This has been a known bug for a long, long, long, time in many various maps, especially for the A10C. Why is it that ED continues to ignore this serious and frustrating issue for such longest time ??

Table of Frequencies / Runway Lengths, Elevations
Avio replied to Avio's topic in DCS: Cold War Germany
Thanks for the pointer Rick. -
As said in title, is there a table listing the above info … ILS, TACAN, Runway details, etc. Would make the flying experience a lot more complete in this new map.

The pitch up in the F15E happens rarely and unpredictably, but the A10 one has been widely reported over the years and can be found online. By the way, there is a setting under Special that says something about turning on or off force sensing trim setting. It is on by default, i just turned it off now. Could that be a cause? What does it do? I had unknowningly had that turned on all those time with no issue, until only very recently that the pitch up started happening.

This eagle has been my all time *favorite*, just sad that development has to stop. What are the major features / systems that were supposed to be in the development pipeline, but have since went cold? What are the top priority items that you would have liked to see fixed or implemented ?

Already checked, no double binding. Been flying the eagle the whole year but inly just encountered this. The other aircraft with uncommanded pitch up is the A10, but that is a well known bug that went unfixed for all these years despite having been flagged up by many users over the years. For that the pitch up only happens mostly just when the A10 crosses the runway threshold during landing.

Absolutely positive no double binding. Nothing has changed all this while.

Been flying the eagle for a long while now with no issue, but i just encountered a sudden pitch up when on long final to land at Mariana map. The neutral position of stick sudden showed an extreme pull back resulting in an extreme nose-up, as if there was a max up trim. Pressing and holding down trim did nothing. I had to press and hold the Trim For Takeoff button for a period to re-centralise the stick for proper control. Had never encountered this issue before. Happened in a few flights, all done on Mariana map, at different locations. Anyone else seen this before?

Thanks for the link Default774

I should add that the only DCS add-on that does not show a pitch up when leveling from a turn is the MB-339, another of my favorite. Very well modelled. Which is why I was quite puzzled that real world jets seem to level off without pitching up, seemingly effortlessly. Along that same line of reasoning, one would expect the MB-339 to exhibit the same behaviour, but then that model doesn’t.

Just got back to flying the F16 again, after owning it since 2016 ! Am loving the new handling. Strange though, I fly with Warthog TM and found that with Force gradient ON at default full value settings, the jet control feels a lot more stable, yet fast if I wanted it (Zero curve setting). Whereas with that option off, some curve setting would be needed if control is to be precise enough. So which is right? ON or OFF for force gradient for a non FFB joystick.

I was thinking maybe upon leveling at 1g perhaps the follow-on fast buildup of speed might have created that bit of extra lift effecting the nose up.
-
I did ensure stick back pressure is neutralised when rolling back to level. Just can’t quite level off without pitching up. Anyone managed to do it?
-
In most fighters in DCS including F16, when rolling out from a constant altitude turn into level flight, the plane always ended up nose up between 5 to 10 degrees. Is this normal? In real world jets seen online, they all seem to roll out neatly without pitching the nose up. While in simulator we can exert a slight pitch down when leveling off, but the result isn’t always pretty. Is it easier to do in the real jets?

Following up on this post, may we know will we be getting an amended depression table in the manual ? Or a listing over here in this forum ? Thanks.
-
Thanks for pointing out. Not sure where else may we get the correct and usable depression table values, now that the hundredth number cannot be changed.
-
Saw on youtube that it could be set to the hundredths, maybe viewing could be done by camera shift.

Can the developer please response to this issue? This one seems definitely to be a bug.

Was doing random ILS at Sinai map, can’t quite remember which airfields now. Could be ILS issue there.

Just owned the F4 for a couple of days. Even with many years of simming all types of fighters, I have much difficulty doing even level turn in the F4. Anyone managed to do this consistently? Makes me wonder how the Thunder Birds did their formation flying.
-
On IL approach, it seems the glideslope indicator appears too high when nearer the airport. Anyone else notices this?

Bought the MB-339 last week and I'm loving it much. Noticed the Hundredth digit setting for the depression gun sight can only be set to max of 1, whereas the tenth and ones are able to go from 1 to 9. Can the developer please look into this? Thanks.

reported aircraft suddenly pitches up when crossing runway threshold
Avio replied to prof_laser's topic in Bugs and Problems
I opened this topic again as the previous one was locked. I raised this problem up to this forum years ago, had seen many others griped about this same issue, but years later now in version II the problem still remains (very frustrating). Here’s a just observed issue that may hopefully help narrow down possible causes. In Afghanistan map, whenever the A10 was loaded with weapons, this pitch up problem always happen when crossing threshold, like others reported. BUT when on empty load, NO pitch up was observed. Can someone try and see if you see this too? By the way, such problem also occurs in some other maps, but surprisingly, Sinai map seems to give no such problem to the A10. Is there somehow a map-dependant cause behind? *** Correction - Just discovered that Tel Nof in Sinai does have that issue at Rwy 36. Not sure any others have that problem, though so far quite many others on that map seem to behave well. -
OK great, now I'll have to search where is that switch in English.
