You completely glossed over my point. We are not discussing whether someone can have fun with a limited content E/A module. We are talking about pricing. Why should someone today, 8 months after release of an E/A module get the map cheaper than I did when I was marketed to get in early for the BEST price. This isn't even the first sale on this map. Why would I ever trust their early access pricing again?
-
The point is, the map has only been released for under a year of E/A I believe and it's already more than 50% off. The fact it's finally getting better just proves the point. Why pay early adopter price for a poor launch when you can wait a year and get a better version for 50% off? This is getting very frustrating. I expect deep discounts on older maps but not new maps that are still in E/A.

I feel the exact same thing is going to happen with my Afghanistan purchase that happened with my Kola purchase. I don't think it's even been a year and Kola (while still in E/A) has dropped over 50% That is really a slap in the face to those that get marketed that early adopters save more in E/A. It's obvious now that modules will be cheaper once it's actually better. It's becoming quite frustrating. That's why I'm not buying Iraq. I'll wait for a more fleshed out map and cheaper. No need for it now anyway.

Saying we're working on it and you will be happy with the results is not an update. The whole map was supposed to be completed by now as per their original FAQ. We are way behind schedule and we are getting next to no communication on it. Due to this, I didn't buy the Iraq map, which in all honesty I would have preferred. I'm not doing it anymore.

The two closest to the airport. They have clutter around them but I didn't see the sphinx either unless I missed it. I know it's not MSFS but if you are going to bother to say you updated the Pyramids, you would think you did all of them.
-
Why did they only update 2 of the pyramids? You would think the same skins could go on all of them wouldn't you? The others look like sand castles.
-
They claimed to have updated the Pyramids. I think they only did 2..lol. The rest still look like sand castles. Where bridges and roads meet still look funky as well. A whole year for an update?

So, after many attempts to figure this problem out, I think I have it sorted out and hope if anyone else has this issue they may have been doing the same thing. After the last time I did a repair, everything was back to normal and no graphical issues were happening for about a week. Suddenly the issue happened again and I believe I narrowed it down to what is causing the corruption of the graphic files. I realized that the issue would happen after I had been flying in MSFS 2020. It would not happen if I just directly went into MSFS but it would happen if I used a separate app called MSFS Map Enhancement. Trying to rack my brain about what had changed on my computer to keep causing this graphical corruption I realized that I downloaded this new app for MSFS roughly when my DCS issue started happening. This app allows you to load more updated Bing map data and also Google map data which makes the world much more up to date. I have no idea why this MSFS app would affect DCS but it appears to be the culprit. I tried several times loading into MSFS and then exiting and loading into DCS and there would be no problem but if I run the MSFS Map Enhancement app along with MSFS and then exit and enter DCS the graphical corruption will be back. End result, I removed the app. Unfortunate but I don't know why it's causing the conflict. It does like to play havoc with Microsoft defender. I hope this finally solves my issue and I hope if anyone else has used this app and had problems with DCS it will help them as well. Eagle Dynamics should make note of this for the future. Thanks for all the replies.

Northern Israel / Southern Lebanon detail removed
Nightstalker replied to Flying Toaster's topic in Bugs and Problems
After a YEAR with no updates to this map, they finally put one out and completely stay quiet on the fact they gave with one hand and took away the other. To be honest, I thought the northern part of the map was going to be getting MORE work as I felt it was the weakest part of the map and I enjoy flying in that area due to present conflict in the area. The Syria map already did a much better job of this area and I hoped the Sinai map would be improved here, not REMOVED. It's starting to become a real gamble investing in these maps lately. This needs to be resolved immediately or refunds need to be issued. I can't believe in all of the years I've been with DCS 2024 is the first year I actually asked for a refund and it may now be twice. Keeping this completely secret until customers "noticed" is just disgraceful.- 264 replies

That whole folder has an exception in my anitvirus. The next thing would be to do an exception for the whole saved games folder..lol Is there any chance a full uninstall and re-install of the whole sim might help? All I've done is do repairs. I just find it extremely odd that this only started happening since the Afghanistan map update. I've NEVER had this before the last few weeks. Suddenly it has happened 3 times. I do not have a VPN.

Well, it was fine for one day. I shut down the computer this morning due to a storm. When I restarted the computer and went into DCS, I was met again with this. I hope we can figure it out this time. I'm getting pretty frustrated with it. This has never happened in all of the years I've owned DCS until the Afghanistan patch. dcs.log

Sorry, I don't understand. I started the game, saw that it was messed up, exited and grabbed the file. Do you want me to fly around in a messed up game and then grab the file? The game is fixed again because each time I do a repair it fixes it. I just never know how long it will last. Is this the file? dcs.log
