  1. I think your opinion about what he did is right, but your opinion about what he did applies to yourself aswell, the angry stuff in that post you linked for me to read can be said about you aswell. And dont make this about me, I didnt post any videos of people dying. I just pointed you to the FACT that you did the same thing. And then you told me to stfu ;)
  2. Sorry Friend, you both are wrong to post videos of humans dying as your "best" videos. Show some respect for human life. But you also get very angry because someone else did it, but its ok for you to do it? How do you explain that? And then you tell me to stfu? I agree with you it was very bad taste to post those vids of friendly fire, but you have no right to complain StrongHarm, since you also posted videos of people getting killed.
  3. Sorry but you posted the first links with people dying as "best" videos. Im not picking sides here, just making you see that you did the same thing :music_whistling:
  4. Diveplane I like your external sounds, but I hope there will be an option to only install your external sounds, since from what I hear in that youtube video I will like EDs internal sounds better then yours. I hope they are seperate files. Can you answer if they are separate files? Thx
  5. If you still shouldnt like how it sounds, there were mods to change the gun sounds in DCS:BS so im sure there will be for DCS:WH, just wait until they make those mods and pick the one you like :D Or perhaps ED will change it themselves, I dont care, but I am sure there will be possibilities to make it sound just the way you want so it doesnt matter :)
  6. No need to worry, I tried it myself today, firing from F2 view, and it doesnt sound like that, doesnt sound like the first youtube link, something must have happened, compression or something, but it doesnt have that C64 feeling you get when listening to that youtube clip. Yes it doesnt sound as cool as the other two links, but when shooting from inside the cockpit it seems just perfect IMO
  7. Just wait until you learn how to use JTAC and SADL, combined with the TGP you will never use labels again :D:thumbup: just pick the targets from your TAD and slave the TGP to them
  8. Nobody said anything because we didnt think about it: 1 inside the cockpit it sounds good. 2 there is so much other cool stuff that goes on, no time to think about the external gun sound.
  9. Since you will be inside the cockpit when you pull the trigger, and the inside sound is good, I dont think this is a problem. Maybe they can still change the outside sounds, it would be cool for tracks, movies etc, but not a big thing IMO since ill be in the cockpit ;)
  10. I dont know what DMPI is (yet), but I use the same method as Viper, for example with four targets, just use the TGP to set a mark point at each target (short TMS right) then switch the steer point dial to Mark, then long TMS back and now when you use the UFC rocker it goes through all targets, showing them automatically even on the TGP. So now just select the GBUs and go, after each release change mark point with the UFC rocker or hotas DMS if HUD is SOI. 4 releases, sometimes just 3 if im not fast enough :) But it works great!
  11. :megalol: Thanks, Ill be more careful where I park in the future :megalol: About the bombs, I DID jettison, in case anyone noticed :P but those on the racks close to the center didnt fall off anyway, must be a WIP bug. The engine was on fire at first but the fire extinguish discharge thingy worked
  12. Here is a landing with just one engine, it was rough so right gear took some beating aswell.
  13. Flying it seemed hard only at first, I have had it only a couple of days and it already feels like no problem in a combat situation, you dont have to pay much attention to flying anymore, you will get the feel of it fast I think.
  14. I have zoom set on my HOTAS, everyone should IMO.
  15. Cool, ill try that right away. So much cool new stuff to learn :D
  16. Definately not as good as BS, YET. It will most likely get much better at release.
  17. I have the same thing, could just be some WIP bug, I dont know, but if you zoom in or zoom out one step you get the map back.
  18. It only works on already existing symbols though, on the TAD I mean. You cant just point the cursor on the ground in the TAD and make that SPI (I think, I hope im not giving the wrong info here) you have to put the cursor on a symbol, like waypoint or red triangle, and hook it first with a short TMS fwd, then make SPI with long TMS fwd. For making some random point on the ground into SPI, use the TGP for that. GL
  19. Yes, should work, works everytime for me, you have TAD as SOI?
  20. For those of you who wish to try it yourself, there is a JTAC in the shooting range mission, I tried it yesterday and it works ( but I had to remove the wingman, and change my skin to the first skin to get rid of the low fps, ED probably knows about this bug? ) but you cant hear the guy, only read, but still everytning works, just read up on the TAD JTAC page in the manual so you know what to do, its actually very easy, just click wilco on the TAD and select the red triangle on the TAD as SPI :) This is a huge step into turning the labels off if you still have them on IMO No more wondering where the heck they are :)
  21. There is a good thread here somewhere, but what you need to do is after you set the TGP, you make the targetpoint into SPI(long TMS fwd), then slave all to SPI (china long fwd iirc) switch to mavs, make sure they are not in sensor mode (select them properly when HUD is SOI, or in DSMS) and now comes the tricky part, TMS fwd long, and then you need to be fast, before the mav seeker has time to drift away you press TMS fwd short. Voila.:joystick: Eeeeeeasy ;) I havent understood yet why you need to set SPI twice, but atleast it works :) A nice challenge that makes the mavs my favourite sofar :)
  22. I get the same results as you, and it makes it a little bit more exciting IMO ;) Thats why I like the LGbs and Mavs over the JDAMs, because the JDAMs are just no challenge at all :)
  23. YES!
  24. I usually hate betas so I had originally decided to wait, but I just couldnt resist :D Afterall, this is DCS:A10C :) So here are some of my impressions, based on unfinished beta WIP, with alot of stuff broken: Engine sounds are very good, I love the way the plane feels both on the ground and in the air, the FM is just fantastic. The feeling of flight is much better than in the Su25T, but I was never a big fan of the Su25T so I might be biased here, but to me this FM feels much much better. Its easier to fly then the Su25T, but still alot harder then I expected. On a scale 1-10 if the FCA10A is a 1 and the Su25T is a 10, then I would probably put the difficulty level of flying the A10C at 6. Very subjective and just my opinion. But like I said, even though it feels easier, it also feels much much better to fly than the Su25. Graphics are very similar to BS, but this is no suprise. Runway textures are much better, and makes taxiing and taking off so much more immersive. Bad performance (low fps), but its WIP and it will be fixed. Still even though its beta and has a long way to go I have better performance in this beta than I had in the Su25T. Not as good yet as in BS though. Having HDR off or on doesnt seem to do as much for fps as I had expected, so im keeping HDR on (GTX470). The small impact explosions of the bullets hitting the ground looks awesome. Fire and explosions doesnt seem to have changed very much from BS in this version. Smoke seemed very similar to BS but I could be wrong here. The cockpit looks fantastic, but you have already seen the screenshots and movies ;) About avionics, sensors and weapon systems... You WONT be disappointed. This will be the strongest point of this sim, even though everything else is great, this is what will make this sim stand out from everything else. Nothing will come close for a long time. Everything looks great, but alot of things are unfinished and im worried that the 2010 release will be pushed into 2011. but I dont really care cos I have the beta now:megalol: Nevada was a disappointment for me, but it also seems very very unfinished (alot of broken and missing stuff) so the final product might be much different. It looks great from high up, but at low altitide the terrain resolution just isnt what you would expect from a 2010 sim. Im not talking about the noise effect, that looks great, but the base terrain texture resolution just isnt high enough. But if you are a hardcore sim fan then probably graphics arent no1 and it will probably be no problem for most ppl, even if this is the final resolution. But for me personally it was a letdown, but like I said it felt very unfinished and hopefully will change. And like I said, looks great from medium and high altitude, so even if its not changed, there is no need to worry, at those altitudes it looks fantastic. But overall, even though its beta, its already a fantastic achievement and you WILL be pleased I think. But since so many things are broken, missing, unfinished I think that the 2010 release might be in danger, unless what we are getting is a MUCH older version than the more current ones. Anyway it doesnt matter, if you cant wait, buy it and play the beta :)
  25. What texture settigns are available in the beta? I know its WIP and also that it looks much better in motion, but do you think we will get a higher resolution at release? Anyone have any info on Nevada texture resolution beta vs planned?
