  1. Bravo! An absolutely Excellent skin! Loving the decals! Next, could you do some more agressor JASDF skins in the vibrant colors, such as the blue or green splinter and such? Flankers are blessed with such brilliaint skins by default, but seeing that on eagles are rare. Thanks!
  2. If the trees were solid objects, flying lowlevel would be alot more difficult, realistic, and fun. We could also actually use the trees as cover, and not feel like we were cheating. I wan't the challenge of having to mantain my clearance between a swath of trees around me as I attempt to lock up a tank in my TV through the breaks in the branches. Hiding in the trees for cover would introduce a whole new aspect to gameplay as well. I like the idea of hiding menacingly behind foilage, popping up, launching off a shot, and dropping back down.
  3. You must be flying V1.02 then. In V1.02, once you plug in, Altitude and Speed hold automatically engage, so you'll stay plugged into the boom. Once you disconnect, Speed hold is turned off, but altitude hold stays on, so if you push or pull on the stick, the plane responds in the opposite direction as it fights to stay at level. Turn it off by H, and hit Cntrl-T to reset all trim.
  4. Make sure the pylon you're loading it on allows a fueltank to be loaded on it, and that it is not conflicting with any other weapon on nearby pylons.
  5. It can be set? I had no idea! So if set to "ON", we will actually expload into a fireball if we fly right into a tree? I would love to see that. And about the damage model. I do remember seeing you post a screenshot of a the burnt remains of the tree model. Perhaps we could use that?
  6. That was ABSOLUTELY great! I must say, that was the ideal action flick I look for when I sit down and just want to watch something to get me in the mood for LOMAC. You portrayed the SU-33 very well my friend, showing off its A2A in addition to its A2G capabilities to the fullest. The sequences and angles are very nicely done. Great job on the editing, and the camera shake at different moments is very realistic. My only gripe, is that there are no ingame sounds, or dubbed in sounds at all. With sounds like the jet and missle or explosion effects, the movie would be much more immersive. For example, when the AWACS and F-15 passes by and the camera shakes, I thought to myself, that scene really could have used a "whoooosh". ;) Great work!
  7. They didn't remove anything. They just replaced the skin with a higher resolution skin, If I infer correctly. What is the new resolution of the tree skin compared to the old? And yes, we all want to know if the trees will stay without collision meshes, or if they will damage our models!

  9. Amazing! Those are areas of work I was interested in seeing. For some reason I love seeing how different control surfaces connect and function on real aircraft, and seeing the joints and such on this Flanker makes it all the better! I see you now have yourself set up at Imageshack; now you don't have any restrictions for posting random screenies. ;)

  14. I just can't get ANY of these vides working! When I download them, they download as a few hunred Kilobyte wmv files, and when I open them, windows media says they are an unknown or incorrect format or filetype.
  15. Fantastic work there! Detail is always better! Just FYI though, someone actually redid the entire fuel tank model, as you could tell from your shots, the original model has very low pollies, and isn't completely rounded. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=18880 Anyway, that Mig skin is beautiful! I remember seeing shots of the real thing, and wanting it to be skinned in LOMAC.
  16. What exactly is wrong with the AIM-9 and other missle textures? If I understand correctly, they are textured in some format or way that prevents shadows from being rendered on them on ATI cards only? The only way of fixing the textures is re-doing the entire model from scratch? The current AIM9 model looks fabulous, seems like a waste of man-hours to redo a detailed missle for that when other low quality ones could be done.

  18. Sorry, but could you evaluate on that a bit more? I mean, IIRC, those aren't part of LOMAC's default Su33 ordinance capabilities, or at least for players. Are the Kh-29L's similar to Mavericks, for anti-armor medium range targets? How do you launch it if you can't acquire the target on the MFD; I assume it uses a TV image. Apologies for the barrage of questions.

  20. hmm..that shouldn't happen. I can easily lock and fire mav's on enemy helos as well, but always with positive results. If the Mav impacts, it registers as a kill with the explosion, and if there is none, it was a clear miss.

  23. What!? I didn't like the look of the pure white square backround, so I added that effect and was very pleased!
