I got a message saying that your website is not configured correctly, and advising me to back out. ???

All/any mods. I haven't seen many read me's on how to install.
-
Very impressive effects. I'm looking forward to this. Why are the Ju-88's night fighters, though?

Let's see, I have tried putting mods in cockpits, liveries, sounds, terrains, you name it. In Bazar, Mods, _Mods, JSGME, Coremods, you name it. I have tried Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World, Users/User/Saved Games/DCS. Nothing works to get them into the game, and the creators of the mods almost never give directions. When they do, the directions don't work. End of rant. Could someone please create a "dummies guide" for installing different types of mods that an old guy (72+) can understand? Thanks in advance.

Nothing seems to work for the F-86. I still have to turn off FFB. The Mustang, Dora, and 109K do work, though, with FFB on. One thing about the 109 is, elevator trim is either full down for level flight, and then adjustable up from there. Crazy stuff.
-
I use the hat switch, elevator trim up and trim down. Same hat switch for roll, but left and right. When FFB is off, trim works, trim button in cockpit moves, as does the stick. I'll try the invert axis idea. But, why on earth would DCS want you to do that without warning people? Totally counter intuitive. Maybe it's just a Sidewinder2 thing. Thanks for your patience,

That's the problem. When it is off, I have elevator trim. Turn it on, and trim doesn't work.
-
Unfortunately, it didn't help. Do you see anything wrong or strange with the other settings I have? I would like to see what settings some other people are using, that don't have this problem. Thanks, badfinger

Weta, I'll have to wait until Friday. But, thanks. I would love to get this fixed. badfinger

The only way I (and, I'm sure, others) can get trim to work is to turn off FFB. Why is that, and is a solution being developed? I use the Sidewlnder2. Thanks

I might add that the book is free. Google: In Pursuit pdf

When we say trim is working or not working, under what conditions are we referring to? Instant missions, or some other? I haven't gotten beyond instant missions, yet. I'm just learning. So, it could be that, in say MP, it works fine. "Works fine for me" doesn't tell us a lot. Could all of the people in this thread please be specific about what they mean? If we have a bug, it should be fixed. If it is just instant missions I, for one, would like to know so I can get on with flying the F-86. Thanks, badfinger

How do we review the gun camera footage? Where is it saved to? Thanks, badfinger

Post script: I deleted everything and re-installed. Still no elevator trim. Hat switch on stick does move, though.

This has been fixed. Delete and re-download worked. Thanks for the assist.

I have the elevator trim (and the rudder trim) set for the grip. However, elevator trim don't work, and the rudder trim seems to work with the assignments I set for the elevator. I use a Sidewinder 2 and the hat switch. In assigning the hat switch, it seems to me that pushing on the switch should be for nose down, and pulling back for nose up. This is exactly the opposite of the way they show up in the controls section. Of course, that matters little, if the elevator trim isn't working at all. It seems to me it did in the past.

yes. I do.

OK. Here is what I found out. After loading the mission, and clicking "Fly", I again saw the map, but got out of that by hitting "Escape". This gave me a close up of the grass at the airfield. After zooming out, I could see the airfield, and rotate the view. F1 did not work, but F2 and F3 did. I had no control of the a/c, and could only watch the taxi, take-off, and landing as a spectator. I then exited, and went to the your second step and found the 109 had been activated. It asked me if I wanted to activate again and, just to be safe, I said "Yes". This made no difference, when I went back to your mission or when I tried the 109 again in "Instant Action". I tried other a/c I have in "Instant Action" and "Mission", and found no problems with them, at all. The three glaring problems I see are: F1 does not work, I have no control, even in F2 and F3 for the 109, and hitting "Fly" doesn't take me to inside the cockpit, but to the map. BTW, when I am in the map, I can see a/c icons moving. So, the mission is running, just without me.

F2 and F3 are working, but F1 isn't.
