  1. Rudel_chw's post in Push-to-Test function not working for nosewheel steering and combat flaps light was marked as the answer
Those are tested with the T button of the configuration indicator (nearby)
  2. Rudel_chw's post in Game never saves my FOV or Seat position was marked as the answer
Your adjustments are saved on the SnapViews.lua file from the \saved games\dcs\config\view folder … check its modification date to confirm if your edits are saved or not .. maybe you have another item that interferes with your fov, for example a hotas axis binded to the dcs zoom control.
  3. Rudel_chw's post in DCS 2.7.11.21408 will not start from steam and continues to crash on the title screen. was marked as the answer
I imagine that you have tried to start DCS after disabling your user Mods .. does it crash without those Mods too?
  4. Rudel_chw's post in Carriers (All of them) are gone from all missions after update to 2.7.11.21408.1 Open Beta was marked as the answer
Maybe you have a conflicting user mod, for example the "Navy Equipment Mod" is known to produce this issue.
  5. Rudel_chw's post in Copy controls from pilot to CPG? was marked as the answer
Yes, you can copy-paste the folder /Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/Config/Input/AH-64D_BLK_II_PLT/ onto the same folder ... windows will appnd a "- copy" to the folder name. Now rename this copied folder to "AH-64D_BLK_II_CPG" and you are set.
  6. Rudel_chw's post in After the most recent update DCS does not load anymore was marked as the answer
    Remove the MB339 user mod.
  7. Rudel_chw's post in Can I get my head a little further forward? was marked as the answer
try to edit the 6DOF limits, as suggested on this guide of mine:

  8. Rudel_chw's post in How complete will this be on launch? was marked as the answer
You can answer that yourself, by just reading the store page: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/ah-64d/
Then simply don't purchase until the Module is out of Early Access.
Not at start, but it will at final release.
  9. Rudel_chw's post in Cant jump into door gunners seat on multiplayer since multicrew is available was marked as the answer
No multicrew-capable aircraft will let you change seat on MP: F-14, C-101, L-39, etc. Get some friends to man the other stations.
  10. Rudel_chw's post in Control settings no longer configured was marked as the answer
whenever you let DCS update, check the change log:

Controls menu change. Cockpit layers are separated to “MI-24P PIlot” and “Mi-24P Copilot-Gunner” (Controls rebinding is needed).
  11. Rudel_chw's post in question about liveries was marked as the answer
Hi, actually Saved Games IS the proper standard ... you just had the folder name wrong, it is "A-10CII", like this:

and they will show on the Sim, like this:

Placing them in CoreMods is wrong, because a DCS Update or a Repair could delete them.

  12. Rudel_chw's post in Where'd my planes go? was marked as the answer
Make sure the historic filter, of the Mission Editor, is not enabled.
  13. Rudel_chw's post in Cannot add or edit sound files on triggers. was marked as the answer
Rename the /Saved Games/DCS/MissionEditor/ folder, for example set it to /Saved Games/DCS/MissionEditor.bak/  .. this will let DCS re-create your mission editor settings to default values, which will solve the problem if it was caused by a wrong setting.
  14. Rudel_chw's post in Make DCS installer install into another drive? was marked as the answer

  15. Rudel_chw's post in Military Aircraft Mod + Civil Aircraft Mod won't show up in mission planner was marked as the answer
Make sure to not employ the Historic Filter of the Mission Editor, as it is only compatible with official assets.
  16. Rudel_chw's post in F5 Tiger E II or F5 Tiger E III or was marked as the answer
The aircraft is actually the F-5E Tiger II ... this aircraft has several variants:

    E
    E-1
    E-2
    E-3

All of them are Tiger II

  17. Rudel_chw's post in MiG-21 bis Cockpit Text Blacked Out? was marked as the answer
Since only the label texts are affected, looks like you have a customized cockpit installed that is not compatible with the current version of DCS. Delete the custom cockpits that you have at \Saved Games\DCS.OpenBeta\Liveries\Mig-21_CP\ and if you have modified files on the /Program files/Eagle dynamics/ path, then do also a DCS_Updater Repair.
  18. Rudel_chw's post in Request from anyone that can help ! was marked as the answer
First, you need to create a Script with the exact text you want the file to have. For example, let's say that at the proper moment I want to ask the player to request permission to Taxi, the text would be:

"Now that we have the Radio properly tuned, contact Anapa ATC by pressing the HOTAS PTT button or the [Rctl + \] key.
Select F1: Request Taxi to Runway.

Press [Spacebar] once ATC has responded."

I will display the text with a MESSAGE TO ALL trigger action.

Now you need a voice file with that text, you have two options:

    1) record it yourself using a Microphone and sound recording software, for example Audacity.

or 2) use a text to speech software ... as my spoken english is pretty poor, I use this option for my missions. A free website is https://ttsmp3.com/

Finally, for DCS the sound file should be in OGG format. If your file is in another format, you can convert it for free on https://www.online-convert.com/

Once you have the sound file, you trigger it with the SOUND TO ALL trigger action. For Multiplayer misions you can use the MESSAGE TO GROUP or MESSAGE TO COALITION instead.

    Best regards,

    Eduardo

  19. Rudel_chw's post in Fresh Beta install: can I copy folders from the stable install across to save download data? was marked as the answer
yes, you can copy from the stable, but after the copy finishes, run the dsc_updater repair of the open beta. This will download any file that was different than the open beta version.
