I like to be in control of my op-sys .. not controlled by it, by shiny squares and idiotic interface! I don't 'just click an icon' I control my Win 7 as I want it! Same with my phone, custom op-sys, perfected for my needs, and modified by me, not any crap at all left on it. But lets not derail this thread with operating system whining!

That's why I stated 8.0.. and I don't have much else to live for then games and sims anyway :music_whistling:
-
The day Win 8.0 will be the gamers op-sys of choice, I'll shoot myself!
-
Great.. thanks again!

@Mainstay noticed the grey lines on the Croatia and CZ Clv fuel tanks? as well

Use the view/dialogs and choose 'show folder browser' and 'show liveries dialog.' Choose the MI-8mt in liveries on the left.. and country on the right. At least that's how I do it

Just start with making a .txt file in the directory DCS World, (ex model.txt) then add bin\ModelViewer.exe inside the .txt file. Then you rename the .txt file to .bat file (since the ModelViewer.exe can't run on it's own it seems, so it have to be started with a .bat file)
-
Make a .bat file in DCS World saying "bin\ModelViewer.exe" without the ""
-
Oh ok.. sorry I just checked the \DCS World\Bazar\Liveries\mi-8mt\Russia_Army_Weather\mi_8_tex_3_W.bmp and there is was 'crisp' and clear

Some versions of the Mi-8's have it on the left side too, check the documentary about it on youtube, it were actually really good EDIT-> link http://youtu.be/nMgbcE-fVME

Your template seems to have picked up some dirt a few versions ago, Mainstay, and lost some of it's color on the instrument panels.. but I guess no one will come close enough to notice it from outside view. But a clean photo job is always nice :smartass:

Nice long-distance shooting! Why did it pull so much to the left when firing thou? looked like you were flying totally straight!? -
Huge thanks for the Iraqi one!
-
Choose some other task then transport is my guess (haven't tried it myself) EDIT-> I were wrong

That would be really nice to be able to reload in the middle of nowhere. Since the blast-radius is really sad for the frag ones, and almost nonexistent on the 'anti tank' ones. -

the S-8KOM rocket is for modern tank-busting (says the encyclopedia) so it should be possible :glare: -
The Iraqi one is one I'm looking forward too, really nice color-scheme!

Are they supposed to be BMP's ? I thought only dds worked, but it looks like it worked for you!
-
Always cranking the Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov tunes, nah seriously I just listen to the rotor blades! Planning how I will miss my next volley of rockets totally!

Need rocket assistance!
Offlinepilot replied to Offlinepilot's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Thanks will try. Might be sideslip that prevents me from hitting straight -
Can someone whip up a video of successful rocket attack, from some range.. preferably killing a tank even? And include thoughts of range and likelihood to succeed

You are comparing a (great) beta and an unreleased product to ED's stuff? Fine do that, but ED's stuff don't have the beta tag.. but none of them are fully functional after all these years!?

Flying the MI-8 made me give the KA-50 another try.. and it feels like the KA-50 is an easy to fly (and shoot with) miracle of (russian) engineering! The landings are almost automatic!
