I'm looking for someone to test the livery below to look if i forgot something or if there's an error somewhere and to give me some general feedback. Send me a PM if interested. I'm not looking for an expert, just someone willing to help. :)

I know they are different aircraft, i think everyone knows it, and with all the research i've done prior doing liveries for it i'd be a fool not noticing it. ;) If you had read the first post you'd know that i specified that i wanted it to be a "japanese F-16" not a "F-16 in F-2 disguise". I even moved the stencils to correspond to the F-16 stencils position (biggest exemple, see "Rescue" panel stencils). Consider it as a "what if Japan bought the F-16 instead of developing the F-2 in collaboration with Lockheed-Martin". It's nothing more... No one is forcing you to download these liveries though, so relax and enjoy whatever rock your boat. :)

Here's another pic, almost finished thanks to Jack who gave me the layers i was needing (Panel lines, rivets, weathering and the missing stencils). The livery comes to life with these layers added:

Thanks! Yes the canopy without the yellowish tint looks much, especially for the JASDF liveries.

Here's a progress picture, no panel lines, missing some stencils and weathering and camo is more or less finished (need to add more assimetry to it): Thoughts? :)

Last summer i've spent a silly amount of time doing the stencils in preparation for the viper release -Sadly i could not find clear enough pictures of all the stencils (especially the underside)-. So i am glad the resolution of the Viper's textures are high enough to keep the stencils crisp, even zoomed in, the time spent doing those stencils was not in vain afterall. :) The F-2 prototype is on the to do list but first i'll do the 3 operational TFS plus ADTW (when the official template is available). As for the 30th anniversary one i don't promise to do it. What i can promise on that one is that i'll do research for clear enough pictures to paint it. ;)

Yes, it's a cool livery. I know it's not an easy one, i made it for the Hornet which in a way was easier because i could have some liberties with it. I'll do an archive of those stencils i have and send them to you in a private message.

I hesitated between that approach or to adapt the stencils to make them relevant as a "japanese F-16" not as a "F-16 in F-2 disguise", as you can see i went the second route. :) The good thing is that both approches can live together, it gives choices which is good! Beside we can never have enough JASDF liveries! :) As for the stencils, i spent a lot of time doing them a while back, so if you want i can send you a few that you still need, just let me know. :) Thank you!

Nice resolution on these textures! Much better than the Hornet. Details remain crisp even zoomed in, that's cool. :thumbup: Can't wait to get my hands on the official template to make proper F-2 liveries! :)
