  1. I did try that, but got the same results. The worst is, that initially they did attack, but I forgot what the settings were for that result. Should have left well alone. Damn and blast.
  2. Hi guys. This is driving me nuts. I've spent hours and hours trying to get a couple of German fighter units to attack a US bomber group on the Normandy map for a mission I'm making. The trigger spawn in zone is working great, but they just won't attack. Any help please? Here are my settings - they seem logical to me but just don't work: TASK - fighter sweep WP ADVANCED 1. Fighter sweep - a 2. Formation - finger four 3. ROE - weapons free 4. Search then engage - bombers (see image)
  3. Looks like this purchase was a waste of money for me. My system isn't up to running the Epsom campaign (although I have only tried mission 1 - but if I can't play that then there seems to be no point continuing). I have had no problems running the A10c Enemy Within or the Su25T Georgian Oil War campaigns (but then again, they are on the Caucus maps). My rig & set-up:
  4. Don't bother. They apparently don't work. (edit) even when you turn em on ;)
  5. Lol. Just looking over this ancient post. Well, ended up getting the Track IR, the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog and the Saitek combat pedals. Managed to get over the huge learning curve (for me anyway). I have a great group that I fly with. I am one happy A10c pilot, let me tell you.
  6. G'day flyers. I'm in the market for an Android tablet and am looking for DCS A10c apps. I've seen both DCS Manager and DCS Kneeboard as useful and free on Google Play. However, a CDU app would be what I'm really after. What's out there that's not too expensive or free and actually works with current versions of 1.5 and 2.0?
  7. Serial: 20712 Location: Sydney, Australia.
  8. Sorry, Madog & Hitman...the question didn't mean to come out as being a lazy SOB..a poor choice of words for the opening sentence. I don't understand the acronym RTFM, and did actually try to search but couldn't identify the correct key words to use. Being a newbie and also anxious to get on with learning the sim also didn't help. I guess I'm just impatient to get on with it and that approach seemed the best at the time.
  9. Sorry, I actually meant to ask if there were the equivalent on a real A-10C. i.e. Does the a real A10-C have toe brakes fitted on the rudder pedals?
  10. I have just recently got the above set-up in combo with the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS for the A-10C sim. The Saitek has extra axis usually used for right and left (toe) braking notably on twin/quad engined piston a/c. Is there an equivalent on the A-10? If not, do any of you guys program these and if so, for what?
  11. This has no doubt been asked before...but I really can't be bothered to trawl the forums for the answer. Just purchased the above FS & Throttle combo so just preparing the large learning curve on the A10-C. However, can't find in my manuals what the (triggered) button near the front base of the Flight stick is used for, located down from the NWS button (looks like it's colored yellow on pg 87 of DCS-A-10C Flight Manual to me). Is it for TS comms?
  12. Damn you guys....now you torment me with over-sized images. :)
  13. Hmmm...I'm beginning to see that. I've actually just ordered TrackIR 5 and Pro clip from the 'States..since I can at least use it on some of the other sims I've got. Now to get a quote on the manuals :P
  14. Which A-10c training videos do you pilots rate highly? They're seems to be quite a few out there in YouTubeLand. I've just had a look at some of Gerry Abbott's stuff...which seem very good...any others I should check out? Newbie.
  15. There's a standard POV on the yoke...but it seems like one POV isn't going to cut it from what's been posted so far. As far as using a yoke goes...it seems that there's a helluva learning curve to get even half-way proficient as a sim pilot on the A-10. I would expect that it'll take me a couple of months without having to resort to the sort of evasive maneuvers that suits a proper flight stick anyway, just to get the basics down and I'd probably just initially try combat with stuff that can't fire back. Problem with US gear is that our Aussie dollar is suffering atm and freight prices are getting silly again. I've just ordered around $100US in gaming products and the freight increased to cost by half again to $150 and then got converted to $180AUS. Wow...just checked out the Thrustmaster HOTAS throttle & stick at $500 locally and the Track IR 5 + and Track clip Pro bundle at $208US shipped to Australia. Over $700.00!!! Plus printing costs for the manuals and then the software cost. Sheesh. And I'm presuming I can also still use my Saitek Combat Rudder pedals in combo. How many of you guys have this set up?
  16. One thing I expect to have to do is operate the joystick with my left hand whilst operating the mouse with my right (since I'm right handed). I normally find a yoke a lot more stable to do that task with (good job Parkinson's hasn't set in yet). I also expect that I'll need to position my keyboard forward and slightly under the yoke to be used with equal ease by both hands. Is this a correct assumption? I realize that the ultimate goal would be the correct products as suggested, multiple monitors and head movement tracker....but....funds don't permit that as yet.
  17. As a Microsoft FS-X user, I'm on the brink of purchasing the DCS A-10C module. It's probably been asked before, but I can't be bothered to trawl the many posts here. So, I have the Saitek Yoke system, throttle quadrant and Combat rudder pedals. I don't want to have to get another flight controller system, so will this be ok? Any others users here had problems with this system? Thanks in advance. Newbie.
