  1. Chuck, When I ran the mission yesterday, I noticed a truck traveling on the taxiway, nearest the blue smoke. We may need to do our pickups on the far side of the taxiway to avoid collisions with ground vehicles. I wonder if we may need to do some pickups in the grass on the other side of the smoke. With 16 potential transport choppers, it may get a bit crowded on one side of the taxiway. Jim
  2. I flew with the great Chuck once. It was...great! Sadly, the great Chuck has retired but, happily, he was replaced by the fantastic Chuck! Looking forward to Sunday. Hope to see Chuck there! JimTM
  3. Just in case my PM didn't make it, I'll fly a Huey transport. Cheers!
  4. Wonderful demo of the WWII birds Chuck! Thanks to you and Mudspike and thanks to the ED folks for "kicking it up a notch"! Kudos too to Sith for his always accurate release predictions. :smilewink: Jim
  5. With the upcoming multicrew feature, will it be possible for one pilot to take over control of the aircraft from another or for a gunner to take over the position of an injured gunner? Thanks!
  6. +1 to that. The Huey is excellent and lots of fun to fly. There's a real sense of accomplishment once you learn to keep all those parts flying in formation properly. :-) I recently picked up the Mi-8 on sale and I think that's another winner from Belsimtek. I certainly had to adapt my Huey skills though as the rotor turns in the opposite direction.
  7. I'm in the same boat: It's been months since I've been able to connect (even with BD whitelist entries). If I disable Bit Defender to do the repair, doesn't that leave my computer open to a network attack? I've heard that it doesn't take very long for bad things to happen. Salut!
  8. I've had the "Can't connect to master" problem since 1.2.8 beta was released and now I have it in the 1.2.8 public release. 1.2.7 worked fine for me. None of the forum suggestions I've seen so far have worked. I'm using Bit Defender AV and I needed to add the updater to the white list awhile back. I'm not sure if there's something else I need to add to the white list to connect to the master. Is anyone else with the problem using Bit Defender?
  9. I had the same problem. Try running the updater to install your module. For instructions, see the last sticky thread under the current forum. I believe the instructions give the exact module name to type.
  10. I haven't found any difference (yet) after doing a couple of auto-rotations in the new version. I find in both versions that I need to temporarily pull a bit of collective to make the nose come up and establish an 80 knot approach. I start my auto-rotations from 1,000 AGL and bottom the collective within 2 or 3 seconds of throttle off. Cheers!
  11. BitDefender does have a whitelist under the Firewall tab. Click on "Application..." (Sorry, I'm not at PC) and add the DCS updater exe file to the list. This worked for me on a fresh install of DCS 1.2.7.
  12. Yes, I added the DCSupdater.exe to my BitDefender whitelist and the update was successful. In my case, I started with a fresh install of DCS World and the modules before updating.
  13. Thanks Jay, the bug has been officially reported. I love the new FM. The Huey keeps getting better and better.
  14. I reported this bug already in the Huey bug section. Perhaps you can add your report to mine so they know it's not an isolated incident. Cheers!

    New 1.2.7 beta

I love the fix they did to the ETL transition prior to landing. I can actually fly a nice smooth approach now, without feeling like the helicopter gods are going to cut the string holding me up at any moment. I actually found it stable enough to do my first landing on the back of a frigate.
