Hello all ! Several months ago, Slicker55 sended to me a message, showing his interest on learn how to create an helios profile. From that moment, we meet several days on Skype, and i show him how to create a profile using my experience in other profiles. Today i am proud too present you the resoults of that colaboration ! A new MIG-21bis Helios profile ! Is still on development, but all the hard part is done, so soon you can use it. Slicker55 has been working hard creating all the code and the initial art. After flying a lot of hours in the KA50, i discover this beauty! And every day i feel more happy to use it. Everytime i design a new mission i reserve some places for the MI-8, now our misions in the squadron are more complex and funny! Congratulations for this amazing piece of art.

I found this problem long time ago. Helios dont copy everything to other location, sometimes, Usually if the target is another monitor, or the hierarchy is not the same. Sometimes i fixed this changing some lines in notepad++ Send me the profile after your reset monitors, i can take a look and see what happens.

The best way to do it is to copy the complete profile using the windows explorer, then open this new profile and delete all the things you dont need, and rescale the things you need. In that way you dont miss any code.

I installed the update 1.5.4 without the webcam. But was connected the last day i was playing with 1.5.3

OK, i fixed the problem. Yesterday i removed the webcam i used for the trackir, from the usb port, to connect a external HD. As soon i conected the camera again, the game, start widthout problem. ..

Hello all. I just installed the 1.5.4 update on the beta and the game do not run. Everytime i doubleclick the DCS openbeta icon, the game crash after some seconds. Any help? Thanks in advance. I dont have the Steam version, i use the DCS one, so i really don't know where you need to put your export.lua in your installation, but in the DCS one, is not there ! Is in C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts ..

HI! If you dont have any response on your gauges, the problem is probably your export.lua. I need to take a look in the export.lua for the AoA, but as far i remember it works. The FC Flaps output from the game, dont work. I let it conected to the output, so, if someday ED fix it, it will work properly on the profile. We dont have output for the afterburner state in the FC export functions, so i put the lights ON when you reach 98% of the rpm engines. Usualy this is the moment the afterburner start. We dont have output for the Yellow needle in the VVI in the FC export functions. I use the banking of the airplane to move that needle, the values are very similar to the ones in the cockpit, but without the spring effect of the needle.

You can convert value ranges to the value range you need. for example: values from -180 to 180, just divide the value by 180 and you get a range from -1 to 1 Other conversions need a more complex solution, but always a very easy maths operation . hope that help.

BadCRC, OK, i see what happens width your profile: For some reason, on the process of reset monitors, Helios changed all the bindings to the Monitor 6, and you are really using the monitor 5 for the profile. Take the profile, and open it width notepad++. make a replace all, changing Monitor 6 by Monitor 5, and all the bindings come back like magic! Test it, and lets us know how it goes ! umm everything looks correct, then. Be sure you got the focus on the game when you click the switches on the profile. You can also test the switches of the profile, opening a blank text file, give focus over the opened text and click on the profile buttons, usualy you see letters appears on the text. But deppends of the combination of keys.

Read the instructions, you need to assign several keys in your option/controls in the DCS. In my lasts profiles i add a modified defaul.lua for the key commands, but that one (p51) was the first one and there is not a default.lua, you need to add the key commands manually.

Ok, lets try to identify where the problem can be. 1- The additional panels need to show up when you click on the selection panel. Check in the profile editor, if the buttons of the selection panel lost their outputs when you do the arrangemend of panels in different monitors and save the new profile. Better if you send me your adjusted profile and i can take a look. 2- I checked the export.lua in the oficial game, and the beta, in 2 different computers and it works, so, please check the dcs.log to see if export.lua stoped for any reason. 3- Once in the cockpit and width the profile running, try to move the camera of the cockpit using the numeric pad keys, just to be sure you still got keyboard input in the game. If that the case try clicking some switches on the profile to verify the outputs from Helios works correct. If you dont have keyboard inputs, check on the profile, the IFF test switches, if any of then is in the upper position, just put it on the default position and try to move the camera again width the numeric pad. As i tell you before, Send me your adjusted profile and i can take a look.
