  1. It's not like the Stennis in which you can see the Meatball at 3/4 mile In the Kutz it is at the last minute, usually before 1 second before I Trap
  2. Try a stable power setting 280 and lower (240 KMH) I use 89% No Meatball on the Kutz so it feels like "CaddyShack" I use the white circle aimpoint in DCS to find my landing spot And my last advice is any landing you can walk away from is a good landing Glad to hear the SU-33 is a challenge
  3. Hat Tip to Coxy 99 310 or below KMH is fast but there is a way to go slower There is a key binding to get 100% flaps To me it’s Lshift+F to get Landing Flaps Once you get Full Flaps try260 KMH to land Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Carrier Ops for the newbie Also shoot for 3 or 4 m/s as ideal. 5 m/s vvi is pushing it and more than 5 m/s you run the risk of the boat or Sea Flanker mad at you. Hope this helps Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. If you are new or an old hat here is some “gouge” that may help 1. Put the Kutz with some speed I use 53 KMH to land 2. Speedbrake out on final is your friend. As you become more advanced you can retract it if you want. 3. 89% on the RPM is a good wag on final 4. 300 KMH or below is good for carrier landing 5. Aim point is the ILS data at 310 KMH and the last of HUD and the OLS you can see below 310 Hope this helps Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I’m not technologically savvy Is the A10 stick/ cougar advanced joystick an FFB or a regular stick Cheers, Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Nothing different Just personal preference Cheers, Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Took out the dead zone to 0 and No curves in the Pitch Axis (Elevator axis) And my Flanker is a warplane possessed! I have trim authority again but a bit touchy in pitch at first for landing but got used to it Awesome plane Too bad I was fighting the FCS all the time for a year Thank you for the advice Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. For giggles my dead zone is 5 and the elevator axis is 30 Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I got an old FFB stick. That is why I have trim authority on Su-33 And the Flanker feels limited. Hopefully fixed soon now if the stuttering in the Persian Gulf is fixed that will be great But I can fly and fight with an 800 KMH restriction for the flanker Thank you for the info Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I noticed that 800 KMH true at any altitude that I hit the limit of elevator down trim Is that a limit of the sim or the Flanker? Cheers, Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. What is the max landing VVI in 2.5.1? I can land at a max of 7 m/s It’s not pretty but it hasn’t blown up with a 4 wire trap Cheers, Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Right now the T90 will work but anything else in default mode won’t still figuring it out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I assume the T-90 is the commander’s tank for this scenario Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. My apologies The techniques above is for the DCS default No scripts to download Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Almost forgot this works for DCS 1.5.8 and 2.2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Here’s what works on my system for GBU-12/16 Practice 1) Target 1 T-90 MBT Note more than one target will confuse the JTAC it may get fixed on subsequent updates 2) JTAC make it Infantry with M4 make it Laser designation I have found buddy lasing works on the harrier can’t figure out how the harrier self designates (probably an early release limitation ) 3) make sure JTAC is immortal, invisible, and lasing the right group There are plenty of videos and forum posts on JTAC procedures and switchology but these 3 Things are important if you want the harrier to drop consistently with GBU’s Cheers, Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I made my Harrier in the skin of a Yak38 forger because it’s fun launching off the ski ramp of the Kutznetsov. [emoji2][emoji2] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks I’ll read the manual how to employ the LGBs The LSTs will cower in fear Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. DCS 2.2 and the Normandy Map is a good area to learn the Harrier Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. What are the weapons clear out of the barn in the harrier early release version? Besides the MK82 series, Rockets, Gun, Sidewinder and SideArm what other goodies are out there? Still trying to perfect my RL as I progress to VL Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. That’s all up to the flight simmer so you are going to get infinite answers on this. I’m a fixed wing tricycle or bicycle type of guy. My personal faves as of now is as follows 1) My first choice is the harrier because it is a lot of fun right now even it is an early release 2) the new release SU33 because I’m prepping to be good at carrier ops for the Hornet or Tomcat 3) L39C because it is unique to fly well Hope this helps Cheers Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I usually fly around 270-280 on approach Practice makes perfect Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. My apologies for not being clear Aimpoint control is still important I finally figured out what the big white circle across the 2nd wire from the stern It’s a giant aimpoint in the last seconds before you trap Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Which wire do you strive for in the Su-33? What does the white circle do? I figured a rough aimpoint with the ils mode on. 310+ KMH is the middle of the upside down bank indicator. 290-310 KMH is the middle point between the arc of the bank indicator and the ILS Line and 290 KMH and below is the line and below I’m an equal opportunity wire catcher. I catch any wire that can stop me. Wishing for a flight path marker in the MiG29K or the J-15. Cheers, Lucky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
