  1. Okay, Odd, I noticed that this morning. Yes, I can be a dumbass! lol
  2. Okay, I have been waiting for someone else to bring this up, but Im tired of waiting.... So here is the issue.... Since the last update (perhaps the one before the last update) the english cockpit only partially works. The lettering in the cockpit is english, but hey still speak to you in Russian and the words on the ABRIS are still in Russian. Prior to the update this was working fine.
  3. Okay, problem solved.... Damn MacAfee total virus protection was causing the issue. I threw that biatch in the trash.
  4. Be happy to share my miz and log file... Yes, I am willing to share the missions and I had to zip up my dcs.log file to get it to upload to the forums without and "upload error". This miz file is a map I origionally created in 1.2 then ported over to 1.5. It was working natively fine until I added 3 trigger zones to it now, even after removing the trigger zones, it does not function. Dominos_1_5.miz dcs.zip
  5. Since the latest update of DCS 1.5 beta (Version 1.5.1.47025) Ive been experiencing some strange behavior connecting to multiplayer sessions (any multiplayer sessions). Here's what happens: I connect to the server list fine. I then choose a server to join. I click the server, click join, and watch as the loading terrain and whatnot messages come up then I am sitting on the map. There is nothing on the map, just the map itself and it sits for a few minutes then kicks me back to the multiplayer sessions list. Here is what I have noticed: to begin with, the session seems to be paused, as indicated in the upper left corner by the flashing P. Then, as I press the ' key to bring up the player pool, I, and anyone who came in after me are listed but no one who was there before me shows up in the list. Here is how I have done some work around: My first thought was to do a dcs repair. Which I did and was able to connect. Then. the next day, I had the same issue. So I thought, okay, maybe it has something to do with my network, so I shut down my real-time scanning and firewall, and again I was able to connect... Once. The next time I attempted, the same thing happened. So I did another DCS Repair. Walla, I was able to connect. Until the next time I tried to connect and the problem was back. Even when I can connect, the screen sits on the Map for quite a while before letting me in. Am I the only one with this issue?
  6. This is going to be hard to explain, but it seems to me that the ME has become something of a powder cake and you never seem to know whats going to set it off to blow up your mission. I have several missions that I have built in 1.5 but cant run them cuz they at some point in editing, they become unstable and I have know Idea what I "did" to cause the instability. Like, for example, I have a mission that was working fine until I added some Trigger zones to notify the multiplayer environment when enemy troops were passing through. So I go to save the mission. It seems to save fine, but then I go to fly the mission and I get the box that says the mission has not been saved, do you want to save... if you click yes, the box will reappear as if you did nothing. if you click no, the mission will load, but as soon as you jump into an aircraft, DCS shuts down instantly with no error, no nothing. So I go back and remove the items I added and still the mission exhibits the same behavior in that it shuts down if I occupy any aircraft. I have had similar experiences with several missions. It makes me nervous anytime I open a mission to make changes that the mission will never work again. So much so, that I started making copies of missions before editing them for even the smallest change. This is so stupid, and irresponsible programming on DCS's part.
  7. No, absolutely not. Multiple Monitors work the same way in Multiplayer that they do in single player. I have 3 and its nice
  8. I have the same issue with several missions. Your post allows me to fix them, thanks. Here is the deal. When you lower your graphics, say to do some testing, the options file gets modified, but for some reason, you cant change it back. Could have something to do with file permissions or something stupid like that, I haven't look into it that far yet.
  9. Well, I say random, but it is happening every session. We Putz's/MSFlights.net group are having some issues with the multiplayer sessions crashing, or crashing everyone who is in the server but not the server itself. Doesnt matter which mission we run or from what server (Been testing on 2 servers). We were not seeing these issues prior to the latest few updates and was wondering if any other groups are experiencing the same?
  10. Love the Sabre, hate the Quickstart guide. Its like they were in the middle of copying some shit to paste into another area of the manual but did change anything in the pasting data and modified some headers but didnt have the right information under the rockets section. I hope my rant was as confusing and incomplete as the quickstart guide. Yes, the little switch under the hat switch is all I really need to do to activate rockets. Why the hell didnt the quickstart guide say THAT?
  11. Okay, this cant be correct because I Do have other missions with multiple pickup points that embark and disembark in multi-player.
  12. odd, cuz I have others that work fine. at least with a single pickup zone. Regardless. thanks for the info. I have adjusted my map accordingly. took some creative triggering, but I was able to remove the embarking pieces for a "bag of tricks" to make it function with triggers. Doesnt do exactly what I wanted, but willing to compromise to make this mother F'r work.. lol
  13. Okay, this is going to sound a bit like my melon has been thumped, but here goes..... I have been working on a mission by where Huey's are able to embark troops from a FARP and disembark them at one of two points on the map, one north, and one east of the friendly AB. I created 4 sets of platoons and called them: North Alpha, North Beta, East Alpha, and East Beta..... All four of these platoons are embarked from the same point and disembark at their perspective LZ's. This works fine. I embark all four platoons to the Huey and I don't even have to tell the Huey to embark the troops. After building the scenario, I test it using the map editor "fly mission" feature and all is good and it works beautifully. I then make the mission hot in multi-player and again, all works beautifully. Then, I added a Spy Extraction piece where a single unit is deep in enemy territory and needs to be extracted. The spy is a single infantry unit and is extracted from an EZ (extraction zone) after about a 45 min flight in the huey to get there. After picking him up, the huey should fly the spy back to Kobeleti for debrief..... No problem.... Spy's first WP is set to embark to UH-1's and his second WP is to disembark at the drop zone, then he continues on to a tent...... Then I test the mission in the ME "Fly mission" feature. Everything works great so I toss it up on the net. To my dismay, when I fly over to the first Pickup Zone to get a set of troops and the F6-Decent option does not appear in the menu when using the \ key. So I cant pick up any of my troops. So I'm like, "WTF?" and fly 45 min up to the spy. Again, No option to embark from the huey. So I am like, "WT-45 minutes of flying-F?" So I go back to the editor to see what I mucked up. Everything seems cool, so I use the "fly mission" feature in the ME to make sure I am not crazy. Everything works fine...... So I fire it back up in multi-player thinking that it must have been a fluke. Nope... F-6 again not an option when in multi-player. Again, "WTF?" So I have been F'n with this for about a month now. Even rebuilt the mission from the ground up, only to get the same results. Then, it dawns on my that the 4 sets of troops embarking points may be too close together and they may be waiting on each other to get to their waypoints. I back off the embarking points so they cant cross and fire up the mission. Still, same results.... It seems as though if I have multiple Pickup zones (for embarking) that the feature doesn't work at either place in multiplayer. Things I have attempted: - I tried to set the embarking on the huey to include the 4 platoons in one embarking order and created a second embarking order to include the spy, pointing each embarking order at its perspective area. - I tried not set the embarking option in the huey. - I tried setting all units in a single embarking order in the huey. - I tried setting the spy to not spawn until the huey was close. - I tried embarking the spy to a mi-8 - I tried to set specific huey for each group embarked. Anyone else having this problem?
  14. Take what down to a zip file? When I do a prepare mission it just loads the game and asked me to select an aircraft. I am now having this issue because I tried the 'prepare mission' option by mistake when I misclicked.
  15. Thought I figured it out then, boom, main shaft failure. does matter how I set the failures in the mission editor, my aircraft fail every time. 44 views and nobody has an opinion about this? Am I the only one this happens to? UPDATE: I got it resolved. Weirdest resolution though. I had to turn on failures, in the mission editor and in my game, then turn them back off again.
  16. oh, and I think that 'enforce' and 'value' are the most lame category titles I have ever seen. What the F does that mean, 'enforce' and 'value'?
  17. Help!, I cant figure it out.... all missions that I create have random failures turned on no matter how I set the 'Enforce' and 'Value' options in the mission options. I read that if you have failures turned on in options and the check box for use these options for all missions checked that the failures from the mission options would be overwrote. I dont see any options for failures in the options and I unchecked it anyway. Still. Every frickin flight I can only make it 1/2 way to the battlefield before a 'random' system failure shuts down my aircraft. Huey, A-10C, KA-50, doesnt matter. Something will Fail to shut my AC down before I ever reach the battle field. Nothing RANDOM about that! I stand corrected, there is an option for random system failures under Misc, but mine is, and and has been, unchecked.
  18. No to bird strike. I am having the same issue with any map that I create. birds or no birds. even when I dont select random failures, my uh-1 fails every flight. and its not the way I am flying it. I cant figure it out. Dont understand at all. Of course. when the options for adding stuff is enforce and value, I am not exactly sure what Enforce and Value mean.
