JPS2K I thought you were talking bout quick missions where you start in the air. Never experienced your issue when starting on ground. I think DrDetroit's observation makes sense though.

Are you pre-positioning your cyclic, throttle, and collective to match anticipated flight parameters prior to hitting Fly. If, need be, you can got into M.E. and reduce initial airspeed to facilitate gaining control. Don't exactly recall the significance of this setting in this regard but play around with "Synchronize Cockpit controls with HOTAS controls at Mission startup" under OPTIONS/MISCELLANEOUS. On a sidenote: Don't give up on Huey. It is painful to master but once you do (and you will) it's a beautiful thing.

Thank you EDIT; Just come across a good resource for UH-1h / Lycoming T53 from DOT/FAA 2004. Would still appreciate your thoughts on limit "ranges" and, brief vs continuous violation of limits. Thanks again for any advice on this.

DSPALLASVI, I have limited experience with M.E. I'm only flying SP for now. Would happily modify each mission via M.E. (and save) to get "closer" to EGT implementation. Is there a practical way for you to let me now what I need to do in M.E. to effect this. Don't mean to put you out on this but if it's easy enough, I would appreciate it. Thanks

DSPALLASVI, this is a brilliantly laid out argument regarding fidelity optimization of the Huey. Belsimtek's creation here is too special to leave so imperfect. I share your passion for this bird and am also a Komodosim convert. I am nearing retirement and, during this transition, Huey has provided ample intellectual stimulation as well as fun. I regret that my expertise and skills do not include computer software manipulation so I cannot be contributory there, but I beseech you to continue to spearhead this movement. SONDO, please don't give up on Huey. Your observations and opinions are compelling. We need your experiences and passion to champion this effort and help make this happen..

Dspallasvi, could you please direct me to the RL Huey manual. The more I learn bout this issue the more bummed I get. I have become what I thought was pretty proficient in piloting my Huey. Afraid I never really paid to much attention to EGT. Now that I am, I see that I've gotta make some adjustments. If I know what Huey's limits are, I guess I can employ "honor system" till these parameters are implemented in the sim or you guys come up with work around. Thanks for keeping this issue publicized. Tako, Relax! Always restart via menus. I've been thru smoke successfully a few times, identically to your vid. Since mission failure though, no go. I'll mess around with it a bit. Then maybe hit it with my shoe. Just had a thought. I've been fast forwarding the troop embarking segment cuz music drives me nuts. Wonder if that's a prob. Will keep ya posted. Thanks again.

I noticed that in non combat Quick missions such as FREE FLIGHT I can arm my Huey but static structures in-game are not effected by weaponry. Also, it appears that if I convert an asset to red (enemy), I see it on F10 map but not in game. Is there a way to program this in M.E.? Thanks

Try going into M.E. and relocating the enemy's assets. Dispersing its firepower should help. You can "titrate" their location from easy to hard as you improve your survivability.

If I start out using copilot flexible sight I'm fine. If I jump over to pilot sight for a while then try to return to flexibles, I lose the lamp and articulated guns. Am I missing something?? EDIT; Just tested it out again. Looks like Flex Sight system goes out with minimal bullet damage to main frame. Assume that answers my question. I didn't delete this post in case I am indeed missing something else.

Got my Sound Bar cranked up and Bass whoofer maxed out. Room shakes, feel it in my chest. LOVE the SOUND and FEEL of the Huey!!
