Inside view of TM HOTAS Warthog
Sticky replied to Frazer's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Bucic I agree with you on the cougar, 100%, I swore never to buy anything from TM again after that, but the Warthog isnt like that. There is no sticktion in my copy, maybe I dont feel it cos I dont fly formation lead (but I have really tried looking for this sticktion and bumps), or maybe Frazer has had bad luck and got one who shouldnt have been sent out, in that case he should send it back and get another one IMO. But I said it before, Cougar was one of the worst purchases I ever made and Warthog is one of the best*. Just trying to say the Warthog is really good, and shouldnt be affected by the negative feeling towards Cougar that many have. We should judge the Warthog for its own faults and strong points, and not let the judgement be affected by Cougar. *unless some serious problems with mine appear in the future Edit: for spelling sticktion wrong  -
No. No.

Wags posted today in this thread (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=63232 page 3 I think) about something else, but confirming that the next update will be a beta update and not RC. That gives almost no time left after that. Practically a confirmation what most of us here already believe.

Neverending contest (military aviation knowledge)
Sticky replied to Kusch's topic in Military and Aviation
I think he dropped it. Someone should pick it up :) -
Yes, it would be interesting to know. But we are just speculating here, they havent said yet its pushed back, the last word is still 2010. Perhaps one of the yes votes belongs to Matt and it will be released next week :music_whistling::pilotfly:

I like this idea :)
-
Yeah you need "just" all that + MacGyver and you are set for a release just a couple of weeks after :megalol: I dont think we will see the next DCS until two years, but thats just my guess, based on following the development of gaming and sim software for many years.

Very good point!

Poll, did you like your stock TM Cougar? Yes or No
Sticky replied to Sticky's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Mower get a second job for a month and buy the TM Warthog :) -
Release in 2010. Just curious of what others think and expect. I dont think they will make it. But Im ok with it, I have the beta already so its no problem. I prefer to have a more polished product even if that means its a little late. I hope they put much focus in fixing the CTDs, I still have way too much CTDs. I hope the next beta will be more stable.. But I dont expect them to make the 2010 release.

Warthoggers: Updated firmware released
Sticky replied to topdog's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
IIRC there is a reset for the throttle, holding a button down for a few seconds, but I dont remember which button (ap or lgwarn?), anyway it was on the throttle and not the stick, but maybe there is something like that on the stick aswell? If there is you could try that, but I dont know which button... if any. -
Warthoggers: Updated firmware released
Sticky replied to topdog's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
:music_whistling:Russian roulette, first victim. Round two begins, who is next?:helpsmilie: Try the obvious stuff, like rebooting, unplugg/plugging it back in, trying the software again. Otherwise idk, contact TM? It sounds really bad, since you probably did the update to prevent this from happening, and the update itself caused it. -

WARNING - TM WH Modders
Sticky replied to Flamin_Squirrel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Glad to hear you fixed it!!! -
I agree with you yskonom about search, but the opinion of someone who has or had both is worth more then just comparing opinions with strong and not so strong points from google/forum searches. There is however atleast 2 posts already from owners having both (roguerunner made a post, and someone else). IDK if they show up on search though. IIRC roguerunner preferred the X65 and the other dude preferred the warthog. That makes 1-1. With cetliccoho 1-2 Edit: Not sure anymore about the score :) roguerunner has changed his mind and prefers WH?
-
I think his question is clear, he wants the opinion of those who have both.
-
And about your #1, I DID move on, and bought the warthog, but that doesnt make the stock cougar suck less.
-
159th Viper when you call it a "superior product" you are not really helping your #2 I usually agree with your posts, but not this one.

Thanks JAG
