as always

I surly don't know everything about the CDU but most of what I do know I learned from the you tube videos. Every question I have had was answered on a you tube video, plus of coarse this great forum.

Dragons Training pack Hi m9matt I can understand Dragons situation as I have been there under other situations. I hope him the best. I too thank you for taking some time to look at these radios as even on Hoggit Tuesday night we were flying these missions. The missions are great for training and I for one think there was a lot of work and insight put into developing them by Dragon and therefore feel they still provide a great training environment for us noobs. I tried out the two missions under version 1.2.7 last night that you posted and I was still unable to contact the local tower of Kolki. Again we appreciate the time you might contribute in fixing these problems for us

So, how are the terms useful to me flying a CAS mission? I understand the altitude, miles and bearing but I'm lost to the rest of the info.

Was flying a mission in ver 1.2.7 and the AWACS (magic) kept calling on the radio with Hawg 1-1 Magic bra 183 for 10 at 2000 flanking. Anyone care to decipher this communication for me so I know what is being said? Thanks

I've always thought it was a little difficult to spot targets in hot, but adjusting the gain on the TGP helps me a lot.

So I've got these two programs installed so now what do I do? I want to start dipping my toes into MP but haven't figured out how to engage with these two programs. Any help out there?

Trouble in open beta version I am having problems with communicating by radio in the 127 open beta version using your training missions ie. Freeflight v40, Weapons Training etc. Would you have to modify the training files to get the radios to work in this version. Would you have time to look into this as I like flying your training missions as I have learned alot from them. Thanks

I am using version 1.2.6. What do you mean it is broken? The only other problem I have is on the radio at 150 megh.

I believe without actually reading any of the tactics manuals that terrain masking and knowing your surroundings ie. enemy locations is one of the best ways to survive bugging out after an attack on your enemy. You mention speed and climb rate but this bird was built for low altitude calisthenics and it is very good at them if you employ them.

Thanks again to everyone that has responded I finally got a connect then fueling complete and disconnect it only lasted for less than a second but it was fulfilling. It wasn't much but it was an improvement. I will keep practicing.

Well I hate to admit it but I'm sure I have over 20 hours trying to A to A refuel this thing. Not once have I been able to even connect for even an instant. As soon as I'm in position and the boom operator starts moving in my plane moves out of position. I have watched the you tube videos, trimmed trimmed trimmed, used 40% speed break, and adjusted curvature to 15. Anyone have any tips beyond what I have already done? It looks so easy for some people on you tube I should be no different. I use the CH Products Fighterstick USB and Pro throttles USB and have no frame rate problems.

I don't think you are wasting a munition by using a CBU-87 on a troop target. War isn't always about destroying armor. Remember our guys get penned down by troops as well as by the hard targets so anytime you can decimate a large group of infantry by using a bomb then I would use it.

Just wanted to say I'm having lots of fun with trying to kill the ships in Dragons Weapons training mission. They are very good at not only shooting me down but also my AGM-65Ds. Been trying new tactics and have not found anything that works yet. I just have to find their vulnerability. Just saying I'm having a good time with this. :pilotfly:

Thanks guys for the info I will try the TMS up short solution. It makes since to me that you should be able to lock the Mav without moving the slew around. Thanks again.
