Yeah Ive seen this disk before :) It isnt in all the boxes i guess eventually they found out it wasnt supposed to be there. I believe its an error from Asus the disk should be with the Stiker Extreme Mobo as this is the one with i680 chipset. Either they made a typo or just intended to name the "striker" "commando" and the "commando", "striker" at some point :P The disk contains the drivers for the i680 chipset thats all.

Wow thats lame... Yes your totally right some ppl dont give a rats azz about the briefing or the server rules, but some do. And allowing something when you admit it being a cheat just because some ppl wont respect the rules is not the way to go man. At least dont allow it, thats like inviting ppl to use it. If you say in the briefing dont use this or that at least ppl who read it might maybe consider not doing it.

I wouldnt say we owe them, but they sure dont owe us anything. Theyve given us a great game so far. Anyways like I said if your not a Black Shark helicopter junkie dont worry about when it will release as it wont change much anything for the old flyables...

Yeah im pretty sure anything supports crossfire as long as you have 2 pci-e slots... Its Nvidia messing with use making us all buy theyr mobo's >.< Might just end up waiting for ATI's new cards anyway I hope they make us something as fast as the 8800GTX for the same price that would be saaweeeet

I dont know maybe your right but i definetly remember Nvidia saying SLI was only compatible with Nvidia chipsets for the moment as non-Nvidia motherboards didnt even come with SLI cables...nor do the cards the cable comes with the mobo only.

The only thing that bothers me is your mobo choice :( Why not get an EVGA or BFG with an Nvidia chipset ? Now youll have to change it if you ever plan on going SLI.

Have you thought about the fact that maybe they themselves dont know when it will be ready ? :) Anyways as im not a helicopter sim fan Im not completly on the edge to ear a release date... now when " LockOn:SuperHornet " comes out Ill be spamming threads like these every 2 hours :music_whistling:

You can search the internet there are a LOT of reviews out there comparing ati and nvidia cards. Honestly i dont think theres a big difference between the two unless you go to the extremem high end where at the moment nothing comes even close to a 8800gtx (price wise aswell :P) ...we will have to wait for ati's reply wich should come soon enough with theyr DX10 cards...

Im totaly with you but if im not mistaking from what i read the blinking doesnt have to be ultra fast to work. I think twice per second is enough to make it impossible for anyone to lock you outside of burn through range. The thing i dont like about the blinking is that it shouldnt make it impossible for you to lock or fire. No one as yet answered this question but in real life does an ECM make it completly impossible for an enemy to lock or launch on you ? I believe not it might make it harder or less reliable but not make you completly invulnerable to a shot. The fact that in Lomac blinking makes you invulnerable is simply a bug. As this bug was evidently not intended by the developers using it to ones advantage is of course an exploit. Like many said I believe the solution is to live with it till its fixed and play where it isnt allowed/used. Anyways if anyone has some knowledge on ECM and would like to answer my question I would be pleased :)

Sorry should have been more precise. I dont think IRL that the IRL ECM would make it impossible to lock IRL or fire IRL from greater distances else IRL no one would carry long or medium range missiles IRL.

Im not sure blinking the ECM in game gives the same result then the ECM IRL that blinks by itself... What would be the point of having long or medium range missiles if it was IMPOSSIBLE to ever get a lock ??? Trash the amraam and put 8 sidewinders on your Eagle :P

I understand that but wouldnt all the other aplications be shared on other cores leaving 1 core dedicated to Lomac hence making it run smoother ? Coz the quad core is pretty much the same price as a dual core x6800 so I figured might aswell get the quad..from the reviews I read it performs a lot better for multi-tasking applications. For example playing mmorpg's on 2 clients with comms...

What about quad core ? im thinking of buying a qx6700 ?

Looks like the middle is empty. Maybe for transport/lifting purposes ?
