  1. Why doesn't ED fix these bugs when they update the sim? This reminds me of Flanker 2.0. When you updated it to 2.5 half the sim would go awol especially all the training missions. Not good.
  2. The throttle works in the su 25t but the trim pov hat doesn't and in the su 27 the throttle does not work at all, these are in the startup training missions of these ac. Also ,when I click the normal mission tab,the sim hangs forever until I have to close it down with Task Manager, the sim is installed on a superfast m.2 ssd stick drive. I have deleted conflicts in the control axis,I have unticked ffb which is supposed to fix axis problems,I have used the powershell cmd in windows 10 to clean and repair my install. The same problems remain, now ringing up for an appointment to the funny farm.
  3. The training missions are bugged anyway with controller issues.
  4. I have found out how to clean and repair my non steam install but it didn't appear to fix the problems. Must be a windows 10 thing. Clicking mission goes to the loading screen which hangs forever, not my m2 ssd drives fault. SU 27 ,no throttle control in the start up training mission and the su 25t has no trim controls in the start up training mission. Bugs galore. Falcon BMS ,a free mod, is stable as a rock. Would it better to revert to DCS World 1.2 or is this a Windows 10 thing with this sim?
  5. I haven't been able to get my throttle control to work in the su 27 on the start up training mission so I thought I would just start up a normal mission only to find when I click mission, the sim loads and loads and loads and nothing happens. I have this sim installed on a Samsung superfast m2 ssd drive so it can't be my drive. Another question. How do you repair a buggy install of DCS World as mine certainly is ,the trouble is I can't verify files as my install is a non Steam version. Starting to think now,I have some bad files in my DCS World folder.
  6. Throttle bug with the su 27 and trim control of the su 25t in the start up training missions of both these AC. Tried for hours to get them working. Might just try a normal mission and see if the throttle works for the su 27.
  7. The training missions seem to be bugged su25t ,no trim control and su27 no throttle control in both ac's start up missions. I double checked this. Loaded up the su25t start up and takeoff mission, full throttle control. I then loaded up the su27 startup mission,no throttle control. The su25t has no trim control either in the start up mission. I wonder if we can have a downloadable module of the training missions before DCS World got updated and the training missions became full of bugs.
  8. I get no throttle control with my CH hotas in the flaming cliffs 3,su 27 ,start up mission. Even the key commands do not work ,page up and page down. I have done all the tips I have seen on here, untick ffb, ticked synchronise cockpit to axis controls on mission startup in misc tab. The throttle will not budge ,I have checked the throttle is at the proper idle setting,my CH Fighterstick works no problem. When I select the axis tuning tab for the throttle axis, everything works fine,I can see movement from idle to after burner. Is this harking back to the days of Flanker 2.0 when updating the sim would render the training missions useless? The su25t trim control doesn't work either in the startup training mission of that ac but funnily, the throttle does. Have no answers.
  9. SAme. Viper's one works fine for me. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=61236
  10. What about the 4 clunks the Cougar stick produces when you move it into diagonals? The throttle with the crappy pot? For the money ,they are a piece of mutton really.
  11. The CH throttle doesn't lean on it's own weight though does it? It's more modelled on a space game throttle. You can take your hand off it and the thing stays at it's position. Wouldn't mind that. I can stiffen the Cougar throttle to do that but then it feels terrible to me. The best stick I had was a Microsoft Sidewinder ffb 2. Was buttery smooth. But it didn't like Xp back in the day and the FFB started going wonky. If Microsoft made a hotas modelled on that stick,it would send all the other companies into bankruptcy.:D Have 2 FFB settings-Jet,really stiff like a F16 stick and prop for everything else. I'm dreamin'
  12. I've dropped a 360 controller on the ground 60 times as I'm a klutz and not broken it once yet Thrustmaster Hotasses need kid gloves. Like walking around in an antique store with expensive glass goblets around you. One false elbow move and backside hanging out of your pants. Really for the price ,they should be bullet proof. I suppose they are the equivalent of the turntable in audio. Be very gentle. Would have loved to have seen the Cougar's or the Warthog's original plans because I reckon everything gets cheapened by the blokes in the board room meetings. "We can't use that! How can we make a return on our investment." I think most products start well then fall down at the boardroom meeting hehe. That's why everything looks great on the outside but is mutton on the inside. And I don't like the feel of the Cougar at all. The throttle is awful for an Expensive product. The only thing are the pots haven't broken down on mine otherwise I reckon the Saitek x-45 had a better throttle. I tore mine apart and did the foil mod but it still feels crap. Well mine feels silky but it registers weird in the Joystick Analyser.Jumps in percentages in some spots instead of going up and down in 1 percent increments.
  13. Too over the head for me but hey that's what it is,a study sim. I can't read manuals and my eyesight is geting worse so I'm outta luck with this sim. Unless someone trains me on teamspeak. I haven't done anything yet with this sim lol. Sit on the tarmac whistling and thinking what to do. Then Exit. I am a nice person just because I'm dumb at this, doesn't mean I'm not a nice person. That was for people who "gee this forum has much better people than others because they're more brainy and hardcore " and other assorted racist intellectual crap. Bloody Veruca Salts.
  14. LOL,if you say the truth, you get nothing done. I said the truth sobs.:joystick:
  15. My Cougar stick can't be removed because I glued it on because when I got mine all those years ago,the female connecter inside the base which conects the stick was loose. Then when tightening a screw for the usb cable connector after fixing it,that snapped off as well. LOL. In one night my Cougar was not as she was supposed to be but that's Thrustmaster for ya. Sheep on the outside, mutton inside LOL.
  16. Need to be Einstein to be in here. Otherwise FORGET IT. Profiles don't work. Sim is over my head. LOL. Owell another 28 bux wasted. Now I will get drunk. Back to Rise Of Flight hehe.
  17. Don't make me jealous. Might just order the Fighterstick and make it work with the Cougar crap. A stick that's around 130 that works outta the box without 500 dollar mods? Why was I so stupid? Because I am(slaps head).
  18. Took her out of the box-lovely. Felt the detents and sticky throttele-GEE NOT THAT GOOD. Plug it in-doesn't work, can't flash the firmware-YOU POS! After 4 years and a bit of repair work -not bad but by crikey the stick has no feel and the throttle feels like a 2 dollar job. My opinion-overrated but I keep perservering with it. I'm not getting mods that cost more than the bloody hotas does either-what a laugh! THEY SAW YOU COMIN' HAHAHAHAHA Was stuck between CH and Cougar and I lost the bet. P.S. anyone know how to do the foil throtle mod without losing a whole roll because the crap scrunches up and doesn't fit under the blastid plastic rings? Hmm swear words were invented for Cougar users. Need brick wall to bang head against and to knock some sense into me for buying my furry friend.
  19. HAHA sticky, you could've spent 500 fixing the Cougar or spend a couple of hundred getting the Warthog which in turn is in effect a fix for the Cougar. Good luck with the Wart. OK. Enough from me about this subject. Maybe I will be back when my acquired elite pedals are crapping out on me afte a week.
  20. Don't worry Slammin'. I'm exercising daily to get rid of Cougarhateis disease I got and it's working. Just to prove it I won some elite pedals on ebay in excellent condition. I will try to love my Cougar(pats stick).
  21. Actually the pots on the stick are very good. Mine are still solid. They are digital pots where the throttle has a standard garden variety pot. I think they used the digital pots for the much better resolution on the x and y axis. The throttle pot is another story. I'm just wondering if there is an aftermarket model I can get that would have more longeivity? P.S. I won some elite pedals so I'm sticking with the Cougar. Man,if I was gonna install a mod, the FSSB 2 mod would be the one for me because it doesn't seem that hard to install and it lasts for 100,000,000 cycles woah but the price, Aye karrooombah.
  22. It took me 4 hours one night trying to repair my Cougar throttle . Opened it and thing literally fell to pieces. Getting those circular rings to fit in their slots and the teeny weeny pot to fit all at the same time makes a game of Twister seem like child's play. I dip my hat to modders. LOL@ ordering Cubpilots throttle mod and then completely screwing it up(If I bought it.I opened mine up to look at the stock pot and see how cute a 20 cent pot looks). And I'm unco with stuff and getting old. Each minute I was looking at the window then at the Cougar at an increasing rate. P.S I just won a bid on elite pedals. Odear, what have I done? I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Don't worry CH Products. I'm saving up for you. All the others are the life of the party but you are sitting there in the corner not getting attention. But I know if I took you home ,you would blow me away. The other bimbo blondes are not good in bed.
  23. What do you mean Viper? I own a Cougar but can't afford to fix it. I put everything om it and it failed me. Stock Cougar-rubbish. I'm not a hater. I own 2 Oriental cats and love 70's prog rock. It's products that you get that you think are amazing and when you get them they are substandard like the Cougar. I love a beer and some jazz or prog. I'm no hater only when you mention the C word. Apologies to the furry version which I love(ummm.errrrr.....the Wild cat I meant)
