There is only Russians and Americans that can send people to space by their own technology. At the moment, Americans are using Russian rocket boosters to get to space, Not because they can not make them by them self but because it is cheaper at the moment. Russians are first to offer space tourism, as they were the first in space, I see nothing wrong with that. Same for those who have been dreaming of flying a fast jet. Its not like Russians are selling chemical weapons or nuclear weapons to anyone who desire it. In the end Russians had to do what they could from 1992 to save what was left. -
Im sure there is countermeasures against it,top secret thou. Smoke can do the trick well, cheaper than laser that need a tracking device tracking the incoming missile.

Anyone do ANYTHING for the right amount of money, not only Russians. If we see F-15s on MAKS airshows I would not be surprised that Su-27s and Mig-29s attending on American air shows frequently. Ukrainians sold a Su-27 to American company so some of you might even see Su-27 with US markings on it ;) -

Dynamic Campaign Discussion Thread

Multiplayer Dynamic campaign is what we need. A great start would be if we had a option to save the mission where it ended. The biggest time killer when running a dynamic campaign in DCS is to replace the units at their new positions and delete killed units. -
Does the Su-27 have similar file where we could bring up the shining a bit? Im working on a skin at the moment and would like to bring up the shining slightly.

I hope some will start to work on 3d party terrains, because Some of us don't want to get stuck in Nevada for as long time as we been in Georgia. I find nevada not the optimal area for a flight sim. I guess it all happened when A-10C was developed and now we will have to get transferred there against our will. 3d party developers Im sure there is a lot of cash to make on terrain for modern combat..

This test is made from ~25km at ALT of 5000m. I will post similar test on ALT 7500 and 10000m. Give me feedback if you would like the test to be done in a different way. ER-27_AIM-120C_5000m.rar

Like Rage said which I agree whit. Jammers don't serve that great purpose as they did before because the burn thru occurs at ranges where hitting a target is less than 5%.

Or make ECM like it was in FC1 where opponents could break a lock by turning jammer as fast and as much they wanted. At least ECM were useful against ER-27 long range shots and against F15s TWS.

Difference between AIM-120 and ER-27 guidance is top secret, we just can not get any info on how good this missile are against chaff or how good they track the target in different conditions. The only thing we know and do base our assumption on is that AIM-120 is newer missile, But we don't know by how much AIM-120 track better,Its up to ED to decide. I would recommend as a hardcore simulator enthusiast to make the tracking differences minimal because AIM-120 have already obvious edge in being active. Difference in tracking should not be that noticeable. At the moment we as 51st can not confirm exactly how ER-27 behaves against AIM-120, but we are working on it and testing ER-27 against AIM-120C with the latest missile data file.

This setting on chaff resistance need to some attention because if only one missile miss like ER-27 but not Aim-120C we get a problem that pilots start to exploit this instead making maneuver that are needed to avoid the missile. Aim-120 already have the the edge because it is active, making it track better than ER will not make this simulator more realistic because only those who fight against Aim-120 will have to make proper maneuvers to avoid the missile by going 90° notch while those who fight ER-27 can avoid the missile more than often by just going 45°. That is not Acceptable and do not make this simulator more realistic at all. And if you believe so its only a bias assumption that can not be proven so why even go there and make more mess by giving to big differences on how good different missiles track the target. The difference should be minimal if ER have a lock against active Aim-120 because there is no prove that says anything else. Rather than that Aim-120 is a newer missile and it can be debatable by by how much Aim-120 should track better. If you ask me as a hard core simulator enthusiast I would make the difference minimal because Aim-120 have already a edge in being active. Putting to big differences on guiding will just make people stop use ER-27 as they did in FC2. I don't want the community to start finding the settings Su-27 and F-15 could fly against eachother, It's better that ED make it right from the start so we don't get FC2 situation.

No One believe that a developer can make a bug free simulator/game, it is impossible. FC1 and FC2 was crashing as well but we were able to pinpoint the reason of the crash and try to prevent it next time. By not log in to server 40 people at the same time. Have a limit on moving target and a limit on how many units we could have in a mission. In FC3 we have problems to pinpoint the problem. The missions are lighter than they were in FC2, we fly whit less people on servers and we are not using CA. There is a lot of testing still needed to find the new limits in FC3 but its very unmotivating when the server is crashing for reasons we can't understand. Its even silly to talk about Su-27 EOS and TWS when we have bigger problems on the table. Good luck ED, We All just want you to succeed because we see the potential.

Since FC3 realise, is considered as darkest time in EDs history on all fronts. Im sure ED are aware about our feelings and are working on it. But I do understand some of us, especially the multiplayer community and squads that have been keeping the multiplayer community alive by supporting whit servers, missions and events are on their last breath, the motivation is just not there anymore, Its hard to motivate people with dreams that we all have been waiting for more than a year. I wish ED best luck since I had great time when FC1/2 was working, and I hope ED can bring us back what they took away. EDs "Perestrojka" don't have fuel for the multiplayer community.

Since FC1 on till today I have been following this forums daily. During this time I have been in many disputes with one and another where the bottom line have alway been by both part to improve this amazing simulator to more realistic and more immersive experience. I would like to thank ED for their work and everyone in this forums who could bear with me all this years by calibrating my 1111th post:)
