I support this. I think that's actually a general issue with the way the manual was made. It does not have the level of operational explanation a pilot would need. It'd be very nice to see those details added into our Mirage manual. As for suggestions for the manual: VTB should be a very in deph INS must have 100% of its functions explained and step by step lists There should be a clear note on every switch on the aircraft about its function in real life and whether it has a function in DCS or not. There are currently a lot of switches that are described but have no function and that is missleading for the user. HUD launch zones should be explained for all weapons available. Ill keep thinking more. Thanks for the work!

Yeap, thats what I saw. I chased a friend at the same speed at different distances (5nm to 15nm) and we changed our relative speed many times as well as prf and the radar always lost the contact at the same distance (11nm) regardless of prf, speed, or anything.

Ill upload one tonight. But everyone is free to check in the meantime, the results are clear for me.

There is. In the mirage it doesnt matter what prf you are in, the radar will see the space equally. In the f15 you must use it since it behaves so much different between prf. You lose and pick up targets accordingly. In the mirage you lose and pick up no mater the prf

Im saying that prf per se has no effect in the mirage, ill put a track tonight so you can see.

Im saying that low prf has no effect on the mirage but it does in the f15. Its actually quite noticeable.

Please dont get me wrong. Your work is beyond amazing and it is not your responsability to have a guide, you did it for the love of the sim. I am not unhappy with the guide, sorry if I said something different. I was just pointing up to the people that suggested the guide over the manual that it was outdated. Again pls dont get me wrong.

Thats not what im asking, I know that. I asked if the AA radar can show ground or other returns that are not targets. Nothing to do with an actual AG radar.

Well, its not a manual to begin with. But the document lacks operational information on every single system and it even has more than 20 sections with the title "Not available in Open Beta". The mirage is out of BETA! So I really dont think it was necessary to tell you this, dont know why you insist on arguing with us on every post about the mirage. Its getting old, and honestly quite annoying.

So the code now cannot give ground returns of AA radar??

Chuck's guide is outdated, doesnt even have waypoint offset information. The strange thing is that the unprofessionally made manual does have offset :huh:

As a helicopter and aircraft pilot, an operational manual is a must. Without it this is just a simcade module. An operational manual must be at your hands during all flights.

That would never happen if there was a proper manual. I dont have the time to look around for info, i paid and want a manual.

Chuck's guide have both of them described rather than "not implemented". Are we 100% sure they dont do anything?
