  1. Nice job. I'm really rooting for you guys to hit that 2014 deadline that you set.
  2. Fingers crossed for F-4. Mig-21 needs a proper opponent. :)
  3. Earlier this year they said it's gonna be released in 2014. :)
  4. So Hornet map has the priority over Normandy? Does that mean Hornet isn't that far away?
  5. Amazing update!!! HORNET! HORNET! HORNET!
  6. FC F-15C used to have A2G mode that you could enable by adding A2G command. It was removed for an unknown reason few months ago.
  7. Is this still to be released in 2014?
  8. You can always donate.
  9. We've had the same situation in my previous squadron. We flew the A-10C but after a few years people grew tired of it and FC planes simply didn't provide enough challenge and/or complexity. Then more and more people switched to BMS until there was no longer enough people to play DCS with.
  10. Woah, this one seems to be in the later stages of the development process. Nice work.

    HI

Good luck AvioDev! Any new addition to DCS is more than welcome.
  12. Thank you for the update Wags. Very much appreciated.
  13. No, only a select few are flying around in Hawk. That doesn't count as a release.
  14. Yes. Where does this leave the F-18? It is worrisome indeed. It's been a long time since we got new content, everything is delayed and cancelled. How can ED cover EDGE, F-18 and all these WW2 planes? What does this mean for DCS in general? Yeah, I'd be a major shame if F-18C was delayed because of this, we've been waiting for a new modern jet since 2011 and now we're getting 8 or even 9 props in the next year alone and not even a word on the status of the Hornet.
  15. Maybe the just mean the "updated" Georgia map and NTTR?
  16. Same here. Not buying it until proper scenery and AI objects are in-game or included with F-86. There is absolutely no immersion if you fly this plane over modern day Georgia against opponents completely unrelated to your plane.
  17. IGN, Eurogamer, SimHQ, joker.si (the he only professional, national gaming news site and magazine, has covered Lock On and DCS in the past).
  18. So, beta next year? :smilewink:
  19. Enjoying this one very much. :) Thanks for your work. By the way, which text-to-speech program did you use? Seems really good.
  20. :) Well, plenty of AC to keep us busy in the meantime. But it can't be that far can it?
  21. Does the same "a little bit longer" also apply to F-18C? :music_whistling:
  22. Great posts, Eddie. Too few people are brave enough to post opinions like that around here. People here use "DCS is a Sandbox" argument as an excuse for everything around here. DCS is not a sandbox, it doesn't have anywhere near the amount of content to be a sandbox game. Take a look and see what Il-2 1946 with mods offers and than look at DCS sandbox capability again. One very old map, few modules that don't really fit together time-frame and capability wise and a lack of a polished, well rounded, functioning core game. DCS is just all over the place, it's a mess, a beta if you want. And now, VEAO and LN are switching to WW2. (honestly, they are the only 3rd parties that actually have something working to show so far. ( Belsimtek is a partner so it doesn't count in this argument) I can imagine that people who we've been supporting this franchise since Lomac and are waiting for some jets that haven't been around since 2003, aren't very happy with this recent development.
  23. I don't think there are too many WW2 planes coming. DCS needs to expand on WW2 front with maps and planes so that it becomes a viable gameplay option and not just outdated prop planes flying over modern Georgia and Nevada. The real problem, IMHO, is with modern fast jet projects. They all seem to be like myths and legends. Vaporware. "So-and-so jet is totally coming guys, like for real. But you'll have to wait for at least a year before we can tell you anything more besides that it's coming." *Mig-21 excluded since it's not modern and seems to be close to completion
  24. Rudel hinted at a Grumman "cat" plane. Hellcat? Wildcat? Tigercat?
