Thanks guys. What Scream said sounds about right for the pitot tubes. For the gun heat I just assume it only needs to be used for cold temps or high altitude.

When is it appropriate to have the pitot heat and the gun heat ON? Always? Or are there negative consequences to having them always on?

Update... Just in case anyone else is having this problem, I haven't figured it out yet, but now I suspect Tacview or a combination of Tacview + FaceTrackNoIR may be causing it.

Unfortunately, I doubt that's the problem... Thanks for the response, but that can't be the problem for me since it only started happening when I began using FaceTrackNoIR. Also I have 8 gigs of ram rated for 1866 speed, and on top of that I have DCS on an SSD. :D Any other ideas from anyone? :confused:

I am successfully using the latest version of FaceTrackNoIR with a PS3 eye camera for headtracking, but I have come across an unusual problem. When I am flying a mission and decide to end it, after i click "Quit" Windows tells me DCS has crashed and logs the crash report. When it finishes logging or I stop it, DCS returns to the main menu correctly as if nothing bad even happened. What would cause this? :confused:

Sweet. Do you think they will discount the Mig-21 if it comes out before the Fall sale? It would still be very new at that point.

Does anyone know when the next sale will be? Maybe a Labor Day sale or the Fall sale? I wouldn't mind paying full price to support the devs, but some of us college kids need to save every penny. :D
