The Viper brakes are feeling like they are actually not breaking on landing. On Taxi they are also "weak" compared to other airplanes. I do not know if this is realistic. I've overshoot the runway many times in MP with the DCS Viper. I've flown a lot of BMS in the last months, maybe you tell me BMS is unrealistic in it's groundhandling (what is true). But on landing the brakes are in comparsion much more active then in DCS. As said above - even with full brakes applied it feels like nothing is actually happening on landing.

Is their any option in DCS to actually set the AB detent position on the Warthog like it is in BMS / Falcon?

Thanks for the update! Really looking forward to see all of this happen! I just have one question - will there ever be the announced Sound for the MiG21? I know it is still beta, but you told us you will implement the sound with the new DCS Soundengine in EDGE. Do you wait until the product is merged with 2.5?

Will there be ever a patch including this? I know I can write this commands with the guides in the forum myself, but this are still standard issues which should be solved by LNS. The module is great but still not finished. Also still standard DCS Engine sound.

How can some people be really so ignorant and do not "allow" the simplified (arcade) IFF to be implemented? Just because you are not flying online? IFF is very very important for online missions and especially for a dogfight. We are three-four people at the evening at our TS server, just want to enjoy a round of DCS MP (104th or another server) - so we need the IFF (arcade) system. And about FC3 Modules...Su-27, MiG 29, F-15C etc...maybe some people should get in mind that this (besides the M-2000C) are the only modern Fighter-Jets in DCS and this is WHY people like to play them online...hm? Without a question a full modeled IFF and a full functioning AWACS would be nice...but the short term solution is the simplified (arcade) IFF System - thats it and nothing else!

Hi folks, just installed the Mirage 2000. Now I was doing my standard config as I always do and have laid the Flaps Landing Pos and Flaps Up on two different buttons as well as Landing Gear Down and Up. However, the single switch (standard G Button) does work, even on the stick, but the single funtions (each function indivdually) does not. Anyone else having this or is it a bug?

Run CMD Change directory to your DCS BETA Installation "bin" folder e.g. mine is located in H:\DCS World Beta\bin - surely you must use the path of your beta installation, wherever it is. So you type in the CMD prompt: H:then cd \DCS World Beta\binthen you start the Updater and install the Module you want, e.g. for FC3 DCS_Updater.exe install FC3This will start the DCS Updater and it install the seperate modules you choose from the list provided in the DCS Updater Tutorial. Just replace FC3 with someting else like A-10C etc.

Worked for me too! Thank you very much! You have to run the updater in the BETA Folder, not your regular DCS installation. For me the update copied some files from the original installation of the latest stable release and then downloaded some additional files. For e.g. for FC3 about 250MB and for the MIG21 about 95MB.

Well I checked my install, all modules are in the aircraft folder, but also not showing up in the menu as symbol. Don't know. So let's wait and enjoy with Su 25 or TF-51

Man könnte sich für die Zukunft aber einfach mal angewöhnen die Leute nicht noch unruhiger zu machen als sie eh schon sind. Edge wird ewig verschoben, vor einigen Wochen dann die Entscheidung es kommt als 1.5 und 2.0 wirds dann mit NTTR Map. Wir kriegen seit nem guten Jahr dauernd Videos mit Edge vor die Nase geknallt, von Screenshots ganz zu schweigen. Dann heißt es im September und siehe da am 29.09 taucht auch noch der Changelog auf....hätten Sie sich das posten vom Changelog nicht einfach sparen können wenn Sie noch nicht fertig sind? Ja mich nervt es auch! Es geht nicht darum, dass ich "schlechte Qualität" oder ein "Rush Release" haben möchte, aber nach dem ewigen hin und her (jedes mal) sollten die Herren vielleicht mal lernen sich da etwas zurück zu nehmen. Man kommt sich ja schon blöde vor, ewig gibts Videos und wenn es veröffentlicht werden soll gibts dann plötzlich Probleme an der und dieser und jener Stelle...

Well I can't remember that they ever had a new plane in the Patch-Notes, besides the HAWK because this was available through the VAEO Website before it was official in the game through the client installation. So don't worry, they said with 1.5 and I think it will be in it!

You can just install the Beta Client, there will be an update for the Beta Client later which you can just install via the Update tool.

Well at the moment I'm trying to have my first hours with the MiG 21, but this also drives me crazy. Especially "normal" operations like flaps, gears etc. I'm using the X55 so I have enough switches especially on my Throttle to be mapped but for some standard things (e.g. airbrakes, gears etc.) I have to use two buttons, really? Problem is that I'm trying to have a "standard" layout of the main switches, which I have for all of the planes. I know this can be changed in the files itself but...well yes, please do a patch for that. The MiG 21 is the highest quality Add-On we've seen so far, so please LSN finish it also in this subjects.

I'd used my X-45 for more then ten years. When I got more deep into Cliffs of Dover and DCS by last summer I bought the X55. I'm totally happy with the stick and can not confirm any problems, besides using and USB hub with external power plug as I had ghosting buttons without the extra power on my USB 2.0 ports. I really enjoy this HOTAS System.

Just go to your start menu DCS Folder and select DCS World repair. In Windows 8 you find it in the Apps page or via Search with Win + Q

As said - even FC3 has now EFM (expect two planes which will follow). Personally I would even buy an F-16 / F-18 or something with no clickpit but EFM (FC3 Standard). But for all those new Modules (which also cost 40-50$) the EFM Standard is a must! ED has established a very high standard for DCS and I think that we all want that this Standard will be hold. We "fought" all the years for the EFM Models for FC and I think we are all happy with this. So starting with SFM at this point again just doesn't make any sense (except for Beta release) ;)
