  1. Thank-you Glowing Amraam, Happy Holidays!

  3. I wanted to try my hand at this, and was hoping someone could help or direct me to a link that will help in inserting a 3DStudio Max model into LockOn:FC. Example: Lets say I model up a new plane that currently is not in lockon FC, and I do it in 3d Studio Max. What do I have to do to put it in place of the F15 or SU-27 or 33? Edit: Nevermind; I was helped already and it was easier than I could have imagined to insert overtop and existing lom.
  4. Thanks guys, I will give this a try tonight. Edit: Hajduk it worked great! Thanks for the link tip!
  5. I just noticed today that my TrackIR has a smaller FOV, than if I do not plug it in and allow LockOn to set the FOV. Have any of you noticed this? I am currently looking for the method to increase the FOV to the default value that LockOn uses (wider than TrackIR's default). The only way I can currently see to set it the same as default is to center myself, then lean forward to zoom-in to where the top of my screen just touches the notch edges of the F15 with the canopy up, and then clicking the centering button again. This way when I lean back into my flight position, the FOV is the same. If anyone already knows how to fix this so that when I hit the center button with the trackir engaged that my FOV is out wider like the default value image shows, please post it for me here. Thanks No TrackIR default FOV image: With TrackIR default FOV image:
  6. Mine should arrive soon. Cant wait to try it out.
  7. I found that to uninstall the VFAT 2006 mod I had to hit uninstall about 4 times, one right after the other. Then it would show everything uninstalled. Hope it helps.
  8. Thanks Chrissi for everything you and everyone involved with the VFAT organization has done in creating and structuring the VFAT. As a spectator I was delighted by the entire event. Thanks for two days of excitement, allowing us to observe many teams and their formation routines.
  9. Fantastic organization for VFAT and its' organizers, great job to you all and thank-you for a great show! Respect to everyone that flew and represented their teams, you all did a very nice demonstration. All of the hours of practice paid off with great dividends. And as others have said, that "special show" with the White Ravens and Virtual Swifts was an eye opener with 9 planes; and that WR show where the two inverted planes doing the roll; as well as the slow roll manuever between the tail...absolutely fantastic and innovative. I also was delighted with the Corkscrew by the IAT, as I had not seen that before. To the Virtual Snowbirds, Virtual Thunderbirds, White Ravens, Reaper, Virtual Swifts, Illusion Aerobatic Team, Mohamed, The First Heavens Squadron and Patrouille Suisse Virtuelle all of you had great shows, and fighting and overcoming the occasional lag issues to make VFAT a wonderful thing. Thank-you for all of your hard work, time and practice. The wife and I truly enjoyed watching the Virtual Thunderbirds perform, Great show VTB's. I look forward to watching VFAT2007 already.
  10. Very nice touched up pictures there SVK_Fox! Thanks for sharing.
  11. Great , looking forward to watching the aerobatic teams fly. I saw the White Ravens rehearsal last Saturday, and it was impressive! Good job WR's!
  12. SuperKungFu, Try this suggestion. 1st, make sure you are on AC powerr. Then Go into your laptops power settings, and change it from "Portable Device" settings to "Always On". Then try lockOn to see if it works. If it still has small hiccups, try also this with the above left as just set. Go into your Bios, and look for a term: " Long Battery Mode" or something along those lines. Turn this OFF. Reboot and then try LockOn.
  13. SuperKungFu, Turn on your FPS meter built into LockOn ( Ctrl-Backspace) and see if your FPS jump around drastically from high positive values to negative values (back and forth constantly). With no other program running in the background, the Virtual memory set at a hard 4096 and graphic settings at low to medium, this one jumps from 350 FPS down to -40 FPS. And has a constant "hiccup" as it plays a track back, or even worse as I fly in it. I noticed it seems to be tapping the hard drive, but I don't know why.
  14. Is there a tool for Intel Core 2 Duos, like the one for AMDs? If so, please post a link as I have not seen one, and continue to lool. Thank-you. EDIT: Just found this out: "Core 2 Duo has a shared cache and a uniform memory system, so processor affinity isn't going to make a lick of difference."
  15. I have such a program for one of my AMD Dual Core 5000 systems, that also runs LockOn. Are you saying that my problem may be that the affinity needs to be set before I start LockOn for it to work correctly? (Since I was doing it manually to test it)
  16. I am currently trying out an Alienware M5550 Laptop that has an Intel Core 2 Duo T7600 2.33GHz cpu (4Mb cache and 677MHz FSB), with 2Gb of DDR2 ram, and a 256 Mb Geforce Go 7600 video card in it. Loaded LockOn and F.Cliffs and also loaded the no canopy scratches mod. Start up LockOn and the game has continuous micro-pauses while playing. Regardless if I have the graphics set on high, or as they are now, all on Medium or Low with most things turned off. The micro-pauses are still there. I also noticed when I turn on the FPS display ( Ctrl-Backspace ) that the FPS continuously change. Example of what I see is: From around 26 fps to then 113 fps, then quickly changes to -364 fps, then 68 fps, etc etc. It just keeps going up and down, from positive to negative values. I have confirmed that there is nothing running in the background as Alienware does not load "bloat" software. I then tried running LockOn on one then the other CPU by setting the affinity. I did this by starting lockon, then alt-tab out to desktop, then a ctrl-alt-del to task manager and set the affinity for the lockon.exe to one cpu at a time. Then closed this and alt-tabbed back into the game. Still got the same micro-pauses. I have not purchased this laptop as it is a review item supplied to me. But if anyone that has the new dual core 2 cpus can elaborate on how to get LockOn working correctly with the Intel CPU, please let me know. Also: There are no other programs loaded , no Anti-Virus, etc, since this is a brand new system. Just XP, modman, Loman and LockOn. I know something must be wrong with this, since I have another laptop (Sager 8790) that has 2Gb of ram, an Intel 3.4 Ghz CPU w/ HT and a 9700 w 256 mb of ram on it, and it runs LockOn great, averaging about 47 fps with more things turned up and on than the new Alienware laptop. Im sure I could get even more FPS on the Sager if I turned everything down or off, but then it would not look nice.
  17. Excellent work Laud! It was very smooth on my end over here in the USA and a great taste of whats to come. I'm looking forward to next weeks show. Best Regards
  18. Hope you get the servers graphic card problems worked out. Good luck.
  19. JuryMan03, Thanks for the link. I'm gonna try it out as I have a few systems here with LockOn installed. Thank-you
  20. Thanks for your responses, being relatively new to Lomac I have been trying to learn the ins and outs.
  21. Example: I have a track I recorded with some friends flying together with me. Is it possible to fly this track in either my jet or a new jet, just so I can refly it with their planes in it?
  22. Sweet Picture, thanks for sharing.
  23. Alienware m9700 w dual Nvidia 7900's in SLI, 2Gb of ram and AMD Turion 64 CPU, currently. LockOn runs great getting around 75 fps. Later this month I am recieving a Dual Core 2 laptop with SLI 7950's from Killer Notebooks.com, I 'll let you know how that goes.
  24. I have Adobe Photoshop CS2 installed and have had 0 problems with my AMD Dual Core cpu. I realize it is not Premier but Adobe products are similiar I believe.
