  1. Oooooohh...yes, THAT video. It was created by BSR.Locsta, one of the top movie makers IMO. I had that in my old LOMAC video collection, but lost it in a HD crash. It definitely was an original video, wouldn't mind watching it again!
  2. eesh..that is quite a jump indeed! A GF3! I always assumed you were at least in the ATI9800 crowd. ;) 8X AA huh? Seems a bit high, I havent tried it yet, but I think that would cause a tad of a slowdown for me. 4XAA gets rid of all of the noticable jaggies for me. I've never ran any of those FPS mods, LOMAC is surprisingly FPS friendly for what it is.
  3. I don't like the look of the canopy without scatches. Everytime I look into the sunset from within, and see the canopy glinting in the light with the scratches here and there, I can't help but awe at Lockon's beauty. I never had a problem with frames within the cockpit anyway.
  4. Thing is, Su-33's and Su-27's can't do these loops, only the Su-37 and Su-30MKI with the help of thrust vectoring..
  5. ..of what video? Could you perhaps be a bit more descriptive..
  6. Glad to hear you got those type of results! What are your specs and what did you previously upgrade from? You should be able to put shadows to full. I have a 6800GT 256MB and am running your exact settings, but with the addition of Shadows on full, a resolution of 1280x1024, and 4xAA and 4xAF.

  8. Very low indeed, there was even a thread on that picture here awhile ago, regarding whether it was real or not. Definitely is real, and are many other angled shots of the same plane. Anyway, I've seen lower. ;)
  9. MY GOD THIS IS BY FAR YOUR BEST WORK EVER! That is some of the BEST weathering I've ever seen! It's so realistic and natural, your skin makes it seem almost like I'm looking at a brand new Flanker model! The detail is amazing! Keep us updated with a link when ready!
  10. WOW! A Su-30MKI! That was unexpected...but I couldn't be happier! What aircraft model do you plan to replace, I assume the default AI SU-30. Could you perhaps post a few more screenies of the model? Any shots of this model would win my heart over!
  11. Absolutely fantastic! Great music, fantastic views and angles, and a nice selection of scenes that showcased the new models and effects we want to see! However, I DO wish that they didnt enable that black and white filter for the most of the movie. I mean WHY!? Who wouldn't want to see all that eye candy in COLOR!?
  12. What's the point of having a SU-30MKI model when none of its thrust vectoring capabilities could be modeled ingame? We already have the Su-30, a SU-30MKI would be too much work for just asthetics. Not that I wouldnt want a new SU-30MKI model, the SU-30MKI IS my favored fighter aside from the SuperHornet..
  13. You mean by viewing an AI aircraft and just hitting Alt-J, or editing the files to make a non-flyable such as the Hornet flyable.
  14. So the AI will subsequently acquire the damage model we're all using right now with the original 8 flyables? Even that seems too good to be true. It makes me wonder how you could slap on the SFM we use now, onto the Extremely-Simplified Flight Dynamics they use now, without having to rewrite their entire AI coding? How will they be able to respond and react to the actual damage modeling that affects the way the plane handles now? This seems like a major task which would take much time, time the Dev crew doesn't seem to have.
  15. Yes, the AI flies using a very simplified flight model, with variations in performance and numbers here and there from plane to plane. When the model shows damage, with pieces missing from the wing, tail, and other important components, the AI still can handle the aircraft rock steady as if they were not affected. As Starlight mentioned above, one of the most blatant ways to see this for yourself is to hit Alt-J to switch out of your aircraft and let the AI take over when your plane is badly crippled and you yourself's having trouble keepin it steady. Once the AI takes over, they will fly it just like it was unscathetd.
  16. YES! Can't download there, someone upload it! I know for sure you Wolf would be glad to mirror it at his site. http://www.lockonskins.co.uk/index.php?page=news Submit it here as well. http://www.lockonfiles.com/index.php

    USN Su-33 Camo

That is dead sexy. Gives it that Tomcat workhorse feel IMO.
  18. I don't quite understand. So when flying Fast Battle missions, they start off at 3x time mode? Just hit Shift-A and it should reset it..
  19. Never bothered noticing, but the self-shadowing indeed looks improved as well! It may be just the official-screen-taker's uber rig, but they do look pretty smooth!

    USN Su-33 Camo

Beautiful weathering and work so far, keep us informed.
  21. How can you possibly infer the amount of flares the Flanker has from that picture? If you didn't notice, there are several aircraft, and they all are releasing flares in unison.
  22. Any good!? It looks fantastic! Love camo schemes on the Flanker! One thing I don't quite like however is the engine exhaust textures. A bit more of a weathered, dull, and detailed effect would be nice. More screenies would be nice as well!
  23. Really nice, definitely original! I've never seen anyone set up a full base like this to attack, look's great! Keep up these missions, I like the way you plan everything out, and include immersion through other AI and objects, really adds to the feeling of not being the only one out there.
  24. Oh my.. That looks brilliant! The first looks great, love the weathering and detailing! Looking to see more!
