  2. Yo-Yo, What was your role? Tracking operator? Fire control officer or maybe even battery commander? Tell us more! Were you using S-75 but Dvina or Wolchov M2? M3? with P-18? Awesome! I don't think it even needs to be too detailed with math for AI, what would be more important for gameplay would be: - maybe having some shortcuts for RCS (fighter with small RCS, fighter with big RCS , bomber) so there would be launch at different distance and to avoid building RCS simulation and database - different tracking modes (half lead, half-lead elevated by constant, direct/three point) => different flight path of missiles - more realistic of noise jamming burn-through (based on ECM % and maybe even on installed ECM pod). So one flying would really feel that having an ECM pod matters - don't even bother with Fresnel Zone (more like: straight lines for radar simulation should be good enough for gameplay) - better simulation of ECM others than noise jamming (S75 would need to internally know what kind of plane is that and assume some of it's ECM techniques) - simulation of transmitter disabled but still computing plane position (so pilot is not 100% sure if he is tracked or not, missile may be even in flight) - the simulation of radio proximity fuse [100m,300m,off/K3=detonation by RSN] based on target parameters on launch - simulation of fake launch codes like in Vietnam so that pilot never knows if the missile is in flight or not - some smarter built-in emulation IADS (Senezh, Vector, Asturk) for multiple S75 batteries. Just a simple logic so not all of them are always attacking or are attacking much more intelligently , see this https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=118175 (more like cat&mouse game) - (hard) simulation of passive engagement with three point mode when fielded in group with I87 or other PRW Such list as above would make S75 a thing that needs to be dealt with and this plays nicley with upcoming HARM for Hornet ;) Later of course if that will ever happen (I hope so!), I think that the bigger problem might be multiple-screens, but certainly one person is capable of managing one battery end-to-end (e.g. like multiple screens similar to RCTRL-F10/ SA15 PIP Radar / like those AWACS LUA pages? Those could be perfectly 2D images - no need for full 3D cockpits , just with good textures). One could switch between multiple S75 batteries (SNRs) in CA and even perhaps enter independent P-12/P-15/P-18 from F-10 map. From what I can tell there is all data you need on sites such as http://rtv-pvo-gsvg.narod.ru/ (even for SDC/MTI, GshV) - I've tried to translate some via Google Translate. SAMSim quite recently got also simulation of Range Gate Pull Off/Angle Deception Jamming. In http://www.mediafire.com/download/y5s92qmc18jdkms/SAMSim_docs_150803.rar RAR there is Advanced SA-2E that contains a lot of interesting info even not contained in SAMsim that goes into great detail what author simulates and what not. There are a lot of public engineering books in USA too, so even ECM techniques from 60,70,80s are not secret anymore. At least we know that we (SAM fans) have Comrade in ED that really understands us and the historic balance ! :) Death to those pesky fighters ! ;)

  4. In SAMSim you can actually have 3 in flight and after 1st or 2nd hits you lock second target, so you can actually splash two targets if you they are close.
  5. +1. It's stable in SP but MP is completely not playable (16GB RAM here too).
  6. Does any body knows if model visibility/model enlargement/model scaling/LODs are going to be enhanced in 2.5 so that we have something better than in 1.5.x? (I don't have 2.1/2.2 so I cannot compare it to 1.5). As per Sithspawn I could find only that "this issue is reported, the issue is being discussed internally, and the issue is being worked on as it can be around changes in the new engine." - https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=157129&page=66 . Also I couldn't find Wags stating anything related to this problem/bug(?)...

On one of the pages at the bottom there is "Next project.", it is marked as created with 3DSMax (only software that is able to export to ED's/DCS EDM format). On the tire itself there is "Flight" word, there is also separate page for A6M5 Zero but from 2016 (the TBA can't be Japanese due to the "flight" word on the tire though). Can anyone help identify it ? :music_whistling: Maybe those are still Corsair parts (yes I'm aware of https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3103568&postcount=35) ?

  12. Hi Cobra/RagnarDa, are there any plans to fix BK90J2 in future? For me there are 3 nearly game breaking features for breaching very heavy SAM protected sites (DEAD-like missions) where going above 10m = death due to variety of SAMs and going above 40-50m for drop is possible but only for 2-3 seconds: a) in multiplayer BK90J2 behaves like big guided missile and not cluster munition, and as it is gliding rather than flying like real BK90 it causes it to collide with some other objects on the way. This happens especially in very low alt mode (30-40m set via TAKT 9xxxx, single/both doesn't matter and in default compact mode) b) in multiplayer when you die (e.g. one is killed by SAM) BK90 suddenly disappears c) in single player BK90J2 (even with 100% ideal coordinates) 99% of the time (always?) does not destroy unit directly beneath it, if i recall properly this applies even when dropping two at once in any mode (wide/tail/compact). This prevents pin-point attacks on tracking radars while BK90 should be precision weapon. Thanks in advance for reply, loyal fan :)

  14. I have question , even since openbeta 1.5.5 I've nearly lost visibility that i used to have even with Model Enlargement . I've done simple test to in order to verify (all on the same Model Enlargement): a) playing on MiG-21 with 2560x1440 with 8x anisotropic filtering - nearly unable to spot anything b) playing on MiG-21 with 2560x1440 with NO anisotropic filtering c) playing on MiG-21 with 1280x1024 (on 28" ! yay!!) with NO anisotropic filtering - able to spot everything from miles away Please tell me, how we are about to play fair in multiplayer if two players even on same hardware have completley different situation awareness? (one can see everything the other cannot see anything). Before 1.5.5 it was NOT so bad ... was there some silent change not mentioned in change log? can i customize it?

Ok my feedback is as follows regarding current openbeta/1.5.4: - bug: kneeboard is not working (sometimes only 1st page, sometimes nothing; => makes nagviation impossible as I do not memorize RSBN stations ;)) - FPS in -21 appears to be better/smother? - honestly I haven't notice any changes regarding radar rendering - new FM rocks, those stalls are even more epic ;) - bug: radar lamp is not illuminating when radar is on

  19. I can confirm the following bugs: - too wide FOV aspect for IR missiles - nearly no external view sounds - huge FPS drop especially near Sukhumi city in MP (big city, many buildings)
