  1. Hi @LetMePickThat, no problem, real life first obviously. By the way, I made some update on your version of HDS, compatibility with last DCS version, merged with "S300Pack" mod and with new liveries (thanks to @Scoop). I'm still working on a real S-400 version (update from "S300Pack"), the original version had got almost the same capacity as the S-300VM or S-300V4.

HI, trying to destroy a SAM site alone, good luck. only way is 2 or 3 axis of attack with saturation and shooting all at the same time....possibly you can try to empty the SAM site while flying at the very low altitude and using terrain to break the lock and crash all the missiles, DCS's AI are sometimes so dumb so you can make it shoot at you all his missile using the same trick to avoid being shot down.
  3. Hi @SnakeEyes, you'll need another mod to get this assets, it's an add-on mod of HDS called "2SAP" or "SAM Sites Asset Pack". you can find it here: the name of the asset you are looking for is "ERO_S300_Reload".

HI @currenthill and @Ss500, There is already a mod with modernized version of BUK-M2, S-75, S-125, S-200, S-300 PS/V/VM/V4, and S-400 called High Digital Sam (HDS) from @LetMePickThat available on the DCS mod's forum. I know @LetMePickThat has not updated it since months, but i'm still trying my best to make it work with the latest DCS version and to make it match the real performance in regards to the OSINT informations we've got. About the S-500 there are still no accurate informations about it. @currenthill your work is very impressive, the 3D models are great, but i still have doubts about performances of anti air defence missiles, they outperforme most of the current ingame missiles, like the SM6. I've take a look at the lua files, and all the parameters available in it, and i think you have overpowered the "cruise" time, the maximum speed, the guidance system (the missile is already lock on you when fired from the ship , and disregards the ship's radar which cannot see you anymore because you're just flying behind a mountain...but the missile still continue is flight towards you and following your movement behind the mountain...) I've take a look at the data about that missile on Wiki, and all related articles....yes there are a lot of expectations about performances update, anti ship capacity,...but there are no real data, just expectations... It is your work, i'll respect it, I only made this remarks because i expect that those weapons made for DCS still remain "real".
  5. Try using ReShade : https://reshade.me/ with this : NVG 0.iniNVG 1.iniNVG 2.ini There are no other way to have NVG in aircraft without native NVG...

Hi @WaffenCat first file is "grass_n_4.dds" located in "X:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar\Textures\buildings_sum.zip / buildings_aut.zip / buildings_win.zip / buildings_spr.zip second file is "FARPS land.dds" located in "D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar\TempTextures" for your information, some MODS are replacing the main DCS textures, so check your mods's textures folder first (DAMS.ZIP in this mod's texture folder contain FARPS land.dds).

  8. Hello @Zapon You're not at the correct topic, "2SAP" is only an addon to the "HDS" Mod which is what you are looking for, see below.
  9. It's very hard to identify the mod causing the issue, the DCS log is sometimes fishy, detecting lots of "WARNING EDCORE" or "ERROR" but mods are working fine... There is something that may be the issue you are looking for at this line : 2024-03-04 22:42:37.318 ALERT Dispatcher (Main): Error running db_scan: dublicate sensor :Sea Giraffe AMB surface I had got some problems with duplicate radar sensor between two mods that were the problem for me, you will have to find this radar (Sea Giraffe AMB surface) in a "file".lua in the "sensor" folder of the concerned mod. If it doesn't work, I will recomened first to remove the last mods added one by one.. if unsuccessful, try removing all mods and putting the mods one by one to identify the problem.....i know it may be very long (I have 120 mods installed....)

  12. Hi @currenthill , I jump in about this, i performed some testing and i need to update this problem of "guidance".... I never experienced a tracking problem, but some weird tracking....example, multiple missiles are fired at a ship from different sites ( @dimabzz make this if you want more missile on one target), ship is defending well but at some time some missiles passing through and the ship is sunk....but more missiles at still flying toward that ship but instead of trying to find a another target they are all trying to reach the sunk ship...all missiles went in water ???? why ??? finding another target, no....auto destruction, no....
  13. HI @currenthill I have a question regarding the SM6 missile and the whole air defense system from the naval assets in the USA Pack. Yesterday I performed a flight (Su27) in a dense mission involving numerous naval US ships in 1 group (3 DDG, 2 CG, 2 FFG, 1 LHA and 1 LCC) attacking ground target with Tomahawks at around 180 km. Defenders are 4 groups of BASTION P launchers and multiple SAM sites. first of all, 2 DDG are firing all the tomahawks they are tasked to fire and 1 DDG is firing a 1 SM6 at me at around 160 km, no RWR alert...ok modern missile in TWS... benefit from allied EWR i aware of a missile in my direction. I dive to very low level (aroud 50 ft) and change direction but the missile is still heading towards me. no missile lock (on RWR) so the missile is directed by the ship. I'm below the radar horizon of the ship but he is still able to track me...i'm finally diving to below 10 meter and now it seems that the ship/missile is blind or maybe just out of energy....I think the ship capacity are a little overpowered... Secondly a lot of anti ship missiles are coming towards the US fleet, but they are unable to defeat the incoming attack and a lot of ships are sunk, a another anti ship strike arrived, but this time it remain only three fighting ships (1 DDG and 2 FFG) and this time the DDG is defeating almost all the incoming strike....strange... maybe a DCS logic bug... I think the same would applied to the Bastion P asset regarding the engaging distance in my mission, being able to engage ships at about 180km at sea level seems to me impossible Tacview-20240130-010237-DCS-Test_HDS_2.zip.acmi calc-radar-horizon-f11.svg
  14. HI, Conflict with an old iranian asset from CH which you forgot to delete...or with another mod...try removing all mods and restarting DCS with one mod after one another...

Hi @SkipperSMG You're right about curvature of earth, it is simulated in DCS, you will also have to take into account that there are ECM, and the size of the target, so aircraft needs to be close by the SAM site to be engaged. And for your information the maximum range of the missile correspond to the maximum distance which the missile may able to reach on a non evasive target flying at maximum speed straight toward the SAM site at the maximum altitude. knowing that, AI is waiting to shoot at a distance that it is sure to destroy the target.
