A long shot, but have you tried inverting the axis for the pedals? I've had this wrong before and taken a while to click what was happening, even though everything 'looked' right...

I think this is the same bug discussed here, not yet fixed https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202752&highlight=AREA%2FPOINT+mode+TPOD

Cougar mfds in vr for the hornet(and the in the future the f16)
Tic-Tac replied to Rakamora's topic in Virtual Reality
I use the mfds for the harier in vr, reduces the amount of mouse grabbing, i can see them down the nose gap in the occulus, so as long as they are 90% in matching position in the game it’s fine (i think the harrier mfd proportions are slightly different from the f16/ cougar.) However, if i’m using the mfd in combination with the ufc it makes more sense to just use the mouse for both...i imagine once we have reliable point and click in VR i’ll not use the cougar MFDs again -
I got one of these a while ago, similar 'off the shelf' solution 2.4Ghz wireless finger mouse computer phone ring finger mini mouse black https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/232350804717?chn=ps

How do you take notes during the flight?
Tic-Tac replied to captain_kuwait's topic in Virtual Reality
this just appeared, seems relevant to this thread... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=229077 -
maybe someone has a better solution, but I start flying fairly lose behind, mark the bearing lead is flying and then move up into parade, main focus on lead but frequent glances at hud to check bearing. After a while/plenty of practice you start to self correct the tendency to drift in
-
should be quite stable,I practice with a simple loop with you as the wing man, start on the apron, wait for lead to taxi out and follow, fly between 300/400 kts. you can try following lead in to land but it's quite a convoluted pattern, easier to just land on first approach...hopefully attachment works formation1.miz

It came as part of a recent update, if you want to be sure that's the issue you can go to the special menu and set alignment to auto so it will behave as it did before the update, then at least you will know if you have a problem or not...

converted into kts for the formula (originally m/s), * 1.9438445

Thanks for the reply, I think I have a pretty good solution, I think similar to yours... been testing a number of scenarios and it seems fairly accurate +/- 1kts between 20000ft - 500ft...but I could be deluding myself... I'm making a couple of assumptions, 1) for height I need above MSL, so I'm using height from getposition to give me above MSL in metres 2) the velocity speed will already take wind into account as it's ground speed, speed as measured over the ground Please set me right if either of these is wrong the formula that seems to work... local IAS = speed -(((alt_MSL^0.964/1000) * 0.019329)*speed) see above for speed So far I tested by running just an AI flight so it showed IAS at the bottom of the screen I expected temperature to be a factor, but does not seem to be...
-
I'm trying to return IAS of a unit using local speed = math.sqrt(velocity.x^2 + velocity.y^2 + velocity.z^2) I'm guessing returns ground speed? I'm familiar with the calc to convert IAS to TAS, but that's not really helping Any ideas?

you could just use the seeker on the IR MAV as this will track a moving target, miss out the TV and pod completely. If you have trouble flying and slewing you can always engage auto pilot
-
Stick extension...although not available to everyone...
-
For me yes...

KC130 refueling status lights I'm not seeing any lights on the starboard side refueling pod - neither steady nor flashing. Refuelling works fine, just no indicator light. I'm in single player, Nevada map, send wingman in to refuel first, then contact tanker, refuel on starboard station - port light works fine both single and duo refueling thanks
-
I believe this has always been the case, certainly I have never been able to create a waypoint without either there being waypoints created in the mission editor or using the mark work around.
-
Yep, you need the extra digit before the coordinate for east
-
there needs to be at least one Way point for this to work, if there isn't one set up in the mission you can create a mark point using the mark button (MRK1?) on the EHSD page, say before takeoff, This seems to work, from there just follow the usual procedure...
-
I get this occasionally in VR with the Rift, but just in one eye...just at a certain angle...very difficult to document as it's only visible with the headset on...
-
that's perfect! thanks
-
Does anyone know of a way to get the distance between yourself and other elements of your flight, for instance to keep accurate spacing for combat spread? thanks

Frontlines Georgia Campaign
Tic-Tac replied to Rudel_chw's topic in Combined Arms: Frontlines Georgia
revisiting these might be a good place to start, the original Matt Wagner tutorials etc...updating or adding to these would help -
4 years in and my Warthog has been 100% all along, not sure if my experience is typical or not...that is apart from the slew I also got the stick extension a year ago, made a huge difference to the quality of control, can't imagine going back to just the grip again But I'm glad you posted this here, I hadn't realised how straight forward the slew upgrade was...now I just need to wait 'til February!

try going into the special menu in options for the harrier, set INS alignment to auto and see if that helps...
-
also it would make our participation in Beta a lot more meaningful if we knew what was considered complete as opposed to WIP...
