Newbie DCS A-10 pilot here. A couple of quick questions: 1: I keep finding it a struggle to keep my nose level, the power seems immense! The hog keeps wanting to rise above 20 degrees inclination, any ideas? 2: Without pedals which keys do you find most comfortable on the Hotas to use as rudders? Thanks in advance

I was wondering what multiplayer options are currently available in Warthog beta 3? Also is there any co-op? Thanks in advance

Cougar Owner asks: Do I REALLY need Warthog?
twobells replied to twobells's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
So you're saying the build quality is better/tactile control better or? Also, isn't the Warthog dedicated to one aircraft type? -
Hey all Ok, I have put up my unused Cougar (had RSI at the time) up on Ebay but wonder do I REALLY need the warthog version? I'd like to ask Cougar/Warthog owners what is your take? Thanks in advance TB http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150522512042&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_926wt_1139

Juddering zoom with x-52 Axis
twobells replied to McVittees's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It's not limited to the Saitek, the Cougar [i know unbelievable] has the same issue. It may be connected to the middle mouse wheel is by default set to zoom, perhaps deleting that setting my resolve the issue? tb -
Confused, my downloaded package has two .pdf files associated with the KA-50, the GUI manual and the main dcs flight manual. It seems that MadDogMQ's 'UK' manual may be different to the standard 'English' manual as my dcs flight manual doesn't contain the page 'DCS Manual' with a KA-50 on a khaki-brown backdrop... Has there been a change between the downloadable english manual and the 'UK retail manual? I did ask MadDogMQ about this and he states that he had printed the 'flight manual' NOT the gui manual. You can't add in that page either as they are different sizes, see my confusion...? tb

Russian cockpit images used in English printed manual
twobells replied to MadTommy's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Printed Manual: The facts? Ok, I have to say how unhappy I am that the manual is NOT in colour, many of us would have paid the extra but there you go.... Anyway, now I have to consider my options. I could go the way of Mad Dog Mq's superb example: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=40031 or stick to the forthcoming manual for £20. Now I have heard that the new manual contains at least five new chapters, is this true and if so what does it cover? Also, LionPride & Mad Dog McQ don't state which .pdf they use, is it the new UK version? If so is it available to us all by way of a download? If not please describe which version you used in print production, the paper quality and thickness. Forgive me if these questions have been answered elsewhere, I did search but they came up empty. Best wishes in advance tb -

twobells replied to GuntiNDDS's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Thats a co-incidence, we have 150 of these puppies set up in tandem writing new Shakespeare sonnets. tb -

I was SO blown away by the producers notes and various Youtube videos that I invested in the TrackIR 4 PRO system. However, whereby prior to installing TrackIR there is no jerkiness in cockpit view as soon as I turn on TrackIR the X axis is jerky, if anyone has a 'fix' for this I'd really appreciate it. I have positioned the system as well as I can but am unsure how to move forward combating this issue. I RTEALLY want to get on into the meat of the sim and this is holding me back.... Also, I am unsure which is the best forum to post this in so I will cc to Natural Point forum as well. many thanks in advance twobells update: thanks to TrackIR subscirbers I was able to fix the problem, it was too mcuh light filtering: http://forum.naturalpoint.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=33295#Post33295

I didn't have any 'jerk's' running DCS: Black Shark maxxed out till I bought TrackIR as soon as I installed it the frame rate was all jerky when looking around. I am going to post on the Natural Point forum and see if there is a way to deal with this. best wishes tb

My bud and I are from UK and we use SKYPE and Ventrilo if you want to fly some missions with us we are up for it. Be warned though we only just got the sim and are learning to land without too much fuss atm! Pm TwoBells and/or Mithrandra.

Heya Buddy Don't forget to read up on the Kitty's [cougar hotas] speed break and see if they have resolved it. I never adjusted mine but while it is a little 'sticky' it works fine. tb

Shame we have to pay £$20 for it, but it'll be great to place it together with my Lomac hard cover manual. Thanks for the heads up old chap.

Hey All I recently purchased GOLD and none of my options holds. For example I WANT labels initially to learn to id ground targets and generally get a feel for SA however when I first entered options it was set to 'CUSTOM', I left it totally alone as I saw 'labels' was on. To my surprise when I found the labels were not visible in game I returned to options to discover they had been turned off with many other options now off! I didn't save off the settings as I didn't change anything. After reading posts about options I tried SHIFT F10 and that didn't work either :-( My setup: AMD FX-60 2gb twinned ram Gainward Geforce 6800 Ultra Cougar 'kitty' HOTAS [12075] Many thanks in advance Flight Sergent 'TwoBells'
