  1. Hi guys! Here the Jug factory never stops! Another one: A bit of History: The First Brazilian Fighter Group was created in 1943. The training was performed by the Forward Echelon in Florida, then as a Group in P-40s in Aguadulce, Panama, and Suffolk, New York, flying P-47s. It had a Squadron size. During the World War II , the Group was attached to the 350th Fighter Group in Italy as the 4th squadron (1944-1945). It was based initially in Tarquinia and later in Pisa. Due to low on replacements, the pilots extended the Tour of Duty until the war end. "Jambock" was the callsign used by the Brazilian Fighter Group during the war and still is in used today (flying F-5EM and F-5FM). "Jambock" name has an Indonesian/South African origin (sjanbok or Sambok) and means "animal skin or wood whip". It was a kind of whip. About this Livery: The livery is as historical as possible. 2nd Lt. Fernando Correa Rocha flew 75 missions in combat finishing the war flying this aircraft, Silver "B5" P-47D-28-RA SN 42-29265, callsign "Yellow Five" flying most of the time wing to Cap.Pessoa Ramos on his "Yellow Two". After the war he flew airlines at "PANAIR of Brazil" flying DC-3, DC-6, DC-7 and retiring on DC-8s. TAM Airlines Museum (now closed) has a B5 built from other P-47s parts, but the livery is magnificent. This aircraft was flew by W.O. Poucinhas prior to be assigned to 2nd. Lt. Rocha. You may download the P-47D - 1st Brazilian Ftr Sq-Jambock - Rocha Livery here The Patch on the nose means: - Ostrich - Brazilians can take and handle anything; - Hat - The Brazilian Air Force Pilot; - Shield - The Thunderbolt toughness and the Pilot protection; - Blue and the 5 Stars - Brazilian Sky and the "South Cross constellation"; - Pistol - the Jug fire-power; - Cloud - the airdpace, "the pilot's floor"; - Red Backgroung - the blood of the Brazilians WIA and KIA; - "Senta a Púa!" - Group Motto and means "Go for it!" in a "free translation"; Later, after the war, it was added a Flak Cloud to represent the enemy AAA. How to install: 1st Option: Extract the 1st Brazilian Ftr Sq-Jambock B5-Rocha folder to your C:Eagle DynamicsDCS World OpenBetaCoreModsWWII UnitsP-47D-30LiveriesP-47D-30 folder. Remember to double check your HD drive letter and DCS destination folder. 2nd Option: Extract the 1st Brazilian Ftr Sq-Jambock B5-Rocha folder to your C:Users"YourUserNameHere"Saved GamesDCS.openbetaLiveriesP-47D-30 folder If you don't have that folder, you may create it. Remember to double check your HD drive letter and Saved Games destination folder. Feedback is well accepted. Btw, there is a texture problem on the side insignias that I could not solve. The rearmost part of the lateral insignias are kind metallic. I think it will be solved with the future template. 2. Hi Rudel, You made my day! I am very happy with what I see. Thanks a lot. Today I made another two: B5 of Cap. Rocha (75 combat missions and big shot airline Captain after the war) and a Jambock Generic Silver without any Flight or SN marks. Probably they will be available tomorrow. All the best, Sydy
  3. Gents, update vs 1.1 is just uploaded - Text typos, A1 letters better positioned and minor adjustment on the fuselage right insignia)
  4. Gents, update vs 1.1 is just up - Text typos and minor adjustment on the fuselage right insignia.

  6. Hi Ercoupe, It's a kind of "jigsaw" for me... And I like this Squadron a lot because I met most of the WWII Veterans in it. Btw, Update 1.1 for all skins is just uploaded. This afternoon I am going to make a "P-47D Jambock Daredevil Campaign" with the customized skins for us. All the best, Sydy
  7. HI Ercoupe, Everything is possible, but it is a lot of hardwork... I’m gonna give you a very simple example that is almost unnoticeable. Get the B3 livery (my last one) and look and the B3 on the nose. Did you notice that the letters are on the cowl flaps? And it works on both sides? To make that I had to: - First discover where each cowl flap is in the file; - Cut and align the letter part on that cowl flap; - After that I had to make the same process for the dull texturing bellow and match not only the cowl flap position and the painting with the texturing... Hell of a work and a lot o patience... On the third on (A1) I didn’t do that (because I had no idea at that moment). Now I will redo the A1 with the same technique. I will release a 1.1 vs of the four skins today with minor adjustments and I will remake the “P-47 Daredevil campaign with these four skins” to be “brazilian style” All the best, Sydy
  8. Magic!!! Lol No, got the USAF Standard files and worked on it until got a Brazilian Template, now is a matter of customized the Brazilian Jugs. I used GIMP. It was a hell of a work...
  9. Hi guys! Here goes the 4th Jambock Livery: A bit of History: The First Brazilian Fighter Group was created in 1943. Warrant Officer Raymundo da Costa Canario started flying on Yellow Flight as "Red 6" on A6, but after he collided with a chimney (flew with less 1.28m - 4ft - less of his right wing) he moved on to the Yellow flight and Flew 50 missions in combat finishing the war flying this aircraft, Silver "B3" P-47D-30-RA SN 44-33093, callsign "Yellow Three". 10. Thank you, Rudel. I do remember a nice P-47 in a Museu in Santiago do Chile! Take care.
  11. Hi guys! Here we go again! So far I am able to make liveries in silver for the P-47, but I am looking forward for modeling with a Template. This is my third one and I just uploaded the fourth skin: A bit of History: The First Brazilian Fighter Group was created in 1943. The training was performed by the Forward Echelon in Florida, then as a Group in P-40s in Aguadulce, Panama, and Suffolk, New York, flying P-47s. It had a Squadron size. "Jambock" name has an Indonesian/South African origin (sjanbok or Sambok) and means "animal skin or wood whip". It was a kind of whip. About this Livery: The livery is as historical as possible. Warrant Officer Diomar Menezes came to the squadron as one of the very few replacement and flew 71 missions in combat. His plane was a Silver "A1" P-47D-30-RE SN 42-0854, callsign "Red One". He took over this plane after the Flight Lead became sick. He flew it until the War end. You may download the P-47D - 1st Brazilian Ftr Sq-Jambock A1 - Menezes Livery here The Patch on the nose means: - Ostrich - Brazilians can take and handle anything; - Hat - The Brazilian Air Force Pilot; - Shield - The Thunderbolt toughness and the Pilot protection; - Blue and the 5 Stars - Brazilian Sky and the "South Cross constellation"; - Pistol - the Jug fire-power; - Cloud - the airspace, "the pilot's floor"; - Red Background - the blood of the Brazilians WIA and KIA; - "Senta a Púa!" - Group Motto and means "Go for it!" in a "free translation"; Later, after the war, it was added a Flak Cloud to represent the enemy AAA. 12. Hi guys! Here goes my second Livery (some more on the way): A bit of History: The First Brazilian Fighter Group was created in 1943. Cap Newton Lagares was the Operations Officer and flew 79 missions in combat. His plane was a Silver "Black 2" P-47D-30RE SN 42-1093, callsign "Jambock Brown 2". On this airplane, on 26 Apr 1945 at Alexandria, Italy, 2nd Lt. Dorneles became the last Jambock to be KIA in the War. He had 89 missions and was leading a flight on that when he was shot down strafing Alexandria Rail Yard. A photograph was taken with this plane with all 79 missions mark on it. I had the honor to visit his crash site on 2017 and made a home movie about it with my pictures telling the history. I recommend this video down bellow. You may download the 1st Brazilian Fighter Squadron - Jambock 2 - Cap. Lagares and 2nd Lt. Dorneles Livery here TThe Patch on the nose means: - Ostrich - Brazilians can take and handle anything; - Hat - The Brazilian Air Force Pilot; - Shield - The Thunderbolt toughness and the Pilot protection; - Blue and the 5 Stars - Brazilian Sky and the "South Cross constellation"; - Pistol - the Jug fire-power; - Cloud - the airspace, "the pilot's floor"; - Red Background - the blood of the Brazilians WIA and KIA; - "Senta a Púa!" - Group Motto and means "Go for it!" in a "free translation"; Later, after the war, it was added a Flak Cloud to represent the enemy AAA. The left under the wing insignia only had the Brazilian star 15deg offset. The one on the right had a roundel, but it was upside down. 14. Hi, Here we go! Two liveries soon to be released on User Files Download (uploaded already, but non active yet): Brazilian Jugs! These are my very first pair of Liveries ever made... So, be gentle on the feedback! :D All the best, Sydy
  15. Hi, I tried it too to the P-47 and couldn’t. Is it correct to use “/“ not “\” for the .lods path? and for the livery name, there is a “‘“ after “My new livery”. Is that correct also? I used: LoadModel("CoreMods/aircraft/P-47D-30/Shapes/p47-d.lods") LoadLivery("P-47D-30","skintest'") I also tried using “\”, using “F:\entire path”. and so on. I just couldn’t. I’d lo see another example. Thanks in advance, Sydy
  16. Looking forward to it!!!
  17. Nope, it says just disconnected... Condition unknown. I will disconnect everything today and try with my older seat. Edit: 1- Disconnected everything and reconnected - Nothing; 2- Disconnected everything and reconnected my older jetseat (the orange) - Worked fine and no software issue; 3- Disconnected everything and reconnected the green jet seat but now I used the controller cable from the older jetseat - Worked fine. My problem is the cable from the jetseat connector to the usb/audio in/out. Once the pandemia gets ok, I will order another cable from Andre's Store. Jetseat is a no go item for me. As important as TrackIr in my opinion. All the best, Sydy
  18. This one needs a new paint layer... I think 5lt will do it... :D
  19. That's a first day buy for me!!! Looking forward to it.
  20. Vicutus, I accepted sceptre suggestion and converted one. it is here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4372540#post4372540 Enjoy it. Sydy
  21. Hi, Thank you for this specific manual. I have and original copy of that manual, dated of 25 January 1945, yep, 75 years old, and I was thinking how to scan it without damaging it. You solved that dilema for me. Annex goes a picture of my manual’s cover. I got it 22 years ago as a gift from a Brazilian Air Force Colonel (fighter pilot) and he also gave me a real MK8 Gunsight, a P-47 Flight Stick (just the top) and a P-47 Landing Gear lever. It is pretty cool. Anyway, thanks for the pdf. All the best, Sydy
  22. Hi Art-J, My Quick checklist is based on that exact manual. I got a real original copy of that manual dated of 25 January 1945, yep, my manual is 75 years old and if you go check the numbers, they are the same. Go to page 29 and check the numbers. All the best, Sydy
  23. Not as it is at the moment...
