  1. Which is why playing on ACG server in P-51 is 3 times as hard as normal. Since everything happens on the deck. Just sayin' :D
  2. Me? No, but I might join the military in the future. :D Invisibull, is your server the "<51>EU Server"?
  3. There's two helpful things for spotting on that server. There is an AWACS that you can request a bogey dope from and if you need more help radar will show bogeys on the f10 map as long as they are above a certain altitude I think. I always look for the black smoke trails. :smartass: The TeamSpeak works and it's very helpful. It's on page 3 of the briefing. Oh and good to see a fellow upstate New Yorker!
  4. Yes, unless VEAO's P-40 comes out first.
  5. Convenience because I simply don't have the money for a complex setup.
  6. Well I guess disregard everything I said then. :megalol:
  7. I agree it's not ideal, but I'm satisfied with this as a temporary fix or step in the right direction, whatever you want to call it.
  8. This should really improve gameplay. Some weapons felt too weak. Also, the bigger explosions make up for the lack of fragmentation damage.
  9. Thanks guys. We'll it looks like I'm not missing anything. Too bad it's a death sentence in combat, it seems to happen to me fairly often.
  10. I'm interested in the fighterstick.
  11. Thanks, good to know
  12. One of my most common downfalls while dogfighting: the enemy gets a few hits on me, seemingly nothing too bad at first, but one of the rounds caused my automatic propeller governor to fail and now I'm down for. I don't really know what to do so I turn down the throttle and RPM lever to try to manage my propeller RPM's. I am now a sitting duck... Is there an emergency procedure, that I don't know about, that can remedy this?
  13. Oh, wow I'm surprised I didn't know there was a website. That probably would help. :D Yeah I'd love to fly with you, I'll PM you.
  14. Great idea, just imagine how awesome it'll be when Multicrew comes out!
  15. I totally agree. I love all the missions I've played so far (especially the 'convoy through the valley' one). My problem is that I go on at random times, so sometimes there are zero people on the server when I'm looking to fly. (I'm on the East Coast so it's not a time zone issue, just my schedule) I think all it would take to set up a quick unofficial-official event, is a post on this thread. No special mission would need to be made. I bet that would guarantee at least 10-15 people, probably more, being on the server at that specified time-date (preferably on the weekend). Just my thoughts. ;)
  16. Have you guys been hosting any special events lately? If so, when is the next one! :joystick:
  17. Oh, that's understandable then
  18. Nice flying, LOL that guy at 14:20 doesn't realize there's all this dogfighting happening next to him
  19. That's a reason to simulate it, though. Right? Since most people aren't going to be able to fly it in real life. I think that's part of the reason LOMAC evolved into DCS, because that's what the Devs want to do. In the end they're going to make what they enjoy, as long as they think it will be profitable.
  20. I think the C-101 is cool and not useless, but it does have less uses than more competitive aircraft. It is still relevant though.
  21. People get mad about statements like this... but I have to agree. Only 172 were made, it flew in the 50's and 60's, and isn't a good substitute for any version of the Bf 109. So... I guess it's fun to fly for a while but doesn't have a competitive place in any of our future war scenarios. Unless someone does something with colonial Africa. :D
  22. First off, I like threads like these. They're obviously thought provoking as shown by all the responses in a couple days. As for aircraft, it would make me mad if we received a prototype version of a cool plane instead of one of the production models. Here's an F-16!!!... just kidding its a YF-16 and it's missing a bunch of cool features! I would just think about what could have been every time I flew it. :D:D
  23. Oh, well then more people should use this. I find that the periodic updates on-screen are too few and far between.
  24. I'd like a way for mission editors to place a textbox or something that would display the currently active waypoint or target area. It could be accessed possibly through the briefing screen at any time, instead of periodic updates on screen. I remember in some games you could ask AWACS what the active waypoint was and the direction to it. I found it helpful. Of course a human AWACS would solve this too. ;)
