  1. Andre, So far, so good. I have tried what you suggested with the Spitfire and P-51. Hope it also works for Jasonstory44. Thanks, again
  2. Andre, I will also try that as soon as I can. Thanks,
  3. Same problem I am having. Are there to be more of these reports in the future, I wonder?
  4. F410, You have here a guy who doesn't know how to export settings, or even what settings to export, or reset a database. Could I ask (beg) for some steps to follow, in order to do what you recommend? I had no problems with SSA, until the Spitfire came along. Now, I get that error message no matter what plane I fly, even when SSA is not on. Thanks,
  5. Combinng MOD folders Can I put all of my, say Spitfire JSGME mods, all in one folder in my _MODs folder? Instead of having them listed separately?
  6. Sidewinder 2 FFB + Gametrix 908 Two Sidewinder spares, just in case. :)
  7. I'm getting this error message, when I try to use SSA with the Spitfire. What should I do? Or, what am I doing that I shouldn't? Attached Thumbnails
  8. Whatever the latest one is. I reloaded after the first time I had this problem, but it didn't help. Enjoy the vacation. Thanks
  9. I'm getting this error message, when I try to use SSA with the Spitfire. What should I do? Or, what am I doing that I shouldn't?
  10. Sorry. I have no idea what you wrote means.
  11. I d/l the file, and the canopy looks much better. In certain light conditions, you will see scratches, which is just the way it should be. Good job. Thanks
  12. Could I get a little more info on hardware not up to snuff, and spikey pedals? Thanks
  13. I just read another thread about the brakes. And, it gave me the idea of assigning them to the Mixture control on my throttle quadrant. I'm not using that control, anyway, and it is right next to the throttle and prop controls. I used a 5 dead zone and a 40 curve. I end up with precise control of the brakes. I haven't tried a take off or landing, yet. But, it's looking good. Now, if they would just fix that slooooow elevator trim control.
  14. A little bit of time in a Cessna 185, a Luscombe, and a Citabria, But it just stands to reason that the brakes should be as you and I described.
  15. I think it is being worked on. The developer, Andre, was on vacation until Jan 9th, so he hasn't had much time since then to now. Yes, most of the other modules are supported.
  16. I wanted a dead zone so the application of braking would not be instantaneous. Same for the curve. I wanted braking to be gradual.
  17. I have a Gametrix seat, but it doesn't work with the Spitfire, yet.
  18. Well, I assigned the brakes to the toe brake on my left rudder pedal. You can only assign them to "Wheel Brakes Analog". After adjusting the dead zone to 10 and the curve to 40, I find that doesn't do any good. You have three positions for the brakes: off, half, and full. So, you end up with no fine control of the brakes. I think, somehow some way, feedback is required, to let you know how much braking force you have input. All our lives, we have associated braking with feedback from our foot or hand. So, its kind of hard to suddenly start trusting a button. I don't know what the solution is.
  19. Why couldn't DCS just allow us to assign the brake lever on the stick to the toe brake on a rudder pedal? I, for one, would have a much better idea as to how much braking I was using. I know it would not be "Historically Accurate", but as long as we are able to assign a button on a HOTAS to some panel switch/button/cover/etc in a WWII airplane, or using a mouse click, neither of which is "HA" either, what's the difference?
  20. I think it was Stalin who once said. "Quantity has a quality all it's own".
  21. Great idea. There is one such for CloD called Virtual Cockpit. It's just the sort of thing we need for the DCS Spit.
  22. Too bad you moved. We coulda had a swingin' time. :)
  23. The club I belonged to was way out west of Houston proper. It took me 90 min to drive there. By the time an airliner came near us, the were at 10-12000 feet. Do I understand you right? The museum in Galveston is moving to Ellington? That's 10 min north of me. I live in League City. Speaking of weather, my goal is to never live north of I-10 again. Thanks
  24. There was a time when I worked at Cessna. Got to do a lot of delivery flights on the weekends. I used to belong to one of the glider clubs here in Houston. During that time, I owned a Phoebus B1, and then a Libelle201B. Wish I still had that one. :) Cheers
  25. Which is what my CFI taught me to do, for the very same reason. I have found it works great in CloD and DCS, with the exception of the DCS Spitfire, which I haven't flown enough to decide. In R/L, I started the flaps up as I flared. The electric drive motor was just at the right speed to slowly decrease lift, and eliminate any tendency to balloon. BTW, I have flown just about everything Cessna makes, with the exception of the jets and the crop dusters.
