  1. Hello everybody , - i use FFB(sidewinder2 ) stick for Helicopters (great realistic trimmer fonction ) and Warthog for jets the need for DMS TMS etc etc... - Since the last update my the FFB effects are always on even if i check/ uncheck FFB in the option menu. So i have to unplug the FFB2 when i us jet cause i can t trim them anymore due to the triming is related FFB stick. I did change the value to False in option config ( my saved game ) ... No effect . That is not a big deal but plug or unplug controler is not very practical . Thanks for the help !
  2. Thank very much to all the team for the FM update !!
  3. You are right for the european airbus versus US philosophy , i know a pilot ritired from ALAT and i asked him for trying the sim i think we will have a more precise answer as i never flew the gazelle so i can t realy Tell .For the weapon perspective he was very impressed when i did described the weapon system( he told me "that must be a serious simulator " ... There was another post , a professionnal pilot talk about the SAS and told that it was an assistance, but not so powerfull and did not transform the helicopter into a drone ... what i can Tell even if it is not the subject is that the behaviour of the huey ( as a bipale helicocpter )is realy realy accurate and we are very lucky to have such a great sim like dcs world !
  4. "you cannot yank this around like the UH-1 or the MI-8. It is to lite and just does not have enough mass to develop any momentum, so very small inputs and wait for the change to " As i am PLH i fly mostly R22 , once Hugues 500 and 206 and i can assure you that r22 for exemple is very light but follow the turn gently with a little bit of rudder use like the huey or MI8 in dcs . So nothing to do with with the mass or momentum from my point of view.. it s like the FM of the gazelle behave like an rc helicopter with an headlock gyro that is why she goes up when you turn unless you apply the perfect rudder with the perfect Bank angle ... sas is to powerfull for exemple in every helicopter when you put the collective down you Always have a the nose who goes down ( and brutal left or right rudder to apply) ... Not whith the gazelle even a tendency.. So for me we have to wait for FM to be tuned a little bit and fly the gazelle ( wich have a tremendous cockpit ambiance ) like an rc helicopter ;) ..
  5. Just to thank the team for the modifications in the FM witch is from my point of view realy nice !! Quick adjustment have been made and it seems that you have read and listen to us ! Sorry ... I have to go to fly ( virtualy ) ;) .
  6. OK after fixing the force feedback pb i had ( no more centering or FFb effects ) with a little sofware called "simFFB" flying one hour with my extended sidewinder FFB (trimer works !!) i must admit the i have a great feeling !! almost in love ;) ... This little sofware saved my life and for thoses who need this here is the link to the post and the file : http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1628706&postcount=43 Thanks polyshop !
  7. +1Focha again , As a PPLH i fly r 22 almost and one time a hugues 500 and 206 .. Flight dynamics : -the great difficulty to do a coordonate level flight turn( even under 30 degree bank angle ) almost like if it was an head lock rc helicopter(my feeling) .. and no nose down when you pull down the collective ..even a little tendency :) . the need of the collective rather than or in conjuction with cyclic to avoid collision with the ground at cruise speed after a dive and the sensation to have an enormous inertia when changing from a dive to level flight . It is like there was a native very powerfull SAS ( even if you turn AP off ). Waiting for the flight model to be tune i am shure that there will be many improvement after all this is a beta version ! The ambiance , the sound are awsome !!! and it just need a leetle something to be perfect ! A little videao talks better than every thing : just watch how light she seems to be ( ok one pilot only but ) not as stable as in the sim !Poor quality but interesting [ame] [/ame]
  8. I totally agree with you 0xDEADBEEF ! i fly helicopter in RL , r22 hugues 500 ( but never the Gazelle ) and am a little bit confused about the physic of the gazelle .. -i think it is almost due to the SAS . If you get to a certain speed the behaviour is like a remote rc helicopter with a "head lock" , when you try to trun( in level flight ), even a 30 degree bank angle turn , without rudder coordination you will just pitch in a dangerous up attitude .In my RL experience ( on bipale helo ) you must use the antitorque but just a little and the tail follow (until a certain banking angle off corse ). -When you pitch down without touching the collective the inertia seems enormous so to recover in a level flight figure that iusing generaly the colective to maintain my low level flight at high speed because the cyclic will be useless . i don t know if it is due to the tripale rotor but it s an interresting new way to fly .This bird is very stable and you almost fly her with the trim . To finish i didn t manage to go in the Vortex ( i didn t try tail wind and a medium vario ) but the collective power seems limitless .
  9. Hello everybody , thx all the team for this tremendous work ! I saw in the FAQ that the force feedback "won t be fully implemented yet" ..aparently i do not have any force feedback effect at all even return to center so i play with my warthog instead of the sidewinder FFB2 so is that normal for the moment ?
  10. Ok pixel496 ! Thx anyway for this great and unique scenario , i will wait !
  11. General helicopter and open beta dcs 1.5 problem Hello every body ! I enjoy and play very often this mission for a long time now. the problem is with open beta 1.5 , no access to the cargo menu in the radio anymore .. I had to go to the mission editor to add new cargo but they don t show randomly anymore .. Problem with the script ? If someone has an idea i am very interested since i realy like the open beta 1.5. Thx
  12. Hello again for information my version of CLOD is the last ATAG version and yes in this version with the spit if you pull hard back at low speed with a little bit rudder you enter a spin for shure easier on right side . I will try this evening to enter a spin with the 109 as describ with full power with right rudder . When some of you explain that you can make 10 turn si i am realy thinking that i have not the same version of the game .. But it s the last update . I have the sensation of an arcade game exept take off and landings ...
  13. I agree with kwiatek , the spin caracteristic must be a little off in dcs . Even with LE slat no aircraft can t spin unless there are protections like in Airbus ;) . The tf 51 has the same behaviour problem from my point off view (no LE slates) but same easy spin recovery and no Way to make more than one spin turn. My point was just to share my feelings . When you re dogfighting online the part of difficulty is made by the behaviour of the Aircraft at the limit of her fly caracteristic . I must be a little bit fussy but whith such a tremendous work they can push the limit a little bit far :) Thx for responding guys!
  14. Hello , Firstable thank all the team for this work : -engine management -take offs and landings so realistic and fun for a tail dragger experience with the extrem rudder use !! realy challenging with a 20 knots cross wind to! - 3 D model beautifull Problem now : 1)At low speed high angle of attack the stall is sooo stable you just fell gently out of the sky and recover easily 2) when the stall begin , kick right rudder and continue pulling the stick back hard it s almost impossible do make more than one spin turn ...the airplane just gently stabilize himself again .. 3)same with the TF51 4)same with the accelerate spin ( or snap roll depend of the indicated speedand the use of the rudder ) , just a quarter of a roll and stop!!.. I precise that i am both pilot airplane and helicopter and i did practice aerobatic on cap 10 and pitts s2B (just to say that i know what is the behaviour and the instability of a low speed high angle of attack airplane) where is the problem ? For exemple CLOD have way much more realistic flight model for spin , stall ..from my point of view . i practice simulation for a long time and all my setting are on simulation .. Was the real BF 109 so stable that it was almost impossible to enter a spin ..not shure... I must be missing somethingin the game settings .If some cleaver brain can help ..thx
  15. That works ! Thks again !! The only things ( apparently there is no solution ) is to match the position of the physical switch from the controller with the virtual one from the sim ( in my case Huey) before or during the flight (using pause :)), that is not a big deal anyway ! Merci Beaucoup
  16. Thank you for responding , i am not at all familiar with .lua so if i understand what you say ( hope so ) , the method is : - apply the mod otherwise copy / past the Data.lua in Scripts\Input\. wich allow modification to be done and accepted directly in diff.lua. -modified throttle warthog diff.lua with vu , vd , etc.. . And that ' s all ? hope that will work, i will try this this evening .
  17. hello , i tried yesterday to add a on and off switch for the Battery "on off" on my Warthog throttle in place of the APU switch..Button number 25 . I had "u3016 "and "vu1" at the end of the line concerned in diff.lua of user\aved games\etc.. That seemd to be simple as this is a 2 way switch .. no results at all :( .in game i had to reassign th 25 BTN. Do i miss something ? Has someone created .lua editor to configure on and off switches ? Need help because i am planing to build panels for the huey and the first step to do this is to understand how to turn on and off switch . Thx helping ..
