  1. Carriers are a thing of beauty...he's did a great job with this! Looks kinda neKKid though, no flight deck crew and no aircraft crowded in. I say that with good intent, I served aboard the Nimitz CVN-68 while I was in the navy in the early 80's...absolutely love the Tomcats, they ran the show back then. Just getting back into simming after a few years off. We did the Russian carrier ops in our maps in FC1, it was fun just playing around with it.
  2. Looks like I'm going to be buying FC3 tonight. First time back to FC since dcs started!
  3. GoT it ! Thanks a BUNCH guys! I'll go install it now... Works great! Now to profile de ol X52 the ONLY thing I didn't back up shiRt

  5. Yepper thanx, been gone for a long time and needed this also
  6. I quit flying until I picked up Lomac FC in early 2007. I played Nova Logic fps, mostly thru the years with my clan. None of them flew. For me gaming is about all the folks that play together and the camraderie. As long as that is there, tic tac toe is fun. Teamspeak is the glue that kept us together,.. not the games we played. I'm going to try ATF and Apache on virtualbox and see if they work.
  7. Yeah, I realize I R a renter, lol. I've spent a lot of good money on lawyers and been in a number of courtrooms, lol. I also understand the EULA on software and wind0ze. I have a lot of patience also, that is why I hadn't posted about it until now, after waiting since the 16th. If they had REPLIED to my email asking for more info instead of ignoring me, we wouldn't be having this conversation. I am well aware how far 15 dollars goes in this world. I feel LUCKY that they are still working with the community to keep this going. All that said, it would have been WISER in the beginning to use serial numbers for activation, in my opinion. That way you wouldn't be wasting time with this activation mess in the first place. I understand the desire to protect an investment, but there are better ways. I'm not whinin', I'm just sayin' :D And once again, thanks for the help guys! OH... 159tH, I'd keep my skeletons in the closet >big wink<
  8. My all time favorites, ATF and Apache, I used to fly 3 days straight regularly in 97, lol. Longbow and EuroFighter 2000, it had to be played in DOS. I loved apache, haven't flown a helo since then. Now I have DCS, gotta learn.
  9. I also bought DCS Black Shark when I FIRST began emailing for new keys on the 16th of this month. I figured I would fly both and get FC2.0 when IT came out. I regularly host servers with a multitude of custom maps set up for relatively easy gameplay with LOTS of action. Always a full house. Hence the TWO copies of lockon. I convinced 3 or 4 other people to buy LoMAC FC also. I very much enjoy the game and folks that fly with us. I do NOT enjoy being forced to BEG for codes to play a game I paid for. I've been around the sun a number of times and this is the first time I have ever had to ask to use something that is RIGHTFULLY mine. Had I of known it was going to be this big a hassle and this much time, I would have saved my money and stuck with another company that allowed you to use your game when YOU wanted to without begging. I shall remember the Circus Trainers response times in the future. CapnGimp ps I'm not chewing anyone but those in charge of choosing STARFORCE as a PREVENTION to LEGITIMATE owners. Tis PhUnny PSS Thanks EtherealN for your help and quick response. Wish more were like you.
  10. Not after the first round of emails. I sorta figured it was UNDERSTOOD that I bought it in good faith, I should be able to use it, lol. MY bad. I'll send more with reasons. THNX. The info enclosed in quotes is what I put in the email this time. Do you think it sufficient to prove I am not a thief? I also included my login, email, original transaction code, etc. "I bought the game in early 2007. I have reloaded numerous times on my various laptops/desktops and now I have a new motherboard in my desktop that I will be using to game with.. I am wanting to use the game again. I can't use it unless you give me a new activation code." I could reload a system and use the saved registry keys to get it to work. It worked on a laptop I flew with for a few years. Also my desktop used for gaming. Got it to work in xp, vista n win7., Now I have a new motherboard and no activation. Reg keys from different hardware will not work for obvious reasons.
  11. Ok, I have the downloaded version of Flaming Cliffs. I am TRYING to install on XPsp3 and need new activation codes. I've emailed a few times to each one, the LAST to lockon.ru was returned undeliverable. I have the GOLD boxed version running on Win7, after two failed attempts at loading, I succeeded the third time. Just boght DCS and have it loaded on WIN7 working fine. FSX works fine on 7 also. I LUVVZ me some Flight Sims, lol. :pilotfly: If I don't receive a response in a couple of days from either of the two, I'll come back and let ya know. I saw others doing the same thing and apparently it drew attention to the email boxes of the recipients. :music_whistling:
  12. ha thanks polecat been over a year since I flew loaded it on & last night n banging my head since off n on lol Ill do this way now
  13. Ok guys, I'm having trouble getting this script to work. I copy/pasted the short script in the readme.txt and modified the missions list part to fit my server. Changed the names of the files requested. QUESTION... I start hyperlobby, click into mission start and start the server. It goes to the screen where you click the button to OPEN mission file and stops. I open a mission manually and start the game, having to hit S to un-pause and then it runs... SO FAR, I did all the work, lol. Is this the way it's supposed to happen at startup? Or is it supposed to open the first map instead of me doing it? WILL it now takeover the server at time to start next mission? I'm running a map for about an hour now, maybe I'll answer my own question in a few. The SMART thing to do would have been set that first map to say 10 minutes, so I can see if it works, lol. If I'm missing something, chime in here and help a brother out. If it works, I'll post back later and say so. Thanks guys.
  14. I've always put mine at 85% on my server. Once in a great while, we'll have Mavs not want to lock. I always assumed it had been reset to low somehow. I'd shut down the server go in and move it back and forth 0-100, then set it at 85 again. I think I'll try some experimentation to see what's happening.
  15. We fly almost daily and make our own maps. It's mostly ground pounding with some A2A when we get squirrely, lol. We fly with tags also, look for CapnGimp(at the beach this weekend), BobC1, Jackal, Valion, Bestrokin and I'm fuzzy at the moment, hope I didn't leave any1 out. You're welcome to fly with us. Yeah, I'm sad, @ beach and on puter now, lol.
  16. Hey I like it, that's pretty cool. I agree that it breaks up the outline better than a lot of others patterns. Gonna download it now to my server and flight computer both, send it to my flying partners also. Thanks !
  17. I loaded Vista X64 and lockon FC 1.12b and it works fine for me. My onboard sound would not work in TeamSpeak so I installed an old Creative SB Live 5.1 to solve THAT problem. I flew FC off and on over a period of about 2 weeks on the X64 side (multi boot/OS system) and had no problems whatsoever. I also didn't see any differences performance-wise vs XP. Since all my other software is on xp side, I just fly with it. Before I loaded FC, I just googled/searched/read forums to see all the potential problems and paid MOST attention to those who were SUCCESSFUL in getting it to work. Like all else in the computer world, most of those who fail to get apps to work, it is something they overlook due to inexperience or lack of knowledge. So read those who post the RIGHT way to do it :D
  18. OK, just found this today. I'm sorta fuzzy headed-no sleep- related to WHY I was looking and found this :joystick: I'm trying to sign up with ya, download it for windows and use-offer input. Mapmaker here for my buddies, so this is a welcome piece of work you have here. Thanks a bunch! CapnGimp ps I will try it in Linux....just gotta load distros on my other puter, this one has probs with moboard and drivers in distros I like.
  19. Love it, thanks! What mods are you using for all that sharp scenery? You sold me on downloading them with this vid. Appreciate it if ya can list them.
  20. Thanks Boberro, I pretty much used only shilkas for aa on this one, with a bunch af armour, etc. I'm going to figure it out SOMETIME, lol. Thinking of adding a few at a time and checking its frame rate. That will be slow, but about the only way to see.
  21. I've made a few missions for ground attack primarily, for myself and a few folks that fly with me. I only use ground objects and ships... no ai aircraft. Anyway, I have made two maps so far that have had a problem with low frame rates for me as I host and play simultaneously. Even sitting still on the runway and viewing second person of others, the ground units or even zooming in and out on the map.... the screen lags/ is jerky with pauses. In fraps or the ingame fps counter, there are approximately 10 to 20fps, varying widely. I sent them to a couple of buddies and their computers maxed out @ 100% cpu usage and 1-5 fps. The other people in the map can fly no problem. I have a quadcore with 4GB ram and it runs about 27%cpu on these 2 maps, which is about the same on any other map I host. My main questions are these... Are their certain ground units that when placed in a map cause this? Or maybe too many of them in one grouping causes problems? Or is there a limitation of TOTAL number of ground units that can be placed? Or does placing units atop buildings cause problems? I've searched throughout this and a few other forums with no luck, figured I would post this here for starters. I wound up trying to remove units to solve the problem to no avail. I have saw large maps with HUGE numbers of units and MANY planes flying at same time, so I am doubting that there is a TOTAL unit limit. Anyway, thanks for the help.
  22. Good idea for mo i understand exactly what you are saying. My hearing being bad however, I find radio chatter (AWACS) annoying and I usually have it off. I talk with my buddies on teamspeak while we fly and concentrate hard to hear them. THAT is very useful and enlightening for situational awareness. We only fly custom maps though. Anyway....:joystick: It would be nice to have different 'freq/channels' for the different groups, such that you could choose those you wish to hear and avoid confusion, if you were going to make extensive use of this.
