Two Hornets of 441 "Silver Fox" Squadron, a single seater (number 775) in the foreground and a dual in the background, fly wingman to a Russian MiG 29 Fulcrum over the Canadian Rockies enroute to the Mig's first public appearance in North America during the Abbotsford Airshow in British Columbia in August of 1989. The Mig, which is about the same size as the Hornet, was one of two (the other was a dual) which performed a 10-12 minute demonstration each day of the airshow. During one of these daily shows Maj. Bob Wade became the first Westerner to fly a Mig-29 fighter when he was invited to take the front seat of the dual and copy the manoeuvres of Mikoyan test pilot Valery Menitsky in the back seat during the airshow display. Well canada had 2 wings in germany from 1983 to if im not mistaking 1991. Ill check it out and come back with the exact dates. <----- 3 squadrons from 1985 to 1993 :)

Aww damn i was having fun with my little propaganda >.< Your right its a visit of 2 mig-29 from russia in 1989 to an airshow in british columbia. first apperance in north america and a canadian pilot was the first "westerner" to be invited to fly one of the mig on a test run with a russain instructor.

OH that would explain a lot then... I still see the light around the dials tho just that now instead of being only the dials i get light "everywhere", not very "sneaky sneaky" for night covert ops...:joystick:

EscCtrl : I had the same problem just use the 1.6:1 versions (the first pack) and change the resolution of the pictures for 1024x1024. They will look stretched but when lockOn loads them they will look right. I might be completly off the point but how does a Bubble canopy help in fitting a pilot in the plane ? it still sits on the cockpit even if it wasnt bubbly the only thing it changes is that the pilot can tilt his/her head sideways to see further down ?

Now im new to flamming cliffs only a couple days... In 1.2 in the F-15 when it was dark and i was affraid i use to press "L" and the cockpit would come to life in a beautiful display of orange gauges. Now in 1.12a in the F15 when its dark and i get affraid i press "L" and i get a f------ dome light illuminating all the cockpit..is that normal ? Maybe its coz i got the lighting effects to max I'll try kicking it down a notch and see. <----Didnt help Other than that cant complain on FC i like the changes (Awacs isnt all seeing anymore :doh: ) but the realistic G effects are kinda hard to dogfight with, guess i need some time to get use to ;) .

Well 2560 x 1600 is a 1.6:1 ratio so you shoul be good with the first pack but for some reason my lock on wouldnt load correctly unless i gave it to it in 1:1 ratio. so i took the 1.6:1 ratio and slimmed them to 1:1 so they looked elongated... and lock on loaded them to 1.6:1 ratio itself, dunno why.

Suntrace1: Just use these pictures lock-on will stretch them to your native screen rez itself. (If not give me your e-mail ill send you a the same pack but in 1024X1024 wich will work) EscCtrl/Disso: Like SuperKungFu said you cant get these specific pictures in 4:3 as they are initially widescreen (unless you cut them up wich would mean the plane wont apear entirely). As for making a kinda slideshow that would be cool but the loading screens are in .dds format and i dont think it would be possible to make a slideshow.

Might be stupid but have you restarted your computer after installing ? I was too happy when I got my new monitor I just plugged it in and hit power :/ Windows wasnt giving me the native resolution in the control panel even when I unchecked the "Show only resolutions available to this monitor." box. When i restarted the new resolution was available no problem.
