  9. G'day. We are a small group of keen DCS pilots that meet regularly on our dedicated server for operations provided by our mission makers. We have a semi-regular meet Friday or Saturday or Sunday evenings (depending on pilot availability) at 8:00pm AEDT (Sydney time) for continuing PvE campaigns for most aircraft types. We use SRS and Discord (link below). Also, we currently run four successive six hour PvE missions (mainly TTI) on our server. We are a relaxed lot, with varying skills and also provide occasional helicopter PvE missions (quasi Vietnam). If you like what you see, you are welcome to join us. Please note that we are an adult group and therefore some videos may contain graphic language. Find us on Discord - https://discord.gg/FayGduM *Update 1st March 2024* Unfortunately ASOR 234 sqdn is currently on hold and not active due to dwindling numbers of pilots. Our server and Discord are no longer available.
  10. Need a bit of advice here. Having got JTAC working quite well for my Hornet group Ops in the ME with the new GBUs and MavEs, it seems that when I put a flight down consisting of 4 Hornets (grouped as one entity), that only the 'flight leader' in slot 1 can raise and interact with JTAC via the radio menu. If instead, I put the four Hornets down as separate entities, then it seems each can interact with JTAC via the radio menu. Anyone confirm or deny this rumour?
  11. I've just been having a look through the latest (November) Hornet manual. It says the effective range for AGM65E Mavericks is eight miles or less when lock is achieved. I can find no indication of how this is displayed to the pilot. Any help, please?
  12. The problem seems to be in multiplayer mode. Inside the ME editor I can get the JTAC AI to respond when I use the green arrow to test the mission. When I exit and save the mission and try to run it on my MP server, it won't work. See the vid when run inside the ME:
  13. See this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=224681
  14. I have just spent two days trying to work out why I could not get radio contact with AI JTAC on the Gulf map with a training mission for AGM65Es' by a Hornet flown from the Stennis in multiplayer. First I downloaded Wags' Maverick mission tutorial and faithfully copied his AI JTAC routine on to my mission. To no avail, I just couldn't get in contact. In the end, out of pure frustration, I plonked a Hornet down on a friendly land base (Kahsab) and lo and behold, it all worked perfectly. Any ideas why? Edit 1: The AI JTAC will work with a multiplayer mission only if it is accessed within the ME to test the mission out (green arrow - left hand side menu). AI JTAC won't work in a multiplayer session using Hornets. The good news: Harriers will buddy lase in a MP session.
  15. errr....thanks SkateZilla. Am I missing something here? Could you recommend how I can fix the problem so that the utility will work for me?
  16. Hello SkateZilla. Apologies in advance because I'm experiencing problems that have been documented before but I am not PC savvy and need help. I successfully installed and ran the utility once. Now I get the .net framework error when I run: And here is the log: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'E:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Beta 2.5/Config/Options.lua'. 17. I am posting this in case some else has (had) the same problem. When I advance the right throttle quadrant, at a certain point of it's travel, it switches on buttons 1-12. Looks like I'm going to have to endure the ponderous pace of Guillemots' customer service yet again. See 35 sec YT clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrUfdbSMjD8 (edit) - found the problem. Pinched wiring loom going from the pcb board to the right throttle with three broken wires
  18. Also within our Aussie DCS group, apart from some affected and others not, it seems that the A10c can be hot started without crashing.
  19. I've had no problems with either the A10c or F15c and I guess this is the last thing you guys with crashed games want to hear, but it seems the bug is not across all the player base. Also not many folks who are not affected have responded (as is the usual case, I guess).
  20. Thank you gentlemen. You have been most helpful.
  21. @feefifofum Could you explain a little more or point to me to the relevant data please? 1. Why you have to take both? 2. How effective they are against enemy weapons systems as a comparison of turned on and turned off? My information came by Ralfidudes thread on same. Has this changed by way of a patch?
  22. Great Discord service for a SRS related installation problem personally sorted by Ciribob. Thank you sir! Harmer.
  23. Mine bricked today. Purchased February 2014. ASRock Z87 Pro4 Update: 02/11/17 Received the part today. Easy to install. Cost AUS$87 and just over a months wait. Throttle now working.
  24. Well folks, I fixed it. I tried to figure out what I had changed when I managed to get the 190s to attack when I first did the mission. It was the cloud cover! I had an early morning mission (04.30) with cloud 8/10th at 11,000', necessitating the bombers to bomb at 10,000'. When I changed the cloud cover to 9/10th was when the fighters stopped attacking. How does that figure?
  25. Ok thanks for that. Will download and look at that.
