  1. A big YES! Everyone has one or two things about this stick they dont like, its not perfect, but its still the best.
  2. I also have alot of CTDs. 1/4 times I wont finish the mission because of a CTD. Some missions seem more stable than others. Some wont CTD at all, some every time. Offline.
  3. If it takes you five hours to make the connection that TMS forward could be the same as TMS up, then IMO this sim is not for you.. Especially since the three other TMS options make far less sense than up. The first thing I did when I wondered about TMS forward was to check in the options and then controls. Everything is there, just like it is with all the other sims you have flown with your saitek throttle quadrant, your CH flightstick and your rudder pedals. And it took me 0.05 second to think that maybe TMS forward is the same as TMS up, not five hours...
  4. I dont believe you, I cant believe that someone who owns " a saitek throttle quadrant (three levers plus 3 rocker switchers), and a CH products flightstick pro with 3 buttons, trigger, and a hat. I have saitek rudder pedals as well." didnt understand that you can put "TMS forward" as anything you wanted. And since I dont believe you didnt realise that then your post was a clear case of trolling IMO. Five hours to get what TMS forward is? Please.... I dont believe you!
  5. Glad to hear you solved your problem. And very good info to know if more people ever get the same problem.
  6. Its looking great Ricardo, cant wait :)
  7. I have over twentyfive hours flying time now with my warthog and I havent felt what you are feeling. Mostly combat missions, but formation flying also. No bumps here LOL. Not even when I try to do what you write. I am very happy with this stick. Are you sure its not just in your head because you are so used to a looser stick like the x52? That thing has almost no friction at all, so maybe you just arent used to that yet? Because im not feeling what you describe except perfectly normal and smooth friction. Perhaps going from a stick with almost no friction to one that has friction takes more time than you gave it. Anyway no bumps or stickiness in the stick here. Maybe you can take it back and get your money back if you hurry.
  8. Sorry for going off topic again, but is it possible to use TARGET to program functions to one button, hat or switch only and then use the rest of the buttons via the ingame options? I could do this with my other stick, and Im thinking it probably should work the same way with TARGET. Anyone knows this? That way I could map whatever I want to the mic switch with TARGET without having to make a whole new profile for the entire HOTAS. Sorry again for the OT.
  9. Thats good enough for me! With this I can double the number of commands I currently have mapped on the mic switch, I have 8 now with the pinky paddle button as modifier, with TARGET I could have 16 if I understood you correctly? If so, then thats awesome :) I will install it as soon as I feel I have time to map everything again, thats one advantage with the non-TARGET DCS pre made profile, you dont have to make it yourself. But I really would like to put more stuff on the mic switch, so I will definately use TARGET! One day :music_whistling: Soon :music_whistling:
  10. Yeah I tried to use it as zoom myself, but I prefer to keep my hands on the throttle as much as possible when I fly, and since I use zoom all the time I moved it to mic switch instead. This way I can zoom as much as I want without letting go of the throttle handles. But I really use zoom alot, so for most other people the throttle friction as zoom probably works perfectly.
  11. The ricochet is very nice, and it affects the gameplay too (if you want it to ofc), for example I was going to kill an APC but right behind it was a large building (looked just like a school or a hospital ;) ) and if I had pulled the trigger every ricocheting round would have gone right into the building. I try to immerse myself into the role, and try to fly the way I really would if I was there for real, so ofcourse I aborted the run, and came in from another angle, where there was nothing behind the apc :) Its the little details that help the immersion into this sim IMO, and in this sim there are ALOT!! :D
  12. But there is a throttle friction on the throttle base. So you have a real one but not where its supposed to be. And the fake one, positioned where the real one is on the real A10, can be used as anything you want.
  13. "solenoid-held spring-loaded" what does this mean?
  14. This was holding me back to, but its not like that, its not like the cougar at all and the force is perfect, I hated the cougar but I love this one. So if you are waiting because of the Cougar, and think this is like the cougar, it isnt! If you put this high on a table, then I dont know, maybe you will get tired eventually, but I have been using it close to my knees and can go hours without feeling anything. The force is just right and it helps you aim and "balance" the pipper in the right place. Adjustments are easy and feel very natural.
  15. Good review! I think your only gripe, with the flaps, I think they made it that way so you could use it with you pinky finger if you wanted to, thats why they made it so it takes less force, the same with the pinky switch in the left throttle itself and the pinky buttons on the stick, they all take less force to use, not like the other ones, and I dont think its a coincidence, its on purpose. So I think its good, a good decision, if thats really the reason.
  16. LOL I didnt know the slew control could also be pushed as a button. Tried it now and yes it does click! An extra button, THANKS!!! :megalol:
  17. Ok, I havent installed TARGET yet since it already does everything I want it to do in DCS:A10C with just the ingame options. If you still want to do it in TARGET Im sure it can be done but I dont know how, someone else will have to answer that.
  18. Ofcourse you can, why didnt you just look yourself in the options before asking? Go ingame, then Options - controls - axis commands - and then axis tune for hotas slew horizontal and vertical, I changed saturation Y from 15 to 30 in both horizontal and vertical. Try that, it should be much better
  19. And I cant believe I took the bait. I had a friend who liked these kind of questions, where there is something wrong with the way the question is asked. Did I tell you he was an idiot?
  20. This isnt possible, the condition cant be met, so the question is broken :P The conditions doesnt work, that is why the question might seem hard to answer. The plane will move anyway, and gain speed relative to the treadmill and once it has enough lift it will fly :P The specification is wrong, not possible, cant be kept, the plane will fly.
  21. There arent enough keys on a keyboard so they had no choice. I think Flaming Cliffs 2 would suit you and your son better. It has the A10A.
  22. Its very easy using the extra pinky paddle button as a modifier in DCS ingame, click modifiers in the lower left corner inside controls, then click add in the modifiers column, the click button 4 on your joystick. Done. Now when you assign a button on the stick or throttle in the "add assignment panel" window you can link it to a modifier first, like the one just created. This way you can put Z and X wherever you want. Its not called HOTAS for nothing ;)
  23. If its a helicopter next they should really fix the trees, make them collidable and so AI cant see and shoot through them. And then port the BS to this new tree world ;) Imagine BS with the new AI, HDR and obstructing trees! If this tree thing still is too hard to fix yet, then perhaps its not a helo next, but a fighter next.
