  1. +1 First there was DCS, then came a dedicated PC, TrackIR and HOTAS Warthog. What a evolution... Love this Sim!
  2. Good day everyone! Beyond the Fuel Qty indicator is the Fuel Selector Switch, which you can operate (standard mapping is Ctrl + D). It has the following working settings: FEED - INT WING - TANK1 - EXT WING - EXT CTR In the new Belsimtek manual is no explanation about the switch (page 44), so supposed with 3 external drop tanks the different settings mean: FEED - first the external tanks, then internal INT Wing - self explanatory TANK 1 - is this the internal tank in the fuselage? EXT WING - the two external drop tanks at the wing, whose amount is indicated with "LEFT/RIGHT" above? EXT CTR - the center external drop tank Then there is the setting BIT below FEED, is this the Fuel Quantity Indicator Test button? 1) Can please anyone confirm or explain my assumptions? 2) Is anybody using any other setting as FEED and if, in which way and for what purpose? Thank you in advance :)
  3. ILS Frequency When cycling in ILSN mode through the airports, is anywhere in this beautifull cockpit the ILS Frequency of the current selected airport displayed ? Perhaps somewhere around the HSI? I believe in A10C it was displayed in the right corner of the HUD. It would make the determination of the right airport a lot easier! Thanks in advance :)
  4. Good you brought it up, I am also very keen on the new 3d pit. Any news would be welcome.
  5. Good Day Gentleman, to - at last - show my good manners, I want to official say hello to the great community of DCS. I first posted on the bugs section several months ago with a technical issue and was quite astonished by the good support , not only from ED, but also from the community. I played and loved "Sims" all my life, with my best buddy. Back to Fighter Bomber on Amiga, Aces over Europe, F117 Nighthawk, Falcon 3.0, Gunship 2000 if you remember some of those. Came back to flying with IL2 - 1946, flew a lot for some time on the Skies of Fire Server with the same nick. Fell in love with DCS and bought and configured my hole new PC around it :) Currently playing and training the A10C and Ka50, some time we will see online, Gentleman! I am looking forward to it, best greets from Austria!
  6. Absolutely sweeet, thank you very much! I am looking for weapons, then it will be pefect and sweeten up my work days/nights!
  7. Excellent, that's it! Thank you very much Balion!!! For English Cockpit users: "P3H" is "FAIL" -->INU Backup va Combat Computer --I get my AP channels; "РЗБ" is "NAV" -->Backup combat tasks to nav computer Happy New Year everbody and merry christmas to Russia!!
  8. Greetings Gentleman, I have a burning issue I try to get solved for quite some time now. I went through the BS Manual and the web, but couldn't find an answer. So I am asking you, veterans, perhaps someone can help me: I look for a way to use the WCS as a backup for the PVI 800, on which the AP depends. Only question is how? Is it possible? Again... how? The idea came after stumbling over this thread from 2009: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=41704 by JG14_Smil
  9. My absolute Vote +1 Prefer a Su 25 T or TM or SM :)
  10. Thanks for the quick answer SilverDragon, this post and screenshots let me get through last month, sometimes it is hard to keep patient. Excellent post by the way, it make the waiting a lot easier and manageable. Well, I'll continue waiting and flying the A10/Ka 50 campaigns...
  11. Good day/evening gentleman, does anybody know, or has a clue, when the 3D 6DOF Cockpit for the T-Frog may arrive? I used to fly the Su 25T in the beginning of my DCS time, but after the Su 25A, the Ka50 and especially the brilliant A10C Pit I can't go back to the 2D Pit. And I would give a limb (which is not needed for flying) for a DCS level Su 25T/TM/SM....
  12. I increased the virtual memory step by step, had the last crash with 20GB allocated, now I am at 24GB and game runs quite stable so far. Last crash has been at 21st of September. But now I have an another strange problem: sometimes, especially in self created missions or instand missions, the mission won't load, but the game doesn't crash. Just the Windows Mouse Cursor or Loading "Donut" appears and the game doesn't do anything at all anymore. But if I end the game alt-tabing and finishing it in the system tray, I get in-game the message "Do you want really to quit" and can exit it this way. At 2-3 attempts it loads the Mission as wanted. I will try to rebuild my DCS folder again. Anyhow, I am quite satisfied with the game how it works now, thanks for your help guys, you can close the topic if you want.
  13. It ran quite stable, only had 2 crashes in somewhat like 10h of flying time. The size of page file/virtual memory seems to have an impact. Which is odd, because DCS doesn't seem to use even the 8GB physical RAM on our machines completely (around 5GB during missions). Before I had the setting to "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives", which resulted in instant crashes and rendered 1.2.6 unplayable. Then I allocated 8GB manually, got I crash after one hour (first one above), allocated to 12GB manually, got 1 crash in approx. 9h that followed (second one). We played maps, which where last week unplayable like sochi starvation, blindsighted and sepperatists aggression campagin with ka50, a10c and su25. Btw my friend with same system specs had with 12 GB allocated on his Win8 Machine no single crash.

  16. Did all of that, except a fresh direct x install, because my system is only a month old. But giving ENOs thought a changed a bit in the swap configuration, I turned of the automatic allocation for every drive and allocated specificly to my c: drive. Shouldn't change much, but I ran DCS 1.2.6 at all crash-missions (A10C instant action, SU25A Cold Warrior Campaign, Ka50 MP Missions which crashed before), I even tortured the Machine by adding around 500 units to the maps. So far no crash the for 3 hours. Tomorrow I fly the night multiplayer with my wingman (Windows 8), this will be the real test. At worst outcome I bring you some juicy fresh crash reports, from my Win7 and his Win8 System. Good Night Gentleman.
  17. Firstaful thanks for the advice guys! I am currently updating to 1.2.6 again to give it a try, so please don't close the topic yet. @ ENO/swap: Good Point, but it is at automatic, currently are 8 GB allocated of 12GB max. @junk in the background: this is a dedicated sim-pc, not my working machine, so there is very less junk in the background; clean install, no office suite, just an adobe reader (for the manuals :P). so there are no popups; anyhow, I will try to run task manager in the background to have a look next time. Btw my wingman has a very similar machine, only with windows 8 64 bit and experiences the same problems since the update.
  18. Hello ED-Team, I am playing and fell in love into DCS since Version 1.2.5., bought a new system for that purpose. 1.2.5. was very stable, but since the upgrade to 1.2.6. the game had crashed during flight in nearly every singleplayer-campagin game (currently playing FC SU25A and BS2), as well as in multiplayer Games. The crashes appeared random, but at least after one hour. The game was stable in very small maps, like the first four maps in the BS2 Deployment campaign. The game crashed to Desktop with the message "DCS.exe ist not working anymore" My system Specs: OS: Win7 64 Bit SP1 CPU:Core i5-4430 4x3Ghz 8GB RAM GPU: AMD 7770 Ghz Edition SSD HD The Game is running with Admin rights! I tried following things: -Repair DCS for several Times -Complete clean Reinstall of Version 1.2.6 -I moved the dcs folder in the users directory and restarted the game. -I reinstalled the C++ Enviroment Afterwards I lost my nerves and downgraded to version 1.2.5, where I plan to stay until the next patch. On the Bottom is the last crash log, I hope this can be some help and again thank you for your work, your project is brilliant, my friends and I plan to hang on with you for a long time :) Greetings from Austria! # -------------- 20130914-124110 -------------- # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at F2357F51 00:00000000 00000000 00000000 0000:00000000 F2357F51 0025ECB0 0000:00000000 ??4TempFilesManager@CoreUtils@@QEAAAEAV01@AEBV01@@Z()+E21 F23705D6 0025EF80 0000:00000000 ?setRoute@wcColumn@@QEAAXAEBV?$map@MURoutePoint@@U?$less@M@std@@V?$allocator@U?$pair@$$CBMURoutePoint@@@std@@@ed@@@ed@@@Z()+B96 F2356FFF 0025F0B0 0000:00000000 ??0TempFilesManager@CoreUtils@@QEAA@AEBV01@@Z()+1FF F333EBA2 0025F0E0 0000:00000000 ?start@ControllerMission@AI@@UEAA_NXZ()+32 F333DF90 0025F110 0000:00000000 ?setTask@Controller@AI@@UEAAPEAVTaskState@2@PEAVTask@2@@Z()+90 F333E5AC 0025F150 0000:00000000 ?pushTask@Controller@AI@@UEAAPEAVTaskState@2@PEAVTask@2@@Z()+8C F2367749 0025F180 0000:00000000 ?Control@wcColumn@@UEAANXZ()+69 F337FA4F 0025F1C0 0000:00000000 ?NextEvent@wWakeupTime@@UEAAXXZ()+2F E5DC86A1 0025F250 0000:00000000 E5DC8B5B 0025F2A0 0000:00000000 400C8099 0025F330 0000:00000000 400CAACD 0025F390 0000:00000000 400E0A14 0025F3C0
