I dont believe that. From what I experienced so far: 1. huey will get cut in half by a single 30mm round from a bmp2, even a burst of 14.5mm tore off my tail a few times. And cockpit hits with 30mm usually kill the pilot. 2. The KA50, while being very stable to fly even with heavy damage, still very very very quickly loses all targeting systems by light enemy fire. Usually during combat, the first hit destroys the targeting systems, but then you can still fly home, even with one engine on fire and the tail missing. 3. The Mi8 is a very large target and you will end up with a burning engine very quickly if getting shot at by anything larger than 7.62 Also keep in mind the huey and mi8 have a lot of empty space in the helicopter, so hits might not hit vital systems.

I dont think they have to rewrite it. The Serbian language uses latin and cyrilic letters in the same way, means only a font change should fix it.

As I mentioned about 20 pages before, the problem was the manual being not clear on how to lock the tailwheel. I thought central cyclic pitch would keep it locked so I was sliding like a piece of soap. Pulling the cyclic 60% back makes it super stiff and then it is like the P-51 on take off.

I think there is a problem with that. The AWACS plane has 1-124MHZ while the f86 channels only allow setting from frequencies above 200 somethings. Also should that not be even an issue at all with easy comms?
-
I have added the line for AWACS and it does appear on the menu but greyed out. Since I have easy communication on I can still navigate the options and ask for picture, but the AWACS (ground radar in this case) does never respond. Is there some radio frequency stuff I have to set?
-
Is that possible on an F86? It works out of the box on an A10c, but the AWACS does not appear on the F86.
-
1. Where did you get the manual from? 2. How to "create a custom CGI group"? 3. How to interact with the ground based radar? I placed myself an f86 on the russian side and an EWR on the ground, but there is no radio options for interacting with that.
-
What possibilities does the game have in terms of radar support? 1. I know there is AWACS planes, but can ground based radar be used to simulate korean war scenarios where the ground radar leads the planes to combat? 2. Can ground based radar units spot units on their own and make the info available to players (in any form)? 3. Will ground based radar units "work" by simply putting them near AA vehicles? Example the BUK or PATRIOT have vehicles with a detection radius but no actual weapons on them. How to use them as intended?

Asking some random questions that I have about the dora: 1. What is the mysterious rudder trim going on when using autostart? It appears to increase during taxi and looks almost the same like a 5 degree trim on the p51, but I have all controller assisting options off in options. 2. Why is there black smoke puffs somewhere on the trajectory of the cannons/machine guns? Is the 20mm self detonating like flak ammo?
-
That fixed it, when holding it 60% back the tail is way stiffer and take off is less difficult. The manual should be more specific instead of: Which suggested the wheel would be locked in neutral or at least small amounts of back on cyclic.
-
I have noticed when doing autostart, the rudder appears trimmed to the right, but I see no obvious controls for rudder trimming in the cockpit, where do I find that?
-
I still dont want to believe the only way to steer during taxi is the wheelbrakes, on the P51 you can use the rudder only with some speed Also how to lock the tailwheel?
-
That worked, When taking off from runway, the plane already being straight, its like a more sensitive pony, however when I have to taxi to the runway I end up with the tailwheel being in some random orientation which gets in the way. Any tips on straightening it out?
-
Does not look like it. The only force I have to worry about on the P51 was torque which could be countered with rudder. But for some reason: 1. Tailwheel does whatever it wants 2. Rudder has no effect during taxi Both these points are not the case on the P51. Which leads me to believe ED overexaggerated the braking and tailwheel difficulty while completely leaving out locking tailwheels that actually lock and rudders that actually work when the plane is rolling for a bit
-
If that is the case, why can I control an f-86 with only the rudder during taxi and its front wheel has no steering either? The tailwheel should straighten itself like on the f-86 after the plane rolls a bit forward like on the f-86, but instead its that deathtrap that randomly locks and steers the plane into a curve.

I think the dora's take-off difficulty is not consistent with other dcs planes. I think the dora's take-off difficulty is not consistent with other dcs planes. I can take off the P51, without any ingame assistance, without wheel brakes, without rudder pedal peripherirals, just by controlling the rudder using the twist on my stick and holding it slightly back to lock tailwheel. But on the dora, the tail wheel never stays properly locked, forcing dependence on very sensitive braking. Looks like Eeagle Dynamics overemphasized that part just to add difficulty gameplay. Also trying to use the rudder during taxiing has no effect whatsoever, but on the P51 taxing by only using the rudder is 100% possible without ever touching wheel brakes. So what is going on here? Was the dora historically immune to ANY rudder effect during taxi or is that some hardcore gameplay ED made up on the fly? Looks like all rudder and wheel lock effects are broken or left too weak on purpose so players have to play the wheelbrake minigame.

A few questions about the SU-27 detection systems. 1. Radar Assuming we look at the plane from a side view: - The start point is the plane's radar - The end point, horizontal line, called x, has the length of the estimated range - The vertical line called y, has the length estimated elevation - The vector adding x + y is the diagonal from start to the endpoint which is where the radar is pointing at. Is this correct? 2. Is the beam cone of the radar always a cone of 10 degrees no matter where it points at? 3. EO mode, how does it work? The range scale in the center, always says 10, but I was able to detect a large plane on 160 km using it. Also what is its use in combat?

How limited is multiplayer spectating? I would like to setup missions where players who lose their aircraft have to spectate, is there a free look mode even if the realism setting is set to not showing anything on the F10 map?
-
Is using the mouse for aiming broken on the flexisight and door gunners? I recall it working 6 months ago and the manual says it is supposed to work
-
Is is possible to place custom ADF points on the map that have custom frequencies, and what range is not taken by airports?
-
Is the sale happening on Steam too?
-
Is that a typo? Shows as 24.99 in shop.
