if the module will be delayed for a while, any chance that the developers can offer the module as a standalone download while we wait just like what happened with the Hawk module (hawk module was meant to be released end of nov 2014 but got dragged out because of some licence management software integration issues, but the developers let us fly the module anyway)?

looking forward to hitting that button today:pilotfly:.

im with you here!

Hi, i have a question, i know the latest open beta version is to support the c-101 module. But how does anyone test the open beta properly if you can't even purchase the module yet? is the open beta then really only for the Developers and ED Testers in this case?
-
Hi, Just a personal request that you should update your Forum rules and make it a bit more clear exactly what and what cannot be posted. I seem to get a lot of my posts deleted for posts that seem to fall into Rule 1.3 even though my posts don't relate to the rule at all. Maybe its been lost in translation or something?

Hello if i read it right, can i unbind all my licences and gift or sell it to another user? I would like to get rid of some of my modules. is this allowed and possible?
-
Hi thanks for a dcs ipad app. was wondering if we get the manuals in colour for free when we purchase a module? Or will it be an extra purchase on top of the purchased module?
-
so is it correct that the fw190 is now coming out of beta with this release? so it was just the manuals and addition of a campaign that kept it in beta?

:megalol: i would take the feedback (negative etc) as an opportunity to get external (paying customers) feedback to improve the game and to show all comments are welcome. not to just keep telling people to fly longer than 5 mins the submit a bug report. maybe you are a tester for this module and take it personally that some things aren't right? either way, after sitting in the mig-21 cockpit (best module ever made  ) i don't think ill ever fly anything else!

love that word:megalol:

so going by the newsletter it really sounded like ED wanted to release DCS 2.0 in November along with all the new modules. either that or the fact the newsletter isn't oxford english grammar :smartass:
-
ok cool thanks. will check it out
-
where? whats it named as?
-
yes true but this is a closed system and does not run out after 20-30mins of use. its also used to transfer heat to the fuel system etc.
-
what about the nations that still use the mig-21bis. im guessing the radar systems have all been updated to something more modern?
-
ok so searching for active hostiles always comes from ground radar or airborne radar (not mig21bis). So patrolling is pretty useless unless its visual or from mission control so to speak.
-
can you bind the opening of the cap to a joystick? i got the release button mapped but i need to workout how to open the cap first using the hotas
-
Hi, Just wondering why this mig-21bis radar was designed to be cooled by alcohol. Wouldn't it be better to use some sought of radiator/ram air cooling system etc? 20 something minutes of on time kinda hurts, saying that the fuel range hurts also

im just wondering how dirty/scratched the canopy really was/is in real life. im sure they cleaned and swapped them out for new ones. just because the aircraft was first made 50 or so years ago doesn't mean the canopy glass has to look that old also. its just like leaving the original tyres on the aircraft throughout its service life - doesn't happen.

guessing the windows OS e.g win7 aero interface?

Since upgrade #3 the landing and takeoff was more difficult, normal ?
Aeons replied to Skulleader's topic in MiG-21Bis
im guessing different load outs and take-off run distance/speeds can make it seem different. question: are all the runways in DCS modelled exactly the same as each other? e.g. flat, smoothness with no curvature? btw, I jumped into the A-10C last night and the cockpit graphics felt like it was 20 years old compared to the Mig-21bis (computer modelling terms). Leatherneck really did a great job on the Mig-21bis cockpit, feels and looks greats to fly. after looking at the preview pics (still not finished work of course),the SU-27 flanker that will soon be released, that cockpit detail also looks plain and old compared to the mig-21bis cockpit!! :joystick: -

Take off and landing seem to not have changed for me. The same old bumpy ride down the tarmac. Btw did the alpha testers etc actually simulate take offs in this thing? It's crazy, feels like rally car driving. -
yer I used it as a attitude hold before the patch also and worked great but now its pretty useless.
-
yer i guess most of the real pilots are flying real aircraft or x-plane. but i don't mind a bit of combat with DCS still
