  1. actually they posted on their facebook page an update. Here is the post : """ We wish all our customers and friends a belated merry christmas. We have been out with our families the past days and relaxed a little bit after intense flighttests and programming months, as we hope you all had the chance to do the same. As we hoped to be able to give the community a bigger update, but we have not met our internal goals on a few parts. Basically some part got a littlebit delayed do to a mistake I made in some physical calculations, we do hope to give you more insights towards march. What we can say though is that we have managed to have a very good and close contact to 2 american helicopter manufacturers. What that exactly means has to stay a little bit longer hidden from the community. But we are sure the waiting will be worth it and as far our plans stay on track now, we would not disappoint the community, we are more then sure about it. About the Gazelle. We plan some updates for it in 2019. When these will eventually make it into the sim is depending on some factors. The biggest factor is time. We have started to recode a new flightmodel with new technologies that Patrick worked on during the past 12 month, which we can hopefully show to the community in the coming months. Let me state one thing about the new stuff. Nothing gets easier but more realistic. We have worked on parts like LTE, Transient Torque and many other fields of helicopter flightmodels with the help of helicopter experts of the US Army and french army. We also have taken a look into the multicrew issues, but we came to the conclusion that we will wait for the F14 release in DCS, cause we hope that the recent dedicated server tests of ED will help to improve the network code and occuring desynch issues that our multicrew suffers of will be undergoing a final fix then. Do to the described factor of multicrew desynch we have decided for now to release all our future products as non multicrew capable for the sake of the product stability, which does not mean, that we will not take any look into this function at all for future products. We also have looked into little improvements of the Gazelle which should all be happening in 2019. Other then the above mentioned, we will maintain to work on helicopters, cause as far we have realised, by talking to software developers of the military too, that there are not many companies working in the field of helicopters and many do not take the chellange to code such a vivid flightmodel that has so many aspects. We hope we have not disappointed any customers to not show new work in progress. The wait will be worth it, promised, but we have to wait ourselfs for another milestone to happen until we can make any puplic announcements about our new planned productline. We wish you a nice and peaceful transition to the year 2019. Ohh and our application desks for programmers and 3d is still open, so who ever thought about applying, do not hesitate, Your Polychop Simulation Team Patrick/Sven/Jeff/Josh/Alex """ Things seems to advance a bit but no real announcement (and it is understandable even if I want to know ^^). However no news about an Airbus helicopter in this post :/
  2. Oh that's some good news ! This kind of stuff is quite slow but if the process is moving along it is great already. Thx ;)
  3. yeah I know about this (which is why I asked for any fresh news :P ) So no news about the Airbus Chopper at all since 2017... Well I'm now returning hibernate in my cave, waiting for some news  (hopefully soon even if i know that it is a slow process) Thanks for your answer !
  4. So, is there any fresh news ? NB : sorry but i'm so hyped for this 3rd choppa !
  5. C'est mal de se moquer du niveau d'anglais des FR !
  6. ok then, I wasn't sure if it was real or not as I said. I was hopping so hard that the Kiowa was going in test so then Polychop could focus on the 3rd helicopter from Airbus (and maybe one used by the french army !) NB : Nice X-wing !
  7. I saw the same thing. However, someone posted a screenshot on which we can see that Sanbato and an other guy are playing on a private server apparently with an OH-58D Kiowa module made by Polychop. I don't know if this picture is a fake or not but I believe that it is true (nobody claimed that it is a fake and it looks quite legit for me so...) Butyeah nothing official about a possible Kiowa for DCS made by Polychop. What we know so far is that Polychop is doing an OH-58D and that ED seems to want this chopper in the game (made by Poly or an other 3rd party according to "latest" news). We can only speculate but maybe that Polychop finally obtained the licence from ED to bring the Kiowa in DCS. Anyway, I'm sure that the Kiowa made by Poly will be for another sim like X-plane or Prepare3d should ED refuse to give the licence
  8. Yes, the kiowa is their 2nd product after the gazelle. According to the latest news on their FB page, the 3D model for interior and exterior is completed (or almost). The next steps should be : the FM, damage state, texturing and certainly a lot of other things to do  Moreover, it was said a long time ago in a galaxy far far away that their next chopper (the 3rd one), could be an Airbus helicopter. Nothing sure tho, they were dealing with Airbus to obtain the licence for one chopper but I haven't heard any fresh news about this so wait and see
  9. "So is this some real stuff or what? " At the moment we don't know much. Nothing official have been stated about that. All we know so far is that Polychop is currently working on an OH-58D Kiowa. It wasn't sure if it was for DCS or another simulator like X-plane for instance. Polychop seems to have no license from ED for this module (AFAIK) but then comes this screenshot... If it is not a fake screenshot, then that can means 2 things : - ED finally gave the license to Polychop for this module (meaning that the other thrid dev studio working on the kiowa cancelled their project ?) - OR, Polychop wanted to test their new product in DCS in order to show to ED that their product is up to DCS standard (and maybe almost ready for sell ?). So wait and see I guess...
  10. I don't think so because as I understand it, it is just a reskin of an existing helicopter (the huey in this case), with some modification allowing more loadouts an oh-58d appearence. So you just need to download the mod and own a huey basicaly In this screenshot, it is clearly (for me) a new module which is requiered
  11. nice to see that they are going into testing phase (and that the oh58 is for DCS) ! I can't wait to see their next chopper
  12. Sure but those 32 pages are just speculation and some of the posts are rather wishes than "analysis" (kind of)... Moreover, we have not 1 but 2 samples : The gazelle and the Kiowa which are both light attack helicopters. I agree, it's not quite accurate but we may have a pattern. That's why I suggest that the next chopper might be a light attack helo too but I can be totally wrong (and personnally I hope that I'm wrong :) ). In their "whishlist" poll on FB there were not those choppers. The only Airbus helo was the Tiger so we might actually have a completely different kind of aircraft. In the end, we just have to wait and hope that Airbus will allow them to work on the next chopper, when the Kiowa is finished. Only at that time we will be fixed on the model choosen.
  13. Based on the fact that Polychop is (always?) making light attack/recon helo with the gazelle and the kiowa + the 3rd helo being currently under production by Airbus, we can suppose that their next product could be a small attack helo as well, should they have the license to do so. With that in mind, I see some possibilities being : - EC645/H145M (also known as UH-72 Lakota in the US army) - AS550 fennec There are also the EC120 but no very used in military and the EC135 but it seems that there are no weapons for it (If I'm not wrong for both assumptions...) So yeah, I would not bet on these. However, I would love to see something heavier like a puma/caracal or nh90 tho  :
  14. I decided to remake the campaign but I'm stuck at mission 6 "patrols". Marco's chopper is always crashing into trees near waypoint 3 for no reasons... I will try to tweak the mission to do it. I will tell you if I suceed mission 8 after :) EDIT : no problem at all with mission 8. I was able to find quite easily the cars on the road. Side gunners wont fire tho. When you arrive to checkpoint 5, look at the bridge. There is one car with like 3 ennemies in a clear area. Rekt them and continue to make your turn. Then, take some altitute and follow the road. It go throught some trees but the ennemy cars are just after the bridge so fire everything if you want on that road after the bridge. Then you just have to land, pick up Carlos and RTB The only problem with the campaign in 2.5 is about AI flying too low and too fast (I'm struggling to catch up within EGT limit), so I changed a bit the AI altitude and speed
  15. it's a shame because the project was very interesting and seemed to have a good start with solid foundations (base on the different videos available)
