  1. I have it and am using it with the T-50CM2 base. The VFX is very nice. The pickle does have a slight wiggle and the weapon selector takes some getting used to but this isn't a minus for me just a new experience. The grip is plastic instead of metal and this also just takes some getting used to as the momentum is less than the warthog. However, the T-50CM2 is excellent at setting up tensions and center so, once dialed in, the weight is not noticed but the grip does get warmer from use than the metal - sweaty as is not as cold as metal Trigger detent is less than warthog but fine also. The paddle is considerably longer than the warthog. The locking twist is achieved by using an allen wrench and goes in much farther than you might think - keep trying to twist as you're tightening. Shipping was a monster (74E for stick, base and hardware) and your card company will probably hit you with a $20 international charge. There was a discount for buying the stick with the base. The base is the finest I have ever used. I switch between the warthog, F/A-18 & F-14 grips with relative ease. Just a quick axis calibration and profile load. With this base I have the stick with progressively hard pull which makes it excellent for knowing how hard to pull the 14 without breaking anything. Light center of roll for easy minute control movements and crisp hard aileron rolls. The combination is just amazing. If the VFX was metal I would like it more but as is I love it. I'm at the point now I won't buy an aircraft if it doesn't have a grip out there. The familiarity is over the top for me. Virpil is not cheap and shipping isn't either but I can't imagine going back. I went with mounting hardware for a center stick lowered to just above my chair and side mount throttle also Virpil. Figured if I'm paying 74E shipping might as well get everything I needed. Software now has tutorials on YouTube. PS dealing with Virpil has been professional and my 1st order took a bit due to my card holding the purchase but the second order was in Upstate NY in very fast time. Verify with your card they have disbursed the funds!
  2. While in landing mode I notice the flight path marker all over the place. Sometimes off to the left or right when no rudder inputs or wind in mission. Also, it will be above the horizon while the altitude is dropping. I have also noticed the HUD not being centered on the roll plane. IE showing a 5-10 bank when it is straight and level. The VDI appears to be level. I have seen the over G thread that may break INS but this goes away sometimes like after landing. Is it auto fixing the INS? Finally, I saved a track file for this and when I try to watch it Jester's menu is stuck on the screen and I cannot get rid of it. This happens intermittently and I cannot think of why it is doing this especially when I am outside the aircraft. Also, when viewing the track it does things that did not happen in the flight. IE it goes full throttle on taxi instead of going on to runway and taking off.
  3. I am also getting this fairly regularly.
  4. I'd pay for a D add on. If I'm going to buy a module I really like having variants and using them in missions that require the different variants.
  5. Have you or someone else wrote a script for the BINGO wheel?
  6. Just got this module and have been banging my head trying to find these commands Thanks for writing this!
  7. I am using 3 monitors. I have MFD's on the side monitors and the primary view on the center. I also use the MFD's on the IPad. My setup was straight forward. Drag and enlarge/shrink like in photoshop. Where I ran into problems was when I restarted the pc the settings were lost. This was due to no VCServer folder being created due to write protection. The dev was in contact through email regularly once I contacted him through the support link.
  8. http://www.simvc.com/downloads/manual.pdf http://www.simvc.com/#services If you are having problems with your settings not being saved make sure you have a folder in C:Users/User Name/Documents/VCServer Also make sure it is not write protected. I have it working fine. All MFD's work and I primarily use for the UFC. There are a few bugs but I haven't heard anything from the original poster about fixing them.
  9. Lex, thanks for the videos I'm finding them very easy to follow and it has gotten me quite far on how to operate fairly quickly. I plan on using DCS during the winter when I'm not flying. Mover, thanks for sharing your personal story on YouTube. I too was discouraged out of the flight program but I didn't stick with it and I knew nothing about airguard "hiring" pilots. I was in Meridian in 93 what a dump. I hope they have improved it. Man, there was nothing to do there. Thanks to all the pilots posting videos. They're entertaining and very helpful. Only a few years ago we couldn't expect such great interaction and usefulness for a PC title.
  10. A-6 would make the naval strike package open up for many conflicts from Vietnam era too Gulf War. Maybe an EA add on later.
  11. I got 4 on Ebay for 100 bucks. I run 3 in the same layout as the hornet and use an Ipad for the UFC. This drastically reduces workload as opposed to a mouse I've mapped radio functions to the mouse as well as F10, cockpit, and chase views. TrackIR I only have to use keyboard for specialty stuff now usually at the beginning or end of flight.
  12. F9 is the default TrackIR pause key. I would change that to another key in TrackIR programming because it messes with a lot of things in DCS using an "F" key. I use numberpad 8. Then just use your HOTAS software to program that key to your stick.
  13. If that slider is an axis I would put a slight curve to it. I'm using an X-56 and straight axis is too touchy - accelerate/decelerate too much too easy. Adding a slight 1 or 2 curve changed it completely. You can't just set the throttle and forget it landing or refueling. It's nearly in constant motion.
